You're My Only Star

With the first half of the event ended, Song Xing Xing decided to take a break and headed to the restroom. Someone was afraid that she might get lost in the hall and decided to wait for her nearby.

Fortunately, by the time Song Xing Xing had arrived, the queue had lessened.

Song Xing Xing waited outside and saw that a few A-list celebrities were queuing with her as well. A few of them exchanged their smile with her. Although they were curious about her identity, no one had spoken a word to her. After all, the people who managed to attend this event and used this floor should not be anyone ordinary.

Most of the A-list celebrities have been in their industry for a long time. Therefore, they knew well that there are certain people that they could not offend.

Song Xing Xing stood alone while listening to the others whispering some gossips. 

By the time she came out of the restroom, the crowd was no longer around. She turned to find Lu Xun at the spot where they had promised to meet.

As she turned around a corner, her gaze caught the sight of two men talking. Judging from their expression, whatever they were talking about should not be anything pleasant.

Her eyes narrowed when Song Xing Xing recognized that one of them was Huo Yun Chen. As for the other man, he seemed to be a celebrity as well. Song Xing Xing does not seem to remember his name. Just that, he had a few hit songs for the past few years.

Swiftly, Song Xing Xing hid behind the walls and decided to wait until their chat was over. 

A frown appeared on her face as she tried to listen to their conversation. However, their voices were too soft and she could not hear anything. 

Suddenly a loud voice could be heard coming from their direction. Song Xing Xing turned around and saw that Huo Yun Chen was pushing the man to the wall. His expression was filled with anger. It looked like a fight was about to break out.

Her eyes widened in surprise as she wondered what was going on.

Although she had known Huo Yun Chen for a short time, the man was always very gentle spoke to her and everyone around him. She had watched him during his shooting for the variety show as well as that new drama. Huo Yun Chen was always respectful towards others. The directors as well as everyone who worked for him loved having him around. Even the production team would praise his kindness. Huo Yun Chen is a popular celebrity with a lot of fans. But he was still very humble.

Song Xing Xing stood behind the wall and weight her decision.

If she showed up in front of them at this time, the situation would only turn awkward.

Her body tensed as she heard some chattering voice, coming over their way. Turning around, there was a group of celebrities and reporters walking in her direction. Those people might not care much when they see her. However, once they turned in that corner and saw that Huo Yun Chen was pushing that celebrity to the wall, rumors were going to spread.

It was bad enough that Huo Yun Chen was rumored to be partying with a group of underage girls a month ago.

Huo Yun Chen had worked hard to recover after his accident and finally made his comeback. If a new rumor surfaced, it was going to affect his reputation. 

With those thoughts in her mind, Song Xing Xing decided to come out of her hiding place.

"Huo Yun Chen!" Her voice was urgent.

Hearing that familiar voice, Huo Yun Chen quickly turned around. The expression on his face gradually changed as he saw Song Xing Xing's face. For an instant, he was still wondering if he was imagining things. 

Song Xing Xing walked over to him and smiled. "What are you doing here? I have been looking for you for a while."

His grip on the other celebrities loosened. Huo Yun Chen looked at the girl in front of him with a confused look on his face. "Little Star?"

Song Xing Xing shifted her gaze towards the other man and pretended that she had only seen him. She flashed him an awkward smile and spoke, "Was I interrupting?"

The man clicked his tongue. Clearly, he was not happy that another person had suddenly appeared. He gave Song Xing Xing a look over and frowned.

"What are you doing here?" Huo Yun Chen spoke

"President Lu is looking for you," Song Xing Xing lied. "Please come over with me."

Huo Yun Chen shot her a puzzled look. But seeing that she does not seem to be joking, he decided to believe her words.

It was at this time that the group of celebrities and reporters turned into that corner. 

Everyone was a little stunned the moment they saw each other. The anger on Huo Yun Chen's face completely disappeared. His eyes caught the sight of the camera in the reporter's hand and quickly understood that he was in a dangerous situation.

If Song Xing Xing did not appear, then, the reporters would surely saw the scene where he was attacking Yan Yi Xie. Then… his news would definitely explode on social media.

Instinctively, Huo Yun Chen flashed an amiable smile and exchanged a few words with the celebrities and the reporters. Noticing that the reporters were eyeing his friend, Huo Yun Chen quickly played along.

"Miss Song, didn't you say that President Lu is looking for me? Where is he now?"

"I'll lead you to him."

Huo Yun Chen excused himself and quickly followed Song Xing Xing to leave the area. 

Once they got farther from the others, he then picked up his pace and whispered, "Little Star, what are you doing here?"

"You are lucky that I stopped you from acting recklessly. If the reporters saw what you were doing, you would be in a lot of trouble."

"You saw." An embarrassed look appeared on his face. Suddenly, he was no longer curious as to why this girl had suddenly appeared in front of him.

Huo Yun Chen was about to explain what was going on between him and Yan Yi Xie when he saw the tall man walking over to them. Their gazes met and they both looked at each other in surprise.

"President Lu," Huo Yun Chen greeted.

Lu Xun nodded at him before he turned to his girlfriend. "What took you so long? Did something happened?" 

Huo Yun Chen watched their interaction and had thought that Song Xing Xing was telling him the truth. President Lu was indeed looking after him.
