You're My Only Star

On the day of the Red Entertainment Award, Lu Xun picked up his girlfriend and sent her over to Celine's place for her to get ready. When they arrived, Song Xing Xing was surprised at the number of people in the makeup team that Celine had called to help her prepare. 

Without wasting time, Song Xing Xing was dragged into a room where a group of stylists was waiting for her.

She was forced to sit down and the stylish quickly did their work to help her to look good. 

Celine saw that Lu Xun was still standing in the lounge and told him that it will take a couple of hours for his girlfriend to get ready. "You might as well come over an hour later."

The corner of his lips twitched.

"Do you think it's easy for a girl to look pretty?" Celine laughed. "There are a lot to do and a lot of time to spend on dress and makeup."

His Xing Xing is already very pretty. Why would she want to spend hours looking prettier?

In the end, Lu Xun could not win in his argument with Celine. He was a little anxious to leave and decided to stay and wait for Song Xing Xing to finish. 

Celine gave him a look over and a thought suddenly came to her mind. She instructed her assistant to prepare something. After a while, Celine went into her office and started to make her preparation. A while later, she came out holding a piece of cloth in her hand.

"Lu Xun, come over." Celine waved her hand at him. "Bent over for me."

The frown on his face deepened. "What do you want to do?"

Celine clicked her tongue. "Just bent over as I ask you to do. Why do you have to ask so many questions? Trust me, alright?"

Lu Xun narrowed his eyes as he watched her suspiciously. In the end, he followed his instruction and leaned over. 

His eyes widened in surprise when Celine suddenly fumbled with his bow tie and toss it away. Swiftly, Lu Xun took a step back. 

"Stay still." Celine shot him a warning look. "I'm just going to style you up a little bit. Trust me. You will thank me later."

Lu Xun hesitated before he finally decided to listen to his friend. 

Her lips curled into a smile. Celine helped to unbutton the two top buttons on his dress shirt, to give him a casual look. Then, she fumbled with the piece of clothing in her hand and slid it into the breast pocket of his suit. Taking a step back, Celine then helped to smooth up his dressing a little bit.

"This looks better," Celine said. He helped to turn him and let him look into the full mirror. "What do you think?"

Lu Xun heaved a helpless sigh. "It doesn't matter how I dress up. Everyone is going to show up in their suit. No one will pay much attention to it."

Celine merely flashed him a mysterious smile before she turned around to the changing room.

After working with the stylist for a few hours, Song Xing Xing was finally allowed to leave the room. Celine blocked her with her body, intending to give her friend a surprise.

Hearing the approaching footsteps, Lu Xun rose from his seat. He pushed his glasses with his finger and stared in the direction with an anxious look on his face. His eyes narrowed when he saw Celine.

He wanted to look at his girlfriend, but another person had appeared instead.

Celine chuckled upon noticing the change in his expression. "Look at you. So impatient?" Seeing the displeased look on his friend's face, Celine quickly moved aside to reveal the person behind her.

His eyes were unblinking as he watched his girlfriend in front of him. Song Xing Xing was dressed in a gray-silver A-line dress. The dress hugged her at the right curve and the fabric swayed as she moved around. Her long hair was styled into a bun. Her makeup was light and her lips were red. The person in front of him looked very elegant without being over the top.

Song Xing Xing walked over and finally stopped as she reached in front of him. She pushed a few strands of hair behind her ear and looked at him shyly. "How do I look?"

The moment he saw the color of her dress, Lu Xun finally understood why Celine had slid the handkerchief in his breast pocket. The color of his handkerchief was the same as her dress. Standing side by side, Lu Xun realized that they were matched in a couple look. 

Lu Xun stretched his hand to hold her hands. His eyes bore into hers as he whispered. "You look beautiful." He glanced at Celine and nodded to thank her.

Celine passed a small clutch bag to Song Xing Xing. After ensuring that everything was perfect, she then let the couple go.

"I'll mail you the bill later." Celine smiled when Lu Xun looked at her.

After thanking his friend once again, Lu Xun drove away and the two headed to the venue together.

When they arrived, the cars were already lined up to enter. 

The light flashed and the fans were standing nearby to support their favorite celebrities. There were too many people around and the guards were busy controlling the situation.

Because Song Xing Xing did not want to be under the spotlight, Lu Xun chose to be low-key and entered with Director Fei and a few higher-ups from their entertainment agency. 

Seeing that the group of people entering together, the reporters did not pay attention to the others and only focused on Lu Xun. After all, previously, Lu Xun has been linked with a few celebrities. Everyone was curious to know about his love life and if the rumors about him with a few celebrities a while ago.

Song Xing Xing lowered her gaze as she entered the hall with the higher-ups.

As Lu Xun had already instructed the others to look after his girlfriend, Director Fei was protecting her well. Seeing that there was no one around, Director Fei turned to Song Xing Xing with an awkward smile on his face.

"Miss Song," Director Fei spoke cautiously. "You and President Lu…"

Lu Xun finished his interview in time and walked over to them. He wrapped his arms around her waist and looked at the director. "Director Fei, let me introduce you… this is my girlfriend, Song Xing Xing."

Director Fei looked at the girl in surprise. It was then that Director Fei seemed to notice that the pocket square on President Lu matched with the girl.

"My girlfriend is a little shy," Lu Xun said. "Director Fei, please keep this a secret."
