We Are Destined - Let Me Pamper You

Roxie and Gemie bark and growled looking at Jianyu.

Feng Jianyu "…."

Ghost saw Xiu Mei laughing and a content smile broke on his face too and he joined her in the laugh, pulling his wounds because of too much movement.

He hissed in pain.

Xiu Mei gently holds his shoulder and stopped him from laughing.

"Please rest! I'll come back later" Xiu Mei got up but before leaving she narrowed her eyes at Ghost and warned, "Don't even think of leaving this place. I have decided to keep you, Roxie and Gemie with me until you are completely healed"

"But…."

"NO DISCUSSIONS ON THE TOPIC. Trust me, I'm equally ruthless and dangerous as my man. He didn't tied you up with the bed because of me but I can." Xiu Mei said while leaving the room.

After coming out Feng Jianyu saw Xiu Mei lost in thoughts and rubbed her shoulder, "You are thinking about Ghost's protective behavior towards you" He said and Xiu Mei nodded, "Not only that but the way he looks at me. There's something different in his gaze"

"Hm! I feel so too" Feng Jianyu contemplated, "You know Mei, the first thing he asked after waking up was about you. Judging him with his worried tone and selfless attitude, it seems as if all this comes to him naturally. Definitely, he is not faking any of this" Suddenly he recalled an important piece of information, "Moreover, it was Ghost who gave you the magazine with one less bullet to prevent you from committing suicide"

"What?"

When Ghost was brought here for treatment nurse found an unused bullet in his pants pocket. Wang Shi informed about it to Jianyu and handover the bullet as per his demand. Not so surprisingly, the bullet belongs to the gun with which Xiu Mei tried to kill herself.

This concluded that when she counted one less bullet, Ghost got the hunch of her suicidal thought. As a precautionary measure, he deliberately sneaks out a bullet from the magazine before passing it to her.

"Yes! It was not your counting mistake but Ghost's prudence towards your odd behavior" Xiu Mei saw him clenching his cheeks muscles as he spoke. That incidence still bothers him to no extent. Feeling guilty she squeezed Jianyu's hand, who squeezed her hand back in response and rubbed her shoulder.

"But Jianyu why would a stranger be so caring and thoughtful towards me?"

"Maybe he is not a stranger" Feng Jianyu stated and Xiu Mei looked at him with horrified eyes as the realization hit her.

"Exactly! That's possible" She looked at the closed door of Ghost room and pondered, "Jianyu I need more information about Ghost. Can you ask someone to investigate him? There's a small cottage around five hours drive from the crash site. That's his home" She took out her phone and messaged him the accurate coordinates, "I stayed for a night at his place. Maybe we could find something"

"Don't worry! I've already ordered my men to do that. But these coordinates will definitely be helpful. Send them to my phone instead." said Lu Xion while walking towards them from the corridor. Along with him came his dangerous aura that he conceals in front of Xiu Mei only. But due to the presence of a certain someone beside her, it became impossible right now.

Xiu Mei always feels uncomfortable with his frightening aura. Although he kept her away from underworld activities, to turn her into a strong woman and to teach her that sometimes it becomes necessary to kill someone in order to save your own life, he used some harsh methods.

She remembers it vividly when he tricked her into a mission in order to test the shooting skills he had taught till date. He took her to a secret mission in the name of using her computer skills and went inside an abandoned factory alone, leaving Xiu Mei in the car with only a gun in the name of weapon.

She was surprised that he hadn't brought his team as always and went inside unprotected.

Minutes later she received an emergency message from Lu Xion asking for help. Without thinking she went inside the factory to save him.

There Lu Xion was surrounded by twelve men, holding various weapons. Their intention was clear, kill this man at any cost as this was the golden opportunity that they found him alone. Lu Xion stood there indifferently, with his hands tucked inside the pocket. He didn't move an inch when he saw them walking towards him one by one.

He boldly stood rooted to the ground like a lion waiting for his prey to make the first move.

Without thinking, before those men could hurt Lu Xion, Xiu Mei fired at one of them who charged at Lu Xion holding a knife. A loud gunshot echoed throughout the factory and blood flowed from the man's head.

Lu Xion's face was blank all the time as he looked at the remaining eleven coldly. Everyone looked around the factory but didn't saw anyone, as it was too dark. Moreover, hiding from enemies was part of Lu Xion's trainingand she excelled in it.

Everyone pulled out their guns and pointed at Lu Xion, blackmailing his accomplice to show up. But the next second, several gunshots were heard and her aim was right on the culprits' forehead. Blood flowed out as they fell on the floor one by one.

Xiu Mei's eyes were as sharp as an eagle and she did not waste even a single bullet. Her mathematical calculation and angle technique was something that's unique to her. Even Lu Xion was surprised by her advanced calculation and precision while teaching her. She was smartly using mathematical concepts to her advantage.

Sadly the gun which Lu Xion gave her had only ten bullets magazine and two men were still left. But before she could do anything two more gunshots echoed and Xiu Mei saw those men dropping dead on the floor.

An army of people appeared out of nowhere and surrounded them. She was shocked that all these men belongs to Lu Xion's personal team and they obviously came to protect their Boss from any unwanted situation.

Later Lu Xion gave a devilish smile and shrugged his shoulder when he sensed Xiu Mei's sharp gaze on him. She saw two bullet holes with burnt corner on his front pockets in which he had tucked his hands before. This means last two bullets were fired by him using pocket guns.

He walked towards her and patted her head like praising a little kitten for being good. "Good job. But work harder on your speed. You almost got me killed today"

Xiu Mei rolled her eyes upon knowing that he was testing her skills using himself as bait. But she was more surprised at herself that despite killing ten men she was not scared, nervous, dizzy, or guilty. These men were no saints but criminals and by killing them she did social work for the society.
