Feng Jianyu picked her up from the bed and takes her to the bathroom.

"mmm… What are you doing?" Xiu Mei asked with a frown.

The man did not answer anything and gently lowered her until her feet touched the ground. Holding her waist firmly he splashed warm water on her face to wake her up. She wanted to complain but his ice-cold face and tight grip on her waist clearly showed disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e. She obediently lowered her face towards the sink to let him splash water.

As she expected, he brought her back to the room where a scrumptious meal was already placed on the table. He seated her beside him and ordered coldly, "You will eat dinner first, then eat medicines, later Wang Shi would examine you and then you will rest. Am I clear?"

Xiu Mei lifted her head up and wanted to say something but Jianyu glared at her sternly.

"I'm not giving you any choice. These are my orders. Be obedient"

Xiu Mei was startled and pouted her lips. "Whose fault was that that I'm so drained of energy?"

"Who seduced me first? Who blackmailed me in the name of Orange? Who wanted to bath together? Who w.h.i.n.ed like a child when I brought you back to the bedroom? Who drooled over my hot body? Who shouted 'more' again and again?"

"Shut Up! I never shouted 'more' even once"

"But you wanted to. Because obviously, you liked it" He answered it as a matter of fact.

"Narcisssiist!" Xiu Mei muttered.

Feng Jianyu "…."

"Fine! Then I'll not do it again"

"Think again CEO Feng. Are you sure you can control yourself?"

"You…" Feng Jianyu clenched his fist tightly. Indeed he won't be able to control himself in front of her. Moreover, after tasting her once, he already planned to do it every other day and increase the number of rounds gradually.

He patted Xiu Mei lightly on the head, "Eat first! Then you can take as much rest you want. I'm there to protect your sleep"

Xiu Mei accepted it with a smile and ate her meal and medicines without any tantrums.

Next day…. As promised, Feng Jianyu brought her to meet Ghost and dogs. As soon as she entered the room Roxie and Gemie wagged their tail and ran towards her. Xiu Mei returned their love by bending down slightly and taking them in her arms, patting their head.

Xiu Mei laid her eyes on Ghost who was sleeping on his stomach and his back was wrapped in bandages. She looked at Feng Jinyu accusingly, "You never told me that Uncle Ghost was seriously injured."

"He almost lost his life" Feng Jianyu sighed, "Wang Shi and I collectively decided to hide this news from you until he crossed the critical time. I'm sorry for hiding this, but at that time it was best for you"

Xiu Mei nodded in guilt and walked up to the sleeping man. His face was pale. She realized he lost some weight also.

Ghost brought his trembling hands near her face but stopped mid-way thinking about something. Before he could retrieve it completely, Xiu Mei softly hold his hand against her cheeks "Please tell me why you did this?" She requested.

Ghost chuckled, "I was performing my duties in which I failed before"

Xiu Mei "…" 'Again duties! Last time he repeated the same line. What does he mean by this?' She looked at him with a complicated gaze.

"What duties are you talking about?"

Ghost fell silent at her question and looked intricately at her beautiful face. He softly patted her cheek before retrieving his hand back. His gaze collided with Feng Jinayu. "So, h-he is that man you promised to grow old with"

Xiu Mei frowned at the change of topic and looked over her shoulder at Jianyu. "Yes…. He is my man" She answered anyway.

"Does he treat you well?" There was obvious resentment in his voice for how Feng Jianyu has refrained him from leaving the place and forcefully giving him proper medical treatment.

"Yes… No one can love me as much he loves" Xiu Mei replied without blinking an eye. However, she felt there was something odd about Ghost's behavior. Since the time she had met him, he behaved protectively towards her.

Thinking of the time she had spent in his company, he never looked for any adventure or something but deliberately followed to protect her. His motive was clear from day one that was to watch over her and keep her safe.

But Why? Why would he do that? Why would he be willing to risk his life for a complete stranger? Moreover, the way he looks at her, it seems as if he knows everything about her.

Ghost nodded his head, "Good! But this man is ruthless, keep Roxie and Gemie with you for protection
