Before she could ramble anything more the man' sealed her lips with strong and fiery affection. He did not say anything, but Xiu Mei could feel his strong emotions through the kisses alone.

But this was not what she had imagined. Why life after death feels like she never died? Is this any parallel world?

In her confused state, her lips were bitten harshly….

"Owww…" She cried out loud as her lips sting. She looked at him with complaint in her eyes as tears flowed non stop.

He looked at her with raging fury. "What did you said just now? Don't miss me much? Move ahead?"

She licked her lips and said, "Why this pain feels so real? Can dead people feel pain?"

"Still in daze ah?" He dived in for another unyielding kiss.

She hit on his c.h.e.s.t feeling her lungs being s.u.c.k.e.d out of air. A long while later, he let go of her lips and asked sternly. "Do you still have any thoughts left to leave me alone, do you?"

Xiu Mei stared him blankly for some time. She did not dare to say anything, afraid of being kissed again. But confusion took over her senses. She was sure of pulling the trigger and gunshot voice. But what happened after that and what's happening right now is out of her understanding. She mustered the courage and asked, "Jianyu, please answer in yes and No… Am I still alive?"

Even though she asked him to answer in yes or No this time, but his expression seemed worse than ever and he kissed her more wildly. He was surely taking some kind of revenge on her.

She let him do it as per his wish, it's not that she hates his kiss anyway. In fact, in these few days she craved for everything related to this adorable and possessive monster…. It made her realize how much impossible it is to live without him.

All this while he was careful of her injuries and didn't dare to touch anywhere near it.

An undetermined amount of time passed before he finally let go of her lips, but kept on holding her in his arms tightly. "Silly! What were you trying to do before I came? How dare you to even think about taking your life? How can you be so selfish to leave me alone in this world? Remember Mei, everything related to you is not yours but mine. This body, life, soul and heart, everything belongs to Feng Jianyu. So how dare you to destroy something that's not even yours? Tell me dammit!" He seethed, his eyes burning in anger. His raspy tone pierced right through the heart.

Xiu Mei jumped in fear knowing he saw her doing that.

Last night when they were on a rescue mission he saw the fire erupting from a certain direction and understood that's the place where Xiu Mei is, surrounded by enemies. While searching her through night vision binoculars he saw her in a dizzy state holding gun in her hand. Before he could do something, she placed it against her temple…. His body froze the very moment. Unconsciously he shouted at the top of his lungs from the chopper, asking her to stop this nonsense but can his voice reach her? You can imagine the scare he had felt at that time.

His eyes watered up but relief flooded him on getting her safe and sound, "Mei, you have no idea how scared I was when I saw you holding that damn gun against your head. I wanted to punch on your face for coming up with something this stupid" His jaw tensed, as he tried his best to not scare her but his mind refused to let go of the scariest scene he had ever witnessed.

Goosebumps broke out on her skin when she imagined how he must have felt at that time. She could still see it in his eyes, helpless, terrified, nervous, worried, angry… Just how cruel she is to let him witness something like that. 

Her lips quivered and she buried her face in his c.h.e.s.t, her safe haven…

The tears Xiu Mei had been holding in up till now falls down hard, uncontrollably, as she clung on to him tightly and started wailing. The harder she cried the harder her body shook. Every tear bore the pain she suffered in these four days. "Jianyu….. I thought you are late….. I-Instead of letting you see my n.a.k.e.d disfigured body covered in bullet holes, this was the best option to perish before anyone could touch me…. I'm sorry for disappointing you"

"This time you tried to leave me forever, How can you?"

"You are my life Jianyu… I'm sorry"

"Were seven years of separation not enough that you thought of leaving me again?"

"Sorry… sorry…"

"You disappointed me, Mei. At that moment you were not killing yourself but me"

"Sorry…. Sorry… I was scared… Please hug me back…. Please give me the safe haven of your arms" All this while he didn't hug her back as her punishment and let out the bitterness he felt by her wrong decision.

"No! I'm not hugging you…" He spoke harshly and tried to push her away but she clung onto him for her dear life, refusing to let go of his waist.
