One Piece: The Eldest Brother

When I was following them, I saw luffy being outrun by a tree that Ace has literally kicked to Luffy which resulted in him being crushed by it. Thanks God that he was a rubber man, if not the various beasts in the forest would have for dinner, the leftover my brother left in this world.

I've wanted to stopped the tree but on a second thought I recalled grandpa told me to let Luffy fend off when he's in difficulty but to take care of him if it's really dangerous.

And so I just followed him from behind while thinking.

'Sorry little brother but it's for your own good, you're too weak for now, you have to grow quickly so that I won't have to be behind you all the time. ' I thought with a sigh.

Later on, Ace even made him fell off of a bridge. I really did want to push him off too even though I knew that it was Luffy who was pestering him. With this thought in my head I managed to restrain myself and continued my shadowing.

After that Luffy was chased by a pack of wolves that he succed in escaping just to fall on the territory of another pack of wolves.

He was chased till the night fell and then finally succeded.

The poor was wounded nearly everywhere and he was thoroughly exhausted.

When he made his way to Dadan's house, I saw Magra and Dogra looking for us. When they saw us they cried out loud and went rapidly to Dadan to tell her.

Luffy then was right in front of the house when Dadan barged out with Magra and Dogra and asked where he was.

She pinched his cheeks and asked "Oy, where were you, you brat !?"

"I was chased by wolves throughout the back of the mountain..." he replied with an exhausted face.

Dadan then looked behind him and said " And you ?" she asked curiously.

Edam who was behind replied " Oh nothing I was out to chase wolves to eat." he said with a smile while eating a piece of meat and carrying with his left hand four wolves that he didn't cooked.

Luffy who heard his big brother turn in surprised around and said " Niich-..." he didn't get to finish that he fell unconscious.

Edam who was closer caught him swiftly, and put him on his back.

"Where is our room ?" he asked Dadan.

"Hah !? And who told you that you had a roo-..." before she finished, Edam point his thumb behind him and said " Here is my presents for housing me and my brother."

When looked behind him two huges silouhettes could be seen in the dark.

Dogra and Magra's eyes were wide open with snot dropping out of their noses.

Two Elephanorino were lying down on the ground deader than dead.

"Didn't you said that you were chasing wolves ?" Dadan asked doubtfully.

"Is that so ?" Edam replied a little playfully while his tail swinging in the air and a small grin in the corner of his mouth.

They were so many bandits in the house so two Elephanorino wasn't really something that she would and could reject easily, and so she calmed down.

"Humph, you're really not easy to reject huh brat..." She said annoyed but with an imperceptible grin on her face.

Hearing her saying that a small smile appear on Edam's face.

"Come..." She said while she entered the house.

Edam then followed her to a room that she prepared for them.

"Sleep, you and your brother will do the shores tomorrows." She said while closing the door.

Concerning the room it wasn't luxury, no it wasn't even closed to decent, there wasn't a single bed to speak of, and not a single cover to be seen, it was more like a storage room than anything else.

In the room Ace was already asleep or what seems to be sleeping because I think I saw his eyelids twitching weirdly for a moment and even though that was not a proof that he was awake, but if that was the case then it prove that he really had good instinctive reactions.

Anyway he was the only one who had a cover and we did not, so I just put Luffy on the ground, and then went to Dadan to asked her for one but as she didn't want to give one, I went to steal the covers of two bandits who were too sleepy and drunk to noticed that nothing was covering them anymore.

It was painstakingly long but I still managed to do it in the end.

I have to say that destruction is more my forte than healing. It should be something I took from grandpa.

Having done my big brother part, I then decided to have a good sleep after saying. "Good night Luffy...and oh and you too Ace..."
