One Piece: The Eldest Brother

After this little argue between Luffy and Ace, his dear little brother still want Ace to apologize to him, but the latter didn't give a damn about Luffy's complains so he just went to him to hold his shoulder while saying.

"Oyy luffy...." He said with a big smile on his face.

Luffy replied " B... but niichan he-..." Edam stopped him before he finished his sentence, took his straw hat while putting it on his head and said "Oyy, Luffy didn't you tell me that the man who gave you this straw hat knew how to laugh even when somebody try to humiliate him?" Edam wore a small smile while looking at his little brother.

Hearing his big brother, Luffy's eyes widen a bit and suddenly seemed to recalled something, more precisely the face of a red-haired man.

He then nodded firmly and happily his head while saying " Humm!"

Edam then said " Yosh ( Good )" with a smile on his face while rubbing Luffy's head.

It was soon time to eat.

Luffy was really excited when it was time to eat, humm no in fact he's excited to eat at every moment of his life, and I couldn't say that I was better because I ate as much as him, if not even more... Life is food and food is life... Another motto of mine...

Anyway from time to time we will always have a food contest to see who was the best foodie.

Sometimes, it finished in a draw, but most of the time I won, maybe because I was older, who know...

Grandpa was the first to pay the price for our food contest, I think that's why he threw us in the jungle...

Anyway to Luffy's surprised and deception Dadan didn't serve us a single piece of meat but just one single bowl of rice and a glass of water.

They had ȧssault the food like hungry dogs not caring a single bit about their friendship if there was ever one.

Luffy gobble down his bowl of rice and asked for another one, in vain with Dadan explaining to him that they were mountain's bandits and not some babysitter and that she will make us do some daily jobs like slaves. But obviously I could see that Luffy didn't hear a single things of what she said and was just looking greedily at Ace's meat while drooling a little.

"Listen well you two, I will only give you one bowl of rice and one glass of water each, that will be your daily rations. Everythings else you will have to get it yourselves." Dadan said and continued to eat.

I didn't really care because it wasn't like I was expecting a bunch of bandits to take care of me, however Luffy was sulking a bit but he quickly broke out of his semi-sulking state with a big smile while recalling when grandpa threw him in the jungle.

I too was thrown in the jungle, so I know that it wasn't easy but we still did it.

I released a sigh and stood while saying to Luffy, "Luffy stay here , I'll be back." I said while putting a hand on Luffy's head while rubbing it a moment.

Luffy just said " Niichan ?" with a questioning face but still decided to listen to him.

Edam then exited the house making the noisy bandits & co stopped eating for a moment looking at the leaving figure of Edam.

Even Ace stopped eating for a moment before eating again.

Five to ten minutes then passed since Edam was gone.

"Are you sure you don't want to look for him, if something happened to him we're as good as dead, chief ! We're talking about Garp's grandson here, chief !" Dogra and Mogra asked nervously and tried to convince Dadan to search for him.

"Humph , just let him be, that would be better if he is dea-...." Dadan didn't managed to finished her sentence when everyone in the house heard a Great " BOOM!!! " echoing from far away but still powerfull enough to travel through the whole house making it tremble heavily for a moment.

It was the absolute silence for a moment, so much that you could hear the sound of bugs flying quietly in the air.

They then after five minutes or so heard the sound of footsteps outside closing on the shabby house.

They saw Edam open the door while saying

"Luffy, come I've caught something to eat." he said that with a faint smile while standing at the door with a bloody right hand but without a speck of dust on him to talked about.

Luffy then jump to his feet happily while giggling "Nihihi..." and he followed Edam outside.

Some of the curious bandits were going out too to see which animals could make so much noise, however when they saw what It was they were shocked stricken to the point that they nearly dropped their piece of meat on the ground, they cried in unison " Ehhhh ! " with their eyes nearly popping out of their sockets.

The reason was simple, in front of them were the tiny figures of two kids who were making a camp fire to cook an Elephanorino whose meat was deemed to be one of the best that someone could find on this island.

However catching one was easier said than done, one Elephanorino is already a little calamity on it's own and can cause great losses to small villages like fuschia, without stating the fact that they always move in a group of ten to twenty.

Even a team of twenty trained man would have to pay a great price to one down. However in front of them was a kid who took down an Elephanorino on its own.

Even though it was still a young one it was still an Elephanorino for god's sake !

And judging from the damage on its head, the battle was finished in one punch. The poor thing had a clear outline of a punching hand on its big head.

Luffy and Edam then prepared their foods and started to eat. It was Edam who cooked the food. Having lived in the jungle for a long time he quickly understood how important it was to learned how to cook so he had asked Makino to teach him a bit.

*Few minutes later*

While they were eating Luffy continued to talked again about his dream of becoming a pirate earning the attention of Ace. Of course the Luffy didn't noticed it.

The two gluttonous little monsters had finished the whole Elephanorino without a single bit of meat remaining on the body.

With the delicious aroma flowing in the air, every bandits want to take one bite but they didn't dare to, with the little monster who took it down in seemingly one punch, they didn't dare to try their luck with him.

Even Dadan want to asked for one however her pride didn't allowed her, when she told them not too long ago that they had to get themselves their own food.

After they finished eating Luffy noticed Ace leaving and tried to follow him in the forest.

Noticing Luffy following Ace in the forest, Edam was about to interfered but suddenly he thought 'Humm... maybe they will become friend after that ?' and so he just let him go and followed them quietly without them noticing.
