My Sweet Dr. Xu

Gu Nantian stared at her for several seconds with his dark and bottomless eyes. She looked at him and guiltily gulped.

She carefully sought his permission, "Can you please let me sleep first? I'll come and accompany you tomorrow."

Gu Nantian lowered his head and his face was so close to her, both their faces almost touched. "You cried just now?"

"…" His words made Xu Zhiyin's heart skip a beat. It was as if a needle was pricking into the deepest part of her heart.

She had indeed cried but it was way back when she was at the Ji's residence. Facing Ji Liunian's attitude, she couldn't control herself…

However, after such a long time, Gu Nantian could still notice?

This man had placed all his attention on her. Just a bit of unusualness, would be able to be sensed by him.

Xu Zhiyin moved her face away guiltily. "No."

Too bad, even when she denied, Gu Nantian didn't believe her.

When Xu Zhiyin hid her face in the blanket and didn't wish to discuss this matter further, Gu Nantian let loose his hand. She said she wasn't used to sleeping in his embrace. He didn't want to force her, letting her lie down quietly by the side.

Xu Zhiyin closed her eyes. Although Gu Nantian had let go of her, she still felt a pair of eyes on her all night.

She had never felt this way before. She felt Gu Nantian's care for her was proof that she still existed.

To her surprise, she liked him to care for her!

He was the only man who could sense her sadness very quickly!

The next morning, Xu Zhiyin woke up late.

In Gu Mansion, she need not go to the hospital to work. So, every day, she woke up late.

She was ready to sit up when she saw a pair of hands wrapped around her waist. Gu Nantian was still sleeping. He lay on the bed with his peaceful face. The sound of breathing in this quiet room was reminding her that they had slept on the same bed last night.

Xu Zhiyin had a guilty conscience, as if she had stolen something which did not belong to her.

She cautiously tried to move toward the edge of the bed without making any noise but the moment she reached the edge, she heard Gu Nantian's clear voice, "You're awake?"

His voice was gentle and he was smiling. He was completely different from last night.

This moment, his presence was not a pressure for her.

Xu Zhiyin said apologetically, "I'm sorry, I fell asleep on your bed last night."

Gu Nantian got down from the bed in his pajamas and walked toward her. He caught her hand which was buttoning her blouse…

Xu Zhiyin lowered her head, trying to dodge. Was this man thinking of taking advantage of her?

Holding her little hand, Gu Nantian tugged her closer to him. His eyes were smiling and his hands were buttoning the button on her blouse. Xu Zhiyin felt awkward. "I…I can do it myself."

Although it was only buttoning her blouse, she couldn't adapt to his gaze.

Gu Nantian asked guiltily, "Did I scare you last night?"

Xu Zhiyin raised her head and looked at this man. "So, you know."

"I'm sorry." His smile was gentle. "I don't wish to be like that. Sometimes, I can't control myself. I feel… there's a demon staying in my body and it will come out anytime…"

Xu Zhiyin looked at him, puzzled.

Luckily, the current Gu Nantian looked gentle and not dangerous. He spoke, "Only when you're around, I can rationally control myself."

"You may be under too much pressure or your loss of memory probably made you uneasy!" Xu Zhiyin consoled him.

Gu Nantian shook his head. "No, actually, I'm afraid to think of my past."

"Err…why?"

Once he could recall his past, he could return to his usual life.

Gu Nantian had completed the buttoning of her blouse. He murmured, "I'm not sure what I will become after I get my memory back. What if I become a scary person? You will leave me. I don't want that to happen."

Xu Zhiyin couldn't answer his question but she hoped he could regain his memory quickly in order for her to leave the Gu family and return to her usual life.

"I'll go and take a shower first." She placed Gu Nantian's hand aside and walked out of his room.

After cleaning herself, she saw Gu Xinyi waiting for her at her room door.

When she saw Gu Xinyi, Xu Zhiyin had a guilty conscience.

Did Gu Xinyi know she spent the night with Gu Nantian? Did she come to look for trouble?

She calmly rolled up her sleeves and walked toward Gu Xinyi. "Miss Gu, why are you here?"

Gu Xinyi looked at Xu Zhiyin. "I've come to ask you for a favor."

Looking at Gu Xinyi's response, she didn't look like she was here to look for trouble.

It seemed no one in the Gu Mansion had told Gu Xinyi about her and Gu Nantian.

Xu Zhiyin secretly let out a sigh of relief. "What can I do for you, Miss Gu?"

Gu Xinyi replied, "I'd like to invite Brother Nantian to a place both of us used to go to in the past. I hope you can help me."

Gu Xinyi was very genuine, unlike her lofty tone when they first met.

Xu Zhiyin suggested, "I think you should tell Mr. Gu yourself."

"You know Brother Nantian hates me. He won't listen to me. I heard from the servants he believes in you. Please help me bring him to the place."

"I have no problems in bringing him there, but…" Xu Zhiyin continued, "What if he chases you away when he's there?"

"No, he won't." Gu Xinyi was very confident, "That place is very important to me and Brother Nantian. Once he's there, he'll remember the past. Then, he won't hate me anymore."

"It sounds like it's a place with lots of both your memories?"

Gu Xinyi nodded, as if recalling something as a smile grew on her face, "Yes! Brother Nantian and I used to go there to play when we were young. So, can you please bring him there?"

She requested humbly and genuinely. Xu Zhiyin had no reason to decline.

Moreover, she felt by bringing Gu Nantian to a meaningful place like that would help with the recovery of his memory.

Today's weather was good. They could go out for a stroll.

When Xu Zhiyin and Gu Xinyi came down, Gu Nantian saw Gu Xinyi and he asked coldly, "Who let this woman in?"

Gu Xinyi replied, "Brother Nantian, please don't get angry. I'll leave now!"

She knew her presence was not welcomed so she dashed out of the house.

Xu Zhiyin saw Gu Xinyi's back and sighed.

Gu Nantian stared at Xu Zhiyin who was walking toward him. He was worried. "Did the crazy woman come to look for trouble?"
