I Am Undying

"Ah Master, I have something to asked you first."

Elihim stopped and looked at Rin.

"You know that before, I'm unnaturally weak but when I turned immortal, just after a few… 'incidents'… I feel my body improved too much. Just earlier, I got hit in the head by a metal but it didn't even bleed.", not that Rin was worrying about this since this is actually good news for him, he just wanted to know what's happening to his body.

Elihim stared at him for a moment before saying like it was obvious, "You think you're suffering for nothing? Think of it this way; what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and since you can't die.", Elihim smirked, "Heh! Everything that can kill a normal person makes you stronger."

"Hah? Is my workout regime will be based on that. Will I experience more deaths but at the same time, can not die?", Rin shuddered.

"What? I'm not that ruthless to my disciple~", Elihim's figure faded into the air, leaving his voice in the air.

"Ah.", Rin was left in the middle of the path alone. Strangely, only know did the strangers passing by glanced at him as if they were looking at something weird.

Rin felt their glances, "??", he stood properly even though it is quite hard to move. 'Why are these people gazing at me as if they only noticed my presence just now?'

He then started to walked awkwardly that attracted many attentions. 'Ahhh!! I want to go home now badly!', he moved his body as if there were chains all over.

"It's a good thing that there are fewer people now and I'm already near my house.", Rin sighed. He tried to make his body used to having restriction so he ran. To make a mountain look small is to climb a bigger mountain first.

Just after less than two minutes, Rin panting and was trying hard to catch his breath. It was pretty embarrassing to run with that state of his body. He made to many awkward moves but at least now, he can walk a little better than before but it was still taxing after all.

"Master, so while we were talking you did something that made us go unnoticed in the eyes of other people but when you left, you removed it from me. At least give it to me until I' home.", Rin said to himself. He knew about it since he already experienced Elihim's crowd control. It was pretty obvious since they were talking and acting dramatically while having that conversation. 'I thought that I was going to have a heart attack back then but nobody even noticed us.', Rin thought. He only realized it when Elihim was gone.

If Elihim was there and heard him, he'll say for sure, "We're having a very serious conversation, do you want other people meddling or interrupting us?"

As he was fantasizing himself controlling many arts and techniques to keep being optimistic, his pocket vibrated. Rin was a bit surprised since it's the first time that he receive a message.

Rin took out his phone and saw a message:

Helloooo!!!!♡♡♡♡ It's me, Dana!!! I just got home, same my contacts now, hurry!! Call me m after you're done with your work, okayy?!!|

Rin froze while staring at the screen, 'Wait, there's been hints from the very start but does Dana like me?!', his eyes swirled, 'I mean, I just can't relate the name 'Dana' and the word 'like' with the 'I'. There's 'I like Dana' but I can't think of 'Dana like me' until now!'

He went through his memories and noticed something, 'Oh go-! It's been pretty obvious but I'm subconsciously ignoring it.'

"What the heck? My heart has been working hard beating all day.", he held his chest. Rin wanted to bang his head on the wall right now. "What do I do? When I was still my old self, I couldn't think of liking someone else since there is no way they would like me back. Is that mentality really stuck to me that I didn't even consider Dana liking me?"

Rin looked at the message from Dana and saw those hearts again. His face turned very red. Those hearts became the catalyst for Rin's realization to the obvious.

Rin cursed at himself for late on realizing. Until now he only have fun being and talking with Dana without a hint of awareness of what was truly going on.

He felt disappointed at himself, "I watched and finished all those romance anime series for nothing…"

Right now, Rin wanted to go home and call Dana as soon as possible. Although he will not bring up the subject, he just wanted to confirm it a hundred, hundred percent sure.

'Oh wait, I have a new smartphone now.', Rin was so flustered that he forgot. Even though they've already exchanged contact numbers, it's much convenient if he just save Dana's number to his contacts from the message she sent directly.

But when he was about to do it, something struck his arm that pinned him to the ground. "Huh?", he looked at his arm with disbelief.

If he was seeing correctly, there's a golden spear with many attractive carvings on it and shiny blades asymmetrically floating beside it as if it was one and a red banner that was fluttering at the end of the spear. But that wasn't what caught Rin's attention right now. He wanted to shout from pain but he held it and gulped as he saw that the whole world became black and only have white as its outline. However, there was a person standing with its natural color still intact.
