I Am Undying

"Feel anything?", Elihim smiled.

"No, nothing.", Rin seriously didn't feel anything that it made his head itchy, when he was about to scratched it, he realized, "Ah…", his hand moved slowly.

"Master, it's very hard to move.", Rin complained as he finally reached his head.

"Rin.", Rin's master's smile faded as their eyes met, "You're mentalitly is still similar to that of a human. We Gods have no longer have the perspective of these humans as it's already a long time since we've transcended. I know that not just long ago, you have no idea what the Hidden World is in here and now, you are already carrying the burden of the Devils' devastating revenge.", Rin was hiding it but a normal person can't even withstand the pressure of being the one carrying this heavy burden, "So here's the question: Do you still want to continue your ordinary life in the day or fully immerse yourself training in the Hidden World to stop those Devils?"

Rin eyes trembled as he thought of what he would choose. Normally, immersing yourself in the Hidden World to get stronger is the right choice but Rin was still hesitating. He then looked at Elihim with all the seriousness, "Master, why are we rushing?", he asked.

He was thinking about this for a while. If Elihim said everything is srtill fine since he's there and there is even a restriction for the Devils with Energy Core so why is his master rucshing him?

"Hahaha, you see, the stronger you are the more restriction will be put on you and once you are already God, there will be a time limit for your stay here. Very inconvenient, right?", Elihim pointed out.

"And the time limit for that is?", beads of sweat formed on Rin's forehead.

"A decade! But I entered this world last… hmmm, when was it? Is it already seven years? Seven to eight, or eight years to be safe."

Anxiousness build up inside Rin, his feelings were getting heavier and heavier by the passing moment. His breathing became panting, his chest became tight, his mind was overloaded with worriness, 'Two years… in two years, those monsters will invade this world, seeking for revenge. Can I even get that strong in two years.'

"Rin… calm down or I'll slap you. You don't want a God slapping you.", Elihim's face darkened.

Even with Rin's resolve, he felt immense fear from Elihim. Rin couldn't do anything about it and just nodded his head.

"Do you think two years isn't enough for you?", Elihim asked with a heavier voice.

'How? How!?', Rin wanted to yell but he couldn't.

Rin was unable to doubt even if Elihim's words were, in fact, very unrealistic and sounded very exaggerated.

They talked as if they were the only people in that less populated path.

"Do you want to continue your happy high school life?", Elihim said unblinking.

Rin was firced to calm himself down. He breathed deeply; inhale… exhale…, befire he asked, "Master, what do you think is the best choice for me.", Rin didn't know the answer even if it looked obvious.

"Oohhh, you're asking me?", Elihim's face lightened again and his stiff face showed its usual smile again, "Well, if you're asking me, I say…", Elihim started to walked and stared at Rin for a while before continuing, "You should continue your high school life."

Rin's eyes widened, he didn't expext Elihim to answer that. He was very overbearing about this and even rushing Rin but now, he said this. "Why?"

"Why?? Because it's not like you're at fault here. In fact, you're the victim here and a human not too long ago on top of everything. I don't want to say you should sacrifice your adolesence.", Elihim lightly laughed.

Rin gulped, he should think for himself too. He's not some kind of a good hero after all. "Then… I'll continue this normal life.", Rin said with his resolve.

"Hahah, ok, if you're sure about that.", Elihim laughed, "Since you chose that, you have to wear that ring 24/7."

Rin nodded and then asked, "What even is this?", he looked at the ring.

"That's the Stone Ring. It's very simple, it will just restrict your body twice. By that, I mean, your muscles needs to exert two times of its normal strength to move normally as it should."

"Oh, so it's an additional training for me.", Rin felt excited since he just have to get accustomed to it and his body strength will increase two times.

"Yeah, you will be wearing that even if you are having an intense training.", Elihim pronounced the word "intense" heavily, "I think in just a week or so, you'll grow accustomed to it and when that time comes, I'll teach you how to control Natural Energy without relying on your 'cheat'."

Rin's eyes sparkled when he heard that. His worries vanished and it was instead replaced with determination and confidence, even excitement.

"Ah, to make you feel better, I'm friends with the other God that was temporarily residing in here so there is no way that the Devils can ever hope to tire me out since that guy will always come and aid me.", Elihim patted Rin's shoulder.
