Help! I'm In Love With A Liar

Chapter 41:Chemotherapy Sessions

"Nothing. I just thought that oncologists dealt in diamonds. I have to leave now," I said and rushed away.

"But, listen. Can we meet? Just once," he asked.

"No, it's all over. Don't make this anymore difficult for me," I fumed.

My family was waiting for me at a distance and I rushed to join them. Wang stood there weeping frantically. I narrated my family everything that had happened. I too could not control my tears. We were apprehensive of coming across him in the oncology department but luckily we were escorted to a different department, exclusively for the chemotherapy sessions.

Wang could nowhere be spotted and after a blood test, the chemo started. A red colored fluid, in a bottle was penetrated in my veins, through a needle. Dr. Kuan visited the patients at every regular interval. Every time he entered the room, I feared Wang being with him. My family was waiting for me outside the therapy room. I could see them though the massive glass windows. After good long six hours, the process ended and I could go back home.

My parents came rushing to me and hugged me tightly.

"Don't worry dear, it's all temporary. You just need to be a little patient," mom explained.

After about half an hour, I ceased crying. I hugged scooby and went off to sleep.

Every morning as I woke up, I would find some more hair on my pillow. By the time 21 days completed, I had lost most of my hair and eyebrows. I was contented, I broke up with Wang. He frequently complemented me for my looks and I was no longer the same attractive girl, he had loved.

The day of the next chemotherapy arrived. I had opted to wear scarves to cover my head now. As soon as I reached the chemotherapy room, I took off my scarf and lied down on my bed. Soon after the blood test, chemo started and I put my headphones and dozed off.
