Help! I'm In Love With A Liar

Chapter 40:That's Called Fate

The day of my first chemotherapy arrived. I was very apprehensive about this whole process. I looked rather normal by now. The lump had been removed and the scars were healing. I still had discomfort in my arm though.

I was standing in the parking lot of the hospital with my family. Just then, Amelia pointed towards something and I noticed a wine colored car parked, far away. I checked its number plate, it was Fratelli. That meant Wang was currently, in the same hospital too.

But what might he be doing here? I wondered. What if he sees me like this? But it's such a big hospital, with so many departments; there was hardly any possibility of bumping into him

As we headed towards the cancer department, I felt a tug on my right arm and I yelped in pain. I turned back to see it was Wang. I was stunned to see him.

"Is something wrong with your arm," he asked worriedly.

"Yes… I… I…. Fell down and broke my arm," I fumbled.

"Oh, then you are moving in the wrong direction the orthopedics is that way," he said, pointing in the other direction.

"What are you doing here?" I asked and scrutinized him. He looked fine to me.

"I came to meet my dad," he said.

"Nothing! Cecilia! He is not a patient here but a doctor. Have you forgotten?" he questioned me furiously.

"A doctor? I thought your father was into business and he dealt in diamonds," I asked, puzzled.

"Cecilia ! Did you hit your head too? I told you my father was an oncologist," he snapped.

Oncologist? Now I figured out. Earlier, I did not even know the meaning of the term "oncologist". I assumed it had something to do with diamonds. Now here I am referring to one myself.

Something struck my mind, suddenly. His father, a substantial man with vast business all across the country!

"What's your father's name?" I asked, almost knowing the answer now.

"Dr. Kuan Huang", he said. "Why are you asking all this?" he enquired.

I assembled every aspect of the jig-saw puzzle of my life. He was Wang Huang. His father, the owner of "Life Care" hospitals had branches all across the nation. I was referring to his father, for my treatment. That's called fate!!
