It was raining, that day.

Just like Shao Liling's mental thoughts.

'He might've had worked at that shop, but it can't be him, right?'

"It's ok, you don't have to worry about something as irrelevant as meeting your ex, ya know?"

Feng Jiun said, a lazy smile on her lips, stirring her drink with her fingers slowly, people stared at the provoking sight, interested by the beauty who looked carefree, not paying attention to other people as she kept bickering softly with Shao Liling.

She adjusted her lazy posture, straightening her bent back, and smiled charmingly, teasing Liling, trying to make it look unintentional. Feng Jiun arched her back, stretching like a lazy kitten as she knew what Shao Liling was about to say next.

"I don't really think he came back because of me, he might have came back for another reason"

"Duh, that's what I've been telling you"

Shao Liling shot Feng Jiun a small glare, trying to distract herself from her thoughts back to the tropical drink she had, stirring it slowly, sensually.

Both of them had come to the bar that their hotel sported, all of them were on summer vacation. When they had finished their lunch, while heading back, it started raining coincidentally. Shao Liqin and Liu Shan in their own rooms and Feng Jiun and Liling at the bar to drink some beverages.

"Let's go, we can go back to our rooms"

"Ok"

They stood up, paid the bill, and left the bar, slowly strolling around the place while heading to their own rooms at the same time. As they reached the elevator, it was already very crowded, people were patiently waiting for the five minutes long elevator ride to come. Feng Jiun was checking her nails, which looked a bit worn out from that drink earlier. Shao Liling minded her own business and stayed quiet.

The ding was heard as the swarm of people hurriedly entered the cramped space, getting pushed aside a little from the force, but both girls got in, and pressed for their own floor number.

Quite conversations between themselves were exchanged, not bothering anyone else around them, as they continued talking.

Suddenly, Feng Jiun froze, her poker face even stiffer now, Shao Liling noticed, and nudged her shoulder, silently asking what had happened. Feng Jiun tilted back her head a bit, as Shao Liling directed her gaze backwards. She saw a hand. A hand groping her best friend's *ss. She looked up, to see a boy, not much older than them or so, with a stupid grin on his face. He looked like he had won a jackpot, having being able to touch such a stunning girl.

Shao Liling stayed silent, knowing what she and Feng Jiun had to do. She looked towards the elevator door, and saw five or more people, as she moved forward, and stopped the elevator at the upcoming floor. People groaned in annoyance, whilst Liling ignored them, and kept her finger on the open button, waiting for someone.

"Hey, just go already, don't waste our time girl"

A man said suddenly, others nodded, as she looked at them with a dark gaze, directly towards the young, horny lad, as she pointed her index finger towards him.

"That guy, he's molesting my best friend, touching her inappropriately at the back, do you want me to call the security, and delay the ride even more?"

The people raised their eyebrows, as they looked at the back. Seeing that everyone's attention was on him, the boy retracted his outstretched hand and kept it behind his back quickly. Witnessing the scene themselves, the ladies demanded him to get out, exclaiming that they would not tolerate this kind of a behavior, and the males dragged him outside, one calling the security. They did not care about the elevator, and stopped to help the two young girls.

"How dare you accuse me!? You don't have any evidence of what I did! I merely just had my arm out to stretch, how could you allegedly accuse me of harassing someone?!"

"You don't know who my dad is, do you think you could be able to get away with this?"

The young man sneered, completely taking the security that had arrived off guard. They contemplated whether to let him go, or take him with them. The boy looked around, and loudly exclaimed with an arrogant smirk,

"My dad is the CEO of Xu Corp. Nobody dares to go against me, do you want to get arrested?"

The guards slowly backed off, knowing who Xu Meng Bin was, as they did not wanted to provoke him. Feng Jiun noticed the sudden turn of events, and said something for the first time,

"Tsk, don't you think you are superior than any of us, she's a Shao and I'm a Feng, we could bring you down faster than my Bugatti, we aren't one of those prostitutes of yours who back off when charged upon, we know the truth and that's what we're saying. The choice is yours, admit it, or face our lawyers, after all, there are cameras in the elevator"

Feng Jiun finished, surprising the people with her sudden outburst, as now, nobody knew what to do, whether to stick to the Xu's side, or with the two most influential families in the city. Of course, the people in their right mind would choose the latter. Both the girls sneered inwardly, the people here were all fake, measuring others upon their status. Shao Liling 'tsked' as she pulled Feng Jiun away from the crowd, who were ganging up upon the Xu boy.

They left the scene, and proceeded towards the staircase, as it was abandoned, no one around that place, it was advantageous for them and headed upstairs, thinking about what just happened, and shrugged it off, Shao Liling and Feng Jiun knew they shouldn't cause a commotion, and just let the others handle the situation the way they wanted. It was quite, walking hand in hand, surroundings peaceful, as their slippers clacked on the staircase.

"That was quite brave of you, standing up for your friend. She's truly lucky to have someone like you"

Shao Liling looked back, raising an eyebrow as she came in eye contact with a familiar pair of eyes.
