A Twilight Promise

After Yuuki went overseas, Ryujii started studying hard. In the examination, he scored the first in his class, which surprised everyone in his school.

Since Dr. Hiro also started to research about treating the disease himself, he went through a lot of training. When asked why he would let another doctor from afar to treat Yuuki, he admits that he is her brother, the truth was shocking that they never noticed that they actually shared the same family name.

Ami, Daisuke, Sakura, Aki, Fuyuko, Miku, Yamato and finally Haruto graduated from the hospital. They returned to school and occasionally drops in to visit Ryujii. They always brag about how they enjoy their normal everyday life. Ryujii is happy for them.

Several months later, Ryujii received a call from Yuuki. She said she is fully recovered, she wants to take the chance to travel, she is now a student at a local school. She will return after three years. Hearing the fact makes him sad and lonely that the different time zones may make them difficult to keep in touch. But he do wait for her.

They leave a message every day on Raine, they reply the messages daily, regardless of the low number of messages they exchanged daily, they do not feel lonely at all.

Three years later, spring. Results of the central examination is out. Ryujii is one of the students who are eager to know their grades. According to their career paths, they will further their studies in their preferred university.

Ryujii and Aoi met, they both did well. Aoi seeks to become a teacher, she is also working at a kindergarten school with Yamato, since Yamato likes children, it is obvious that he will be enjoying the job as well.

Yamato joins them as well. Apparently, he also sit in the examination as well. As Yamato approaches Aoi intimately, Ryujii started pointing fingers at them. They nodded.

They discussed about the others from the Drama Club, Ryujii received treatment from Dr. Hiro, he also aspired him to become a doctor specialising on the disease that they have. Yamato and Aoi are amused, they shows their support by clapping their hands excitedly.

Yuuki has been travelling around the country she went for treatment, she had a lot of fun. She also occasionally send pictures she took from places she visited. Her photography skills are very good, she told Ryujii that she wants to become a photographer like Fumi.

He showed them pictures she took, all of them features pictures of twilights. Yamato and Aoi looked at each other and laughed. "It's so like prez, she is really obsessed with the twilight." Yamato said.

Moments later, three middle schoolers entered the café Ryujii and friends are in. At the moment one of them spotted Ryujii, she waved at him excitedly, it's Miku, Aki and Fuyuko. They shared their experiences in their schools. They are now in the same class as well.

"Hey girls, which one of you are the most popular girl in the class?" Yamato asked. Aki suddenly flinched like she took emotional damage. "It was... Miku..." Fuyuko answered. That shocked everyone, they laughed.

The door opened again. It seems like the remaining of the members arrived. Daisuke with Sakura, holding hands. Alongside with Haruto and Ami. All of them just finished with their graduation ceremony.

They asked about Yuuki, Ryujii replied that she hasn't returned yet. Haruto then stood up from his seat. "Wait, we just met her at the station, she said she was heading to the café as well!" Ryujii was both surprised and excited.

"Could it be vice prez-san didn't know about it?" Sakura said in a sarcastic tone. Ryujii looked out of the window. It's already evening. "Oh, it's already this late? I guess we should move on to the next spot." Aoi said. Ryujii looked at them, it's seems like only Ryujii is clueless about today's plans.

"Can you guess where Yuuki is?" Ami asked. Ryujii thought for a while, when he opened his wallet to pay for the bill, he noticed a picture. A twilight. He rushed out after paying, the others giggled, it seems that no one can beat the bonds between them.

He rushed to the bridge, where the "Eternal Twilight" was took. By the time he arrives, a girl in her winter outfit is holding a camera, taking pictures of a couple in front of her. He slowly approached her. Tears welled up as he stepped, it flows down his cheeks.

Yuuki turned her head towards the familiar figure. "Gasp! Ryujii! Oh my gosh! What do I do now?!" She screamed in her head, her eyes are wide open staring at him. As Ryujii confirmed that she is the girl he waited for three years, he rushed and embraced her.

"Welcome back... Yuuki, I missed you so much..." Ryujii actually cried. Yuuki was frozen in embarrassment but she is indeed happy, she embraced him as well. A camera flash suddenly flashed at them. The two of them flinched and looked at the source, It's from the couple, turns out to be Fumi and Makoto.

Fumi and Makoto apparently started going out last year. However Fumi's girl fetish remains unchanged. At least she showed some interest in Makoto as a man. "Well, how about we name this "Reunion", dear?" Fumi asked while holding the camera.

"The two bracelets represents Sun and Moon, with their expressions, this picture will worth a lot of stories!" Makoto exclaimed. The two of them looked at each other's left wrist, they giggled that the fact they still wear it.

Yuuki looked at the sky, it's the sunset. She starts up her camera. "I'm actually asked to take a picture of this couple in the twilight, let's enjoy!" Yuuki explained to Ryujii. The others just arrived and saw them together.

They do understand the situation, it's twilight. They quietly walked to the bridge and enjoyed the view together. Yuuki snapped a picture, and then leans to Ryujii's arms, they holds their hands and watched the whole twilight slowly turns into the night.

Yuuki turns around and shouted. "I missed all of you!" She cried, embracing everyone. They visit the hospital and looked for Dr. Hiro. Yuuki noticed that there is a ring on his ring finger. They smirked at him. "Who is that miss betrothed~?" Yuuki playfully asked. Dr. Hiro is embarrassed.

The door opens and Kaori enters the room. "Wow, Yuuki you've grown up so much!" Kaori exclaimed as she touches her cheeks with both of her hands. "I think I know the answer, brother, it's Miss Kaori!" Yuuki points at Kaori.

Dr. Hiro nodded with a blushing face. They talked for several hours, until it's late, they also invited them to hang out again, which Yuuki reminds them "We haven't celebrated my graduation yet!" Yuuki said.

Everyone parted ways back to their home, Yuuki and Ryujii decided to stay for a while. Even though they already talked more than enough and went home separately, they still talked over the phone. It seems like they really want to make up the time they didn't spend together over the three years.

Until the late of night, they finally said their goodnights and slept soundly.

"Tomorrow is a new day, it is not the same as the days over the three years, it is the days, with Yuuki is always with me."
