A Twilight Promise

Morning, Ryujii woke up earlier as usual. He grabbed his pen to write something related to the script. He would like to try as well, writing out a script just to please Yuuki. He scratched his head and poked the paper repeatedly, all he had on his paper are just dots - He couldn't think about anything at all.

Kaori slid open the, door looking at him. "Is there something wrong?" Kaori asked with a worried look. Ryujii noticed her, shakes his head and then hides his paper away. "I thought I wanted to write something interesting, but I couldn't think of anything good." Kaori sits down near his bed. "I thought you should be suited for the job because you proposed the theme before others. I didn't know that you struggled to make it happen, I'm sorry." She said.

"I found the idea because of a boy playing a game console happened to pass by. I asked him to show me, that is how I got the idea." Ryujii responded. Kaori suddenly became serious. She told him about Yuuki secretly spit her medicine, which will put her at risk. Ryujii suddenly gets mad and rushed towards Yuuki's room.

Yuuki was awake, looking down and doing nothing, she seems depressed. Ryujii slides the door open, and entered the room. Yuuki is surprised and is ready to greet her with a bright smile, but Ryujii shouted at her, which also breaks the smile.

"Why are you not taking your medicine?!" Ryujii broke the silence throughout the corridor, startled the patients, visitors and staffs. Dr. Hiro appeared after a short while. Yuuki started crying, but Ryujii kept raising his voice and asked her the same question.

Dr. Hiro stepped in. "Both of you, stop! This is no place of you kids to make noise!" He said. "But doctor, she didn't take her medicine, wouldn't her condition worsen?" Ryujii finally voiced out his concerns. Yuuki seems to be a bit guilty of it, she hides in her blanket.

Dr. Hiro saw the sign and sighed. "You, come out with me." He said to Ryujii. Ryujii nodded, and followed Dr. Hiro out of the room. Dr. Hiro sighed. "Kaori told me that she promised to take her medicines. So please have faith in her." He said. "If she really did take her medicine, why wouldn't she just tell me that she did?" Ryujii responded.

A morning passed without Ryujii and Yuuki seen together. Even though meetings are held, they are just like the sun and the moon. When Ryujii appears, Yuuki will leave. When Ryujii leaves, she comes back.

The club members knew that something was off. And they tried to pull them back together, but to no avail. They made a conclusion, they had a quarrel. They tried anything to help them, and became exhausted.

Evening, a letter slip through Yuuki's door. She picked it up and opened it. It says: "Come up to the rooftop in the evening." A usual promise even though they are in a quarrel. She is a bit anxious.

Evening, Yuuki took the long route, to avoid meeting Ryujii before the twilight. She went to the other side of the building and climbed the stairs. But there is only one that leads to the rooftop, she had no choice but to wait for a while.

Through the windows, she can see the sunset, it's already happening. She quickly climbed the stairs to the rooftop, when she opened the door. The view is already beautiful itself, a silhouette of a familiar person adds in a mysterious charm that Yuuki find very attractive.

The sun disappears over the horizon, the lights in the city started to light up, the twilight is here. Yuuki was stunned at the back. While Ryujii was there looking at the sky. He turned back and noticed a figure that hides quickly. He was dense enough to realise it was Yuuki.

He walked towards the spot where Yuuki was hiding, and Yuuki's heart beats like crazy. When he's close enough to see her, she suddenly sprang up. They hit their heads, and both fell on the floor. "Owww... Oh it was you huh, are you okay?" Ryujii rubs his back. Yuuki is still on the ground, holding her own hands tightly.

Ryujii walked up to Yuuki. He holds out his hand to her. "I'm sorry, I should have listened to Kaori before rushing to your room..." Ryujii said. Yuuki blushed like she's having fever. She's too happy to be angry with him anymore. She quickly took his hand and pulled him to look at the twilight until it's over.

The view was mesmerising that they forgot the fact that they were holding hands the whole time. Now they are at their own rooms respectively, facing the consequences. "Ahhhhhhhh! Why did I kept holding her hands even though we are already there?!" Ryujii buried his face in his blanket. While Yuuki is putting the hand that held his hand on her face, smiling with her red face. She took her medicine and slept.

In the following day, Yuuki seemed to tease Ryujii even more, the club members also know that they made up with each other. The club's returned to normal, Yuuki received a call from Rin. She will come with Fumi tomorrow. Yuuki quickly told the club, and they can't wait for tomorrow.

"Twilight is such a magical thing we have. Even though we quarreled, the twilight helps us to be honest with each other."
