A Twilight Promise

Continued from "The Rain Goddess' Blessing".

Ryujii chased Yuuki along the hallway, it was 3 o'clock, and it started raining. Jun walked out of the hospital with his umbrella. The rain drops on the window, flowing down. Ryujii stopped and looked outside. Ryujii doesn't seem lo like rain, because it is cold and you'll get sick.

Back in the days when he was still bullied, the rain covers his tears on his way back, sometimes hoping to get sick in order to not going to school. However his mother was too busy to take care of him. His home tutor was kind enough to at least taking care of him while talking on the phone.

Ryujii told Yuuki his past as a bullied kid, and when he started training to fight off the bullies. He even got into fights after he beat up the bullies. Yuuki finally heard the part of his story, looking at him in awe. She then tells him about the story when she lost her way to the grocery, a boy came by and told him about twilights. She loved twilights since then.

Connecting the dots, Ryujii finally understood her point. The one boy that told her about twilights was him. It was him who told her that twilights happens every day but it lasts for a moment. He becomes very excited about today's twilight. Not noticing the time, it's already evening. The rain is still going on.

Ryujii then have a question. "Yuuki, what do you do when it's raining like this?" He asked her. Yuuki frowned. "I just look at the sky blankly. Hoping the clouds clear up and show me a little twilight..." She answered in an uncertain face. "She seems disappointed..." Ryujii thought.

The rain suddenly lessened. A glimmer of hope appears in both Ryujii and Yuuki's eyes, there will be a twilight today! The two looked at the time, they started dashing to the stairs. Opening the door to the rooftop, the rain stops. A cloudy sky is pierced by sunlight, as it slowly break away. The sky turns yellowish as the sun is visible, as well as the sun sinks into the horizon.

The two stands closely side by side, grinning with unknown happiness that suddenly filled their hearts. The enjoyed the twilight as always. As they parted ways back into their rooms, a floating figure opens her umbrella, rain started to fall again. She smiled innocently and then disappeared. Jun, who returned to the hospital to check on Ame, seems to understood the situation, he too, dissappears behind the door.
