A Twilight Promise

Akari, namely the city of light is the central point of all gods can gather and carry out their duties.

Hokutosei High School, a first year girl Shiroyuki Yuuki and a second year boy Kujou Ryujii is diagnosed that they were inflicted by a mysterious disease that will kill them after a period of time.

Kurosaki Junichirou, 16, also known as Jun in his past walks down the street. His partner is no human, but a demon only visible to Jun himself. "Tenrou, can you sense the abnormality that befall the boy and girl?" Jun held his pendant and whispered.

The pendant glowed and it answered him. "We've seen this demon before, it's the Rain Goddess, Ame." Tenrou responded via telepathy.

"Killing with a curse? I don't think it's her duty to kill people in Akari." Jun said. He started rushing to the hospital, following the trails left by Ame.

He entered the hospital. He checked the bulletin board. "New club, the Drama Club now recruiting!" A notice with some traces left by Ame.

Following the stairs, he slowly approached Ame's location without making contact with her trails. The trails brought him to ward 3009, Kujou Ryujii is the name written on the door.

Yuuki suddenly opened the door, Jun was frightened and fell on the floor. She let out her hand to him. Before Jun gives her his hand, he saw her hands intersects with Ame's trails. He ignored her hand and stood up by himself.

"Are you okay, mister?" Yuuki asked politely. "I-I'm fine!" Jun avoided her and ran away. "What a weird guy, you know him?" Ryujii asked Yuuki.

"No, I think he looks like someone I knew from the past, hehe..." Yuuki giggled. "Huh? Who's that bastard?" Ryujii got provoked. "Not telling! Hahaha!" Yuuki started running, Ryujii instinctively started chasing.

As she runs, the trail extends to a floating figure that watches over them. Jun returned to the scene. Looking at Ame. "She seems like she's not giving any dangerous aura, could it be she is carrying out her duty?" Tenrou said.

"Ame, what are you doing here?" Jun called Ame. Ame noticed them, she didn't utter a word, yet just a smile on her face gives them an answer they want.

The rain goddess' power is to bestow blessings on people by leading them to unfortunate events first, then followed up with fortunate ones. Just like the twilight after a heavy rain.
