A Twilight Promise

Ryujii returned to the hospital. He is greeted by Dr. Hiro.

"How did it go?" Dr. Hiro asked. "Ah, I told them that Yuuki is not coming, so we decided to take a photo of the twilight for her." Ryujii replied. Dr. Hiro glanced at the picture, he seems intrigued to the quality of the picture. "Who is the person who took this picture?" Dr. Hiro asked.

"Fumi, Makoto and also Shun, who took this picture together." Ryujii responded. Dr. Hiro seems amused. "I was a photography club member before, to think of it, I was too busy in my studies. I hardly had any time to do anything about photography." Dr. Hiro said. "So you were a ghost member then?" Ryujii asked, Dr. Hiro nods. The mood between them lightened up, they seemed like they are already friends.

"Ryujii-kun, tomorrow is your turn to be examined. You will need to stay back in tomorrow's evening. But I will still help you to manage to show Yuuki-chan the twilight on the rooftop." Dr. Hiro told Ryujii before he rushes to Yuuki's room. He nods and looks in the front, the echoes of his running footsteps eventually quieted off, leaving Dr. Hiro to lose himself in his thoughts.

Ryujii slides open Yuuki's door. He sees a nurse talking with her. The nurse noticed him and stood up. "My name is Nakamura Kaori, I'm in charge of Dr. Hiro's patients. I'll be attending to you tomorrow. I will see you tomorrow." Kaori bowed and leaves the room. Yuuki seems like sleeping. But she quickly sit up. "Waah! I thought you are sleeping!" Ryujii exclaimed.

"Of course I am, you are so noisy!" Yuuki seems frustrated. Ryujii handed over the Eternal Twilight to her. "What is this?" Yuuki asked. "The twilight we saw today. It's not fair if you can't see what we saw there right?" Ryujii responded. Yuuki blushed and took the photo, she's mesmerised by the picture, as expected by Ryujii, he couldn't help but feeling happy about this.

"Huh? What is this, Eternal Twilight?" Yuuki asked, pointing at the words written behind the picture. "Ah, we decided to give this picture a name, so there it is, Eternal Twilight, the twilight that never changes as in this picture, breathtaking as ever!" Ryujii replied, passionately.

Yuuki held the picture tightly, and hid her smile behind that picture. "Thank you very much Ryujii!" Yuuki expressed her gratitude, Ryujii smiled and gave her a pat. "You are doing great today, for staying here for today. It's my turn tomorrow. Dr. Hiro said I can still manage to bring you to the rooftop tomorrow, is that okay?" Ryujii said, feeling anxious. "It's fine Ryujii-kun, I'll be fine, if you're with me..." Yuuki bit her tongue, and came out with some flimsy excuses to brush him off.

Morning came, he is greeted by Dr. Hiro. "Seems like your first symptom has already shown up." Said Dr. Hiro. Ryujii cannot remember what happened, but the pain. He wondered if Yuuki actually had such a symptom as well, to his surprise, yes.

"Yuuki-chan collapsed in her first time before she is admitted to our hospital." Said Dr. Hiro. "According to her case, you would begin to suffer the same headache, dizziness and also a sudden lose of strength. That is why we cannot let Yuuki-chan and you to leave the hospital. I hope you understand the risks of leaving the hospital together." He added.

Ryujii nodded, Dr. Hiro leaves the room. He thought for a while and began walking to Yuuki's room. He slides open the door to notice no one is in the room. He asked around, to know that she went to the cafeteria. He then went down to the cafeteria. He saw Yuuki gathering children and girls around her age. He walked up to them.

"What are you people doing here?" Ryujii asked. His sudden appearance surprised everyone even Yuuki. "Eeeep! Stupid Ryujii! Why did you came here?" Yuuki exclaimed. The people around them held up a banner and showed him.

"Ta-da! Welcome to our Drama Club!" They said together. Ryujii is dumbfounded. "Huh? Drama club?" He asked. Yuuki cannot hide her laughter anymore. "Pfft... Hahaha... How was my acting, Ryujii-kun? Let's make our own club just like Fumi-chan's Photography Club!" Yuuki said.

"Uhh... Okay!" Ryujii responded, they had a lively breakfast together. Their worries disappeared as they befriended and talked to each other. "Now that we have a club, we need our first club activity!" Yuuki said, with food in her mouth.

"I didn't have a school club, but I do have a club before, a Drama Club. I had a lot of fun there... With you."
