You're My Only Star

Song Xing Xing stood beside Lu Xun as he began to introduce her to his friends. This group of friends was the people who had studied in the university in C Country together with him.

They were surprised upon realizing their age gap and began to admire Lu Xun for getting himself a young girlfriend after staying single for years.

Most of them were interested to know how they met and Lu Xun only explained that they met at the company as she was working for him.

The friends congratulated Lu Xun and wished for his happiness.

No one had mentioned Lu Xun's ex-girlfriend or anything about his past relationship.

Many of them were jealous of Lu Xun for having a young girlfriend while Lu Xun was jealous of them as most of his friends were already married with kids.

He also wanted to get married and have children of his own.

Lu Xun glanced at his girlfriend and tightened his grip on her hand. His eyes were looking at her lovingly.

Seeing the smile on Lu Xun's face made her smile as well. Now that there are a few more people who knew about their relationship, Lu Xun was naturally very happy.

He was already in his early thirties but this man was acting like a child.

As the waiter came to send over the food to the table, Celine finally entered the room and apologized for her tardiness. Behind her was a tall man with sharp eyes and eyebrows.

Because of her family, Song Xing Xing had met all sorts of people. However, looking at this man, she could not help but feel that the air around him was a little different.

Seeing this man, Lu Xun stood up and led his girlfriend towards him.

"You're finally here," Lu Xun said.

"Hmm... I have some matter to look at before I come over." The man smiled. He glanced at Song Xing Xing and his eyes lit up. "And this is?"

"Long Fei, this is my girlfriend, Song Xing Xing."

Song Xing Xing exchanged her greetings with the man and watched as he raised his brow at her.

"Are you from the Song family in Y City?"

Song Xing Xing looked at him in surprise. "You know my family?"

Long Fei studied her face for a while before he finally speak, "I have the chance to meet your grandfather when I was younger." He shifted his gaze to Lu Xun again and smiled.

As everyone was taking their seat around the table, Song Xing Xing leaned over to Lu Xun and asked, "Is your friend in politics as well?"

"Some of his family members are in politics and some of them are in business," Lu Xun said. "You should have heard about Blue Media Group. Long Fei is the chairman of that company."

Song Xing Xing was a little surprised upon hearing his words.

Of course, she had heard about the company.

Blue Media Group is one of the influential companies in the country. They mostly controlled the media and were powerful enough to control the public's opinion.

The company has been around the country for years and they continued to grow. Even though many media companies were rising in the country, they were still unable to beat Blue Media Group.

This was probably how Lu Xun seemed to be able to control the media each time that he was embroiled in some scandals. It turned out that he had a few powerful friends. With such good friends who were always looking after him, it was not impossible for Lu Xun to build NEXT Group from scratch, and get to where he was now in merely a few years.

Everyone started to enjoy the food and talk as it has been a while since they have seen each other. Song Xing Xing joined Li Qin Yao and the others to chat.

Fortunately, everyone was friendly and had taken good care of her. Although this was the first time that she had met most of them, Song Xing Xing did not feel awkward or left behind.

Song Xing Xing glanced at her boyfriend again while she played with Zhang Li Xue and a few other kids. Seeing that Lu Xun was chatting with Long Fei with a serious look on his face made her curious to know about their conversation.

However, she quickly remember that Long Fei's company and guessed that the two friends were discussing business.

The gathering ended after a few hours.

As many of them were married with children, they could not stay around the place for too long. Their children were tired and wanted to go home and sleep.

Song Xing Xing stood with Lu Xun as everyone was saying their goodbyes.

"How long are you going to stay in Capital City this time?" Lu Xun asked Long Fei.

"Probably for a few days. I have to return to D Town soon."

"Your grandfather is still unwell?"

"Mhm... these days he has been acting a little difficult."

"What's wrong with him?" Lu Xun grew concerned.

Long Fei flashed a smile. "He's been urging me to get married quickly and give him great-grandchild."

Lu Xun laughed upon hearing his words.

"Lu Xun, don't get cocky just because you have found yourself a girlfriend." Long Fei punched at his friend's shoulder lightly.

"You still haven't found her?" Lu Xun was aware that his friend had someone in his heart and he has been looking for her for a while.

Long Fei lowered his eyes. "Not yet."

Seeing his friend's expression, Lu Xun decided to change the subject. "Since you're staying in Yu Han's hotel, then, I will come over and find you again before you leave."

When they finally leave the hotel, it was already in the evening.

Lu Xun slid into the driver's seat and turned at his girlfriend. "Sorry, I was busy catching up with the guys that I did not look after you properly.

"Hey, that's alright. The others are very friendly. Moreover, it has been a while since you have seen everyone. There should be a lot of things that you wanted to talk about."

His smile widened. Lu Xun was just glad that his girlfriend did not blame him for leaving her as he catch up with his friends.

"I see that you and Long Fei are quite close. What did you two talk about earlier?"

"Just catching up and discussing some work matters." Lu Xun flashed her a mysterious smile before he turned to start the car.

He thought about the surprise that he had planned for her and became excited.
