In reality, Bai Xin chose to ignore them to live a peaceful life and was never bothered by the small amount she has to pay every month. Thanks to Xiu Mei's understanding nature and Rong Xiang support who found it on time and informed Bai Xin when the culprits were traced to be her half-siblings.

Xiu Mei was Bai Xin's bottom line; she was grateful to her for this new life and can't tolerate anything against her.

"Haven't you heard what she said?" Rong Xiang yelled, "You too are courting death. Just as he took out his phone the siblings glanced at each other before scurried out of their tucking their tails between legs.

Bai Xin laughed out hard holding the man's biceps. Suddenly she felt a hand around her shoulder before she could react she felt herself being lifted up in the air like a princess.

"AHH!" A yelp escaped, "Put me down, I'm heavy and you've ruptured bum"

"What do you mean by ruptured? It's still plum and soft, just some bruises. Want to check? I don't mind taking off my pajamas"….. Sooner or later you'll obviously see everything' He kept the last part of the sentence to himself.

Bai Xin's eyes widened in shock at Rong Xiang's shamelessness and she blushed, "Rong Xiang! You…. Pervert…. Go say this in front of Mr. Feng, then see what he'll do with your plum and soft bum."

"Cough…. After my mother, the one who is allowed to see my b.u.t.t will be you and no one else" He gave a teasing reply and placed her gently on the couch before adding, "Where's first aid box and hot water bottle?"

Bai Xin frowned but gave the answer anyways. Her gaze followed the man as he went to the kitchen to heat water for her, fill it in the bag, get a glass of warm water and returned with a first aid box.

Bai Xin felt something tug in her heart when the man gently placed the water bag on her lower abdomen, bringing her hand up to hold it in place. He sat down at the table facing her and looked for medicine in the first aid box.

His expression serious…

"Here! Take this medicine, it will relieve the pain" Rong Xiang smiled when she obediently take the medicine and said, "Drink warm water only it will reduce the cramps"

Bai Xin was tongue-tied, her heart raced faster and faster like a jungle drum. He not only helped her to come out of the embarrassing situation by coordinating the matter with Xiu Mei personally but wiped all the traces that could reach Bai Xin and arranged for her mother's emergency surgery, convincing Dr. Wang Shi.

It's not that Bai Xin could not do all that, if she had asked Xiu Mei for help she would be helped instantly. But she was ashamed at her half- sibling's immoral act and even thought of resigning from the job she cherished most.

Guilty stricken she looked up at the man, "T-Thank you"

He raised his brow and turned to look back to confirm if it was really directed to him or someone was standing behind. Still not sure, he pointed his finger at his nose in question and saw her nodding head.

He smiled sheepishly, 'one more step ahead…. I'm getting closer'

Bai Xin frowned when he abruptly leaned closer and pecked a kiss on her lips. Everything happened so quickly that she did not get time to react, her eyes grew big in shock.

"You're welcome Xinxin and thanks for the return gift. Don't sleep late, you need rest"

She only reacted when the man's faint voice rang as he leisurely strolled towards his room. She raised the pillow up to hit him but the sound of door shutting was heard.

With an inadvertent smile, she touched her lips, the man's soft touch still lingering….

Weeks passed by…

"Dammit! I just got the news, our factory in Africa is destroyed, too" A man with short blonde hair seemingly in his early thirties stormed inside a dark room holding a tab and with a thud sound the tablet was thrown on the table, it's screen cracked but it continued playing the video of a factory burning down to ashes.

"This is our tenth unit to be destroyed mysteriously in the last three weeks. First, our biggest base got destroyed in country B and now our other factories are targeted. If this continues any longer-"

The man with blonde hair frowned and stopped midway when he noticed that the man sitting in front of him just gave a short glance at the video playing in the tablet before bringing back his gaze to the computer.

The blonde man frowned and leaned forward to see what can be more important than their business. His brows raised in surprise, "Ooooooo…. This Feng Dingxiong is too cautious when it comes to his wife. He's been doing everything in his power to keep his kids away from her".... Suddenly the man paused to think about something, "It's been weeks you send photographs to that masked woman but looks like she's in hibernation. No action was taken"

"No, she's not" The blonde man sighed when he finally got the reaction from the man, "It's the Feng Dingxiong who is stopping her"
