We Are Destined - Let Me Pamper You

On reaching the hospital a team of doctors was trying to revive her heart which stopped the moment they brought her here. But thankfully they managed to get the pulse back on time.

Already the atmosphere of the hospital's emergency room is suffocating, and with the presence of two powerful men, it became difficult to breathe. Especially when the old man seethed at the doctors when he saw she is still unconscious.

All he wanted to do right now was to wake her up and ask about his daughters' whereabouts. He was silently praying for the wellbeing of the girl so that he can meet his daughter ASAP. If someone wants to call him selfish, then be it. Even animals became selfish when it comes to their offspring, much less Zeng Shihong is a human and a human is the most selfish animal of this planet.

But unknown to him, Lu Xion's gaze was looking at the girl with complicated eyes. Her face was swollen and bruised, therefore it was impossible to know how she looks like in real life. A tingling doubt was disturbing him since the time Zeng Shihong had told him about the pendant. What if she is the daughter of Zeng Ruo?

Thinking about the possibility, he instantly arranged the best medical facility for the girl lying unconscious in the emergency ward. She urgently needs a few surgeries to stabilize her condition, especially the wound on her c.h.e.s.t and the glass shard on her waist. Later he will think about her damaged eyes, as of now, his priority was to save her life.

After stabilizing her condition they flew her to the Zeng Shihong's private research center on the island in their private jet. A team of expert doctors was already prepared to perform emergency surgery on her.

A week later Lu Xion received a DNA report from the doctor confirming that the girl is related to Zeng Shihong. He secretly got their DNA tested to confirm his doubt before he could disclose anything to his grandpa.

During this time, grandpa did nothing but sat inside the girl's room the whole day, hoping for her to wake up and tell him about his daughter. But the girl lay there on the bed like a lifeless doll. Last time his hope almost shattered when the girl's heart seized again soon after the doctor shifted her to the VIP room after her third surgery.

When the person is happy, the days felt like minutes. However, when there is sadness, days felt like eternity…. With each passing day, this wait was becoming unbearable for the old man. His health started affecting but all he cared was to wait for the girl to open her eyes….

Daily he would talk to her, tell stories about his daughter in the hopes she will give him a reaction… But his every effort failed to wake her up. "Please, I beg you to wake up once. This old man is willing to give anything in return for his daughter's whereabouts. I want to apologize to her once… Please tell me where is she. My Ruo had been through a lot because of me. Didn't she? I'm a pathetic father… I definitely deserve a punishment, but why must I give this trial? Punish me in hell after my death, but let me meet my daughter once... please...." he bawled like a child.

Zeng Shihong felt a hand on his shoulder. "Godson, she's not waking up. She's not following my orders, how stubborn she is! Find better doctors around the world to treat her. Just make her wake up once…."

Lu Xion took a deep breath, "Your GRANDDAUGHTER is already receiving the best possible treatment grandpa…."

With swollen eyes, Zeng Shihong turned to look at Lu Xion blankly. He was unable to process the words that just come out of his mouth. "What did you just said? G-GRANDDAUGHTER?!"

He showed the DNA report to his grandpa, confirming the blood relationship between him and the girl lying on the bed.

Zeng Shihong was crying for his granddaughter, resting his head on Lu Xion's shoulder.

"Grandpa, let me tell her that you are her real grandpa, her very own family. How long will you hide the fact? I've started to hate myself whenever I saw her longing for family love. Every time she looks at a happy family, her eyes tear up thinking about her own parents" standing at the threshold of the door Xiu Mei heard Lu Xion asking for Zeng Shihong's permission.

Not long after she left Lu Xion's cabin, Xiu Mei returned back to collect her tablet on which she was writing notes for her meeting. In her excitement of seeing Mr. Zeng, she tossed it on to the couch and later forgot to carry it with her.
