We Are Destined - Let Me Pamper You

All the men gulped in fear when the air around them became deadly. The torturers wiped their sweat with their hands, looking at their boss' unbridled anger.

"Thud" Lu Xion got up from his chair, making it fall backward. He approached the victims and stood a few steps away from them. "Who is your boss?"

"I-I don't know. He orders us through e-mails. We don't know who he is. The p-payments are made through black m-market transactions"

Gritting his teeth Lu Xion looked at him as though ready to burn him alive with his eyes. "What else?"

"I-I don't know anything…. Ahhhhh" One of the torturers twisted the already broken leg of the victim, causing him to scream in pain, "P-PLEASE NO MORE TORTURE…. W-We are just pawns of that man…." The other victim got scared and muttered the courage to speak.

Lu Xion returns to his chamber built in the underworld base….

"Do these men have any criminal records?" asked Lu Xion.

"Except for criminal records, they have nothing else! From ****, extortion, blackmailing, murder, smuggling, and what not…. They are the prime suspects in more than 28 cases against them"….. 'Yet they wailed like dogs', Wu Zixin shook his head thinking how these dangerous criminals can't even withstand the first stage of torture for even 5 minutes.

"And someone dared to send them after Mei. Find out who this bastard is? Track the black market transaction using our links. I want to know what his motives are" Xion roared, making Wu Zixin tremble in his shoes.

Xion is more concerned because someone dared to spy on R-tech. Everyone knows that R-tech is a subsidiary of Phoenix Enterprises, and if someone intends to do business with R-tech they would have contacted the parent company. But sending someone dangerous to look for information of a subsidiary company, including pictures of the President is not business but scheming.

"Copy that, boss" Wu Zixin replied.

"Zixin, who spread the news in the corporate world that R-Tech is interested in setting up a manufacturing plant?" Xion settled down on the couch after tossing his gun on the table roughly, his anger has not subsided yet.

But all of a sudden Kong Wei is interested in Phoenix Enterprises and R- tech, someone tried to spy in their companies, and Xiu Mei deliberately spread the news of expansion plan. Is it some kind of trap set up by her or to be precise, is this trap for Kong Wei?

Knowing her personality, since R-tech's incorporation she had never let any news to leak out from the company. Now all of a sudden she deliberately disclosed her biggest expansion plan! Just what is she thinking?

"I want the detailed history of Kong Wei. Hold on! Not only Kong Wei but the entire Kong family. Remember, every minute thing should be included…." Lu Xion was doubtful about this entire chaos. It's as if he is able to connect the dots roughly but cannot pinpoint it exactly. His intuition was saying that all this is not a coincidence but a well-planned trap to lurk someone inside it.

But he was unable to understand… If Xiu Mei was somehow involved in the plan, then what is her motive? How is she related to all of this?

Lu Xion took out his phone to call her, but looking at the time he sighed, it was 2:21 in the night. He dropped the idea and decided to call her in the morning.

Xiu Mei wakes up by the ringing sound of her phone. Stretching her hand, she tried to get her phone from the table stand but Feng Jianyu was holding her firmly in his arms.

Gently she tried to come out of his embrace, careful not to disturb him but the moment she did, he woke up. "Mmm…. Let it ring! You sleep with me" He turned over hugging her like a teddy bear.

"No… That's X calling. I've set this ringtone specifically for his number. Let me talk to him" She wriggles in his arms, trying to get her hands out from his embrace. "Hold On! I'll give you" Taking the advantage of his long arms, he easily reached for the phone and gave it to her before returning back to sleep. Once again he hugged her soft body and inhaled her unique fragrance that has soothing effects on him.
