The answer came pretty quickly from the radio. "Alright, you can slowly start driving."

This time however, their seats arrangement was changed. Lin Qiao was slowly getting stabilized, but it wasn't good to let her drive.

Zhao Yun was still the driver for the 2nd truck. Lin Qiao was in the car together with him, Sister Ren and Hu Wei.

Su Chang got to be the driver for the other car. While he doesn't have much experience, he did have an occasion to drive one a few times before. His speed was slow, but they were moving at the very least. Siting in the car with him were the members of the Chu Family, together with Mu Ruqin, that by the way counter herself as part of the family as well. Sister-in-law is family, right?

After driving for a while, they started looking around for some names that they could recognize. They didn't really have the time to go in the buildings, one by one, and search them for resources.

"Oh! ChongMei Noodles!" Su Chang loudly shouted inside the car, stirring up the napping Chu Lili.

Chu Lili was a kid after all. Since they woke up early in the morning, sitting for hours inside a car made her sleepy and a little tired. Just when Chu Lixue got her daughter to sleep for a while, Chubby decided to wake her up with his loud voice.

"For goddess sake, why do you shout!?" Mu Ruqin exploded. For her, Chu Lili was basically her niece. Obviously she could tell that the child was tired, and now Su Chang had to wake her up...

"Isn't it because of ChongMei Noodles? That's like the best company that used to sell instant noodle dishes before the Apocalypse! Of course, I should be excited..." Su Chang proudly said, but seeing the darkening face of Mu Ruqin he loudly swallowed, and then added, "Alright, I'm sorry. It was my fault."

Seeing that Mu Ruqin stopped looking at him and turned her gaze to Lili, Su Chang breathed out with relief. That big sister over there truly could get scary. But it's not his fault, after all he's a foodie that loves all kind of food. Before the Apocalypse, he would often buy their products since they were pretty cheap and even a poor student like him could afford it.

"Let's move towards the warehouse on the left, the one with walls painted red." He said on the radio and moved towards the building.

This time they only packed a little less than half of their truck with the food they found. Even through food was valuable, and they could sell it if they didn't want to eat it, they still needed some place for metal and other materials.

Perhaps the happiest person out of them right now, aside from fatty Chang. would be Chu Lili. Instant noodles, even if packed into big boxes, were still pretty light. This time Chu Lixue's daughter could straighten up her legs for a little longer and help the rest move the food. Her speed and the quantity she moved each time was small, but she was still excited.

Since it was slowly getting later into the day, and soon the sun would cease to produce light for them, they decided to move towards the base. On their way towards the base, before leaving the industrial zone, they managed to finally find some materials they needed. The amount wasn't super big, and they could probably still fill some more things inside their truck, but at the very least they've got something.

With the metal they've got, Hu Wei made some adjustments to their trucks right away. The truck's frame was strengthened, and somehow their cars now looked like mini tanks moving on the road. At the very least, if they chanced upon a Tier 1 zombie right now, their cars should be able to survive their encounter.

The rest of the material that they packed up and took with them would be used to strengthen their homes. While the area where they lived was pretty safe, some people were still greedy. If they knew that they weren't inside their houses, if someone saw their solar energy panels from outside, it wouldn't be surprising if they tried to break in and loot their house.

Now, with what they've gathered, at the very least they could thicken their front doors and make sure they wouldn't be opened by a first random person. As long as the person trying to break inside wasn't a metal ability user as well, it would probably be hard to get inside.

As for now, Chu Lixue actually was a little afraid of someone breaking inside her house. Not only did she have solar panels inside, but all her plants were growing inside as well. That was the reason why she left Lucky alone there. If someone tried to break in, perhaps they would get scared of the dogs barking. And if not, Lucky overall was still a trained police dog. As long as his enemy didn't have a gun and wasn't an ability user, he should manage to protect his home.

When evening was coming the group slowly made their way towards the bases entrance. However, it seems they forgot that they needed to wait outside before going inside the base. The only good point was the fact that nobody had any injuries, so they only had to wait for 12 hours, instead of the whole 24 hours period.
