Inside a clean and simply looking office room, that aside from a desk and some bookshelves, only had an additional table, sat a mature looking man. He had peach blossom eyes. Coupled with those dark pupils, his gaze could make you hopelessly lost inside his eyes, but at the same time they looked cold.

He wore a nicely fitted tailored grey suit, with a similar colored tie adorned with a jeweled tie clip on one side, and subtly adding to the air of dominance his nearly 1.9 meters height provided. Windows on the side of the room allowed streaks of sunlight to shine in from outside, and land on the man's back. A few stray strands of hair fell to cover his broad forehead. His alluring facial features had charm that seemed infinitely deep, infinitely aloof.

If someone didn't know better, they could even think that perhaps it was an image from a movie. After all, it was truly a view that was unlikely to be replicated by another person during the Apocalypse.

The man seemed to be bothered by something, looking down on his desk and reading a document lying in front of him, from time to time marking some parts of it down.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Come in.", he coldly said.

Another man strolled inside the room before closing the doors behind him. The man was 1.8 meters tall and had long legs. His face couldn't be seen clearly, obscured by a pair of black sunglasses, but his nose was tall and his face was very rigid. Slight stubble gave him a rougher look.

He wore a tight, black waistcoat on his upper body, which outlined tight muscle lines and matched the color of his skin. He looked like a strong man with a decent face, but the look in his eyes betrayed his current calm facial expression. Ripples of excitement were slowly fading through his face, yet he didn't dare to speak without permission.

After a few more minutes, when the man finished looking through his documents, he looked up and said, "What happened?"

"Master, we've found her! It seems like Apocalypse didn't manage to get her killed.", said the other man, clearly beaming with happiness.

"Oh? Where is she? Still in B City? Send someone to get her over here."

"No, no. That's why it took us such a long time to find her, she's not in B City."

"Then where is she? Can't you just say it all at once?!", growled the man.

"Yes, master! Our men saw her inside A City. It seems she's been here for some time, with the lack of communication during Apocalypse, it truly took us long to find her."

"Is she on her way here, now?", asked the man. Even through his face was still cold, a glimmer of happiness and excitement could be seen on his face.

With a face looking unwilling, the shorter man continued to talk. "Unfortunately, not. She's been seen together with another woman similar to her age and a little girl. It seems like they live together inside one of military district's residential blocks. We currently don't know what's the relationship between them."

"Alright, let her be for now. Since she's living inside the base, at the very least she shouldn't be in danger for now. After our situation calms down a bit, you can send some of our men to contact her."

"Yes, master! Uhm, should we also investigate the other two that are currently living with her?"

The man thought for some time, and then added. "Leave them be for now. She should be able to choose her own companions, at the very least they shouldn't be a danger to her. We've got more important things to do for now."

He stood up, walked to the window in his office and looked up to the sky, silently thinking. It has already been some months since they last saw each other. He began to miss her from time to time, but his position wasn't secure enough yet. At least she could have a safe live for now...

Chu Lixue and her daughter weren't aware of the conversation that took place inside the military district's central building, in which only high military officers and government staff resided.

She was currently on her way back from work, holding her sleeping daughter in her arms. Today's work was pretty tiring for both of them. A group of survivors with an ability user wanted to try hunting zombies, but ended up going way over their heads. In the end, when they were escaping, they turned to the army that was responsible for protecting the new Central district, in hopes of getting help.

While the soldiers already aren't what they used to be, they still believed in their responsibilities. Even if they didn't want to help them, with their car moving towards them and a little horde of zombies behind it, they didn't really have a choice.

Unfortunately, the new wall wasn't constructed yet. It took a lot of effort to clean up the zombies, and the number of them was a little too big for their group. Before getting help from another unit, the earth group had to help fighting the zombies. Even Chu Lili once or twice used her water ability to help nearby people, to which zombies were closing up.

While nobody lost their life, it truly took a big amount of their energy away. Because of that, work ended 4 hours sooner than expected, since none of them could continue doing their work even if they wanted.
