Luo Hanting stared at his young master with disbelief. This young master of his must be joking. What did he mean by a few pieces of silk and some accessories?

Those boxes and chests were filled with way too many silks and accessories for it to be considered a few pieces. Was his young master trying to show off?

But these seemed way too overboard as mere gifts for a pregnant woman. In truth, they were like dowries but Luo Hanting dare not say that.

The Grand Tutor's mansion did not lack money so these boxes barely made a dent on the Luo family's wealth. But it still seemed excessive which made Luo Hanting more worried for his young master.

Luo Hanting also agreed. "Young master, it's true. Miss Lin is already married and pregnant. Her husband might think badly of you and Miss Lin if you show so much courtesy." He kindly reminded to his young master.

"Yan'er is married.." Luo Qi's smile disappeared and his face became expressionless as if all the joy and happiness was sucked away from him in one go.

Jae Ha was not about to correct their assumptions. Her lady was soon going to marry His Highness Prince Jing so there was no reason to correct any misunderstanding when there was none.

This would also deter these outsiders from trying to snatch the lady away. Were they blind? How can this young master be infatuated with a pregnant woman? Did he want to wear a green hat? Was he sick?

"My lady is not married! Don't make any wrong assumptions. You are slandering her!" Chun Lan firmly defended. She felt offended that this people were jumping into conclusions so soon. Can they not see that the lady's hair was not tied up and it was down?

Chun Lan had no idea of the huge impact of her words to the people in the room. Jae Ha was inwardly facepalming at how embarrassing she was. How could she carelessly reveal such an important matter?

A pregnant and unmarried woman would be deemed a harlot by many people and considered a wild girl for losing her purity outside marriage. To add fuel to the fire, not only did she lose her virginity, she also got pregnant.

People would think badly of women like this so Jae Ha couldn't help but throw a glare at Chun Lan for her loud mouth.

She made the young lady look bad by saying this!

Luo Hanting was surprised himself. This beautiful young maiden was not married? How could that be? Her stomach looks to be around three or four months already.

Luo Qi trusted his intuition a lot and it was telling him that there was more to the story than what meets the eye.

On the other hand, Zhao Yan did not register lot of what was happening anymore. She was wondering how Luo Qi knew that she was the fourth miss.

The first could be considered a slip of the tongue or mistake but repeatedly calling her name out was not.
