Reincarnation of the Cheater

"Do you wish to start the trial?" A monotone voice said in my head.

As the voice echos in my head, the Scarlet orb in the bag from the elves starts to shine brighter as if reacting to something. As the light gets even brighter the system gives me a new notification.

[Would you like to increase the difficulty of the trial? Increasing the difficulty will also increase the rewards gained.]

After looking at the varying difficulties and trying to decide what would be the best course of action I decided that 5 times the rewards sounded very enticing, and since I had to clear the 5th trial to get the reward "Full Restore" on normal mode then on impossible mode I can get it after the 1st trial and keep the rest of the rewards to myself as a bonus.

[The first trial has started]

As the system's voice echos in my head the surroundings start to change slowly from the barren cave into a fighting platform. Hundreds of people are surrounding the fighting platform as the one on top of it staring at me with a smirk on his face. The crowd all staring at me in disbelief.

Seeing my expression he speaks, "What? Don't tell me that you're too scared to accept my challenge now that you've seen the scope of my power. When I told you that I am taking that top disciple spot by the end of the day what did you do? You laughed at me and told me not to throw my life away, now that I'm challenging you in public you don't dare to be so arrogant!" he says

"What are you talking about?" I say as my mind shook, foreign memories invaded my brain causing my head to hurt as numerous memories play in my head as if I was watching a movie of someone's life in the third person.

'Why can't I remember what he's describing. How could I act like that? The last thing I remember was that he showed up to my house wanting to challenge me but I don't remember acting anything like he's describing.

As I'm beginning to grasp the situation and get ahold of myself something else in my body reacts to the statement that he had made.

"I never fought you for a reason, it seems that I'll need to put you in your place then." As I'm trying to make out something in this situation a voice so familiar yet so very different comes from my mouth.

As something takes control of my body and speaks it also jumps up onto the stage and an unfamiliar aura rose from my body.

"Oh my God! He's already broke through to the peak of the Body Tempering Stage! How could this be? He was stuck there for years without advancing! Did lady luck finally decide that he was worthy?" Someone in the crowd yells as everyone else is just as surprised as him.

'How could they not be surprised, I was stuck at the Late stage of the Body Tempering Stage for so long, after 1 year of pushing my limits I found out that I was doing it wrong. I was tempering my body instead of my actual cultivation. If not for that mysterious senior pointing out that I was going at it wrong I probably wouldn't have advanced in my lifetime.' What feels like another person's thought runs through my mind as I hear their excited cries.

As my body releases an unfamiliar aura my body strengthens and I could feel my physical stats increase.

As his offer is said the entire world stops as all the sound from the crowd disappears and the offer is shown in front of me with two varying options.

'Well obviously I'm going to choose the first option, how else can I get the "Full Restore", the elves said you can only get it in the first trial.' As I choose the first option the world starts up again and the voices from the crowd go back to whispering.

"I'll bet, I currently have 3500 Contribution Points." I say after looking through the memories searching for the exact amount.

"Since there is a duel going on shouldn't we have 3 judges according to the clan's rules? Why don't you let these two old men take the other spots." A voice from the sky says as two clan elders slowly descend from the sky.
