Reincarnation of the Cheater

"I heard you guys have a reservation at The Melting Pot." he says.

"Fucking elephant ears." I say under my breath cursing his big ass ears.

"I heard that." he says looking at me disappointed.

"Good for you." I respond not caring about his feeling.

"Anyways, I need you to cancel that reservation." he says looking over all of us.

"No way, we waited months to get the reservation and we only got it due to Silvia being a B-ranked adventurer. I'm not letting a noble stop us from having a fun time." Elaine says.

The guild master looks at all of us who are all showing discontent and sighs.

"Fine. If anything happens because of you then you have to solve your own problems. Don't come crying to me about being executed by a noble." he says looking at us as everyone cheers. He looks towards me and speaks.

"The Melting Pot has a dress code, do you need to borrow clothes Bell?" he says knowing my situation.

"I don't know. I'll come by later if I need to borrow clothes." I answer trying to hurry up and leave. I can just ask the system if I need any fancy clothes.

We all head our separate ways and decide to meet back here at 7 PM. Since its only 4, I decide to head back to my room and check out my status and any special cards I have as well.

'... I forgot about the upgrade card. System, use the upgrade card on... Maybe I should save it? I don't really need anything else and the Skill Steal seems hopeless at this point. I probably have a better chance of just pulling for a skill steal without limits than to continue using upgrade cards without any guarantee.'

Upon having the card activate a wheel materializes above my head, pictures of weapons rotate in the wheel before eventually landing on twin curved daggers fall on the arrow. After selecting the weapon type a second wheel showed up showing all rarities from N to SSR.

'This is where my 100 Luck will show its worth.' I say as the wheel above me rolls at a high speed.

As it spins rapidly I can barely see SSR pass by twice and as it slows the arrow falls on SR.

"Fuck me, man. What is Luck 100 when the system still fucks me over. System Display the weapon status." I say venting my frustration.

Item: Shadow Daggers(Sealed)

Description: Daggers used by a Man known as "The Shadowless Reaper". He would kill his targets without fail. There are eyewitness accounts of him having no shadow but when they tried to remember what he looked like their memory was blurry.

'I don't really understand the shadows part.'

'Oh okay, that makes sense then. Oh yeah, what happened to the Avarice guy?'

[He is still in the city, your mission is still active so you might want to complete it.]

"Oh fuck my mission." I say getting up and heading out the door.

'System do you know where he is?'

[No the system doesn't have that type of function yet. I recommend you ask the Guard Captain.]

'Alright then let's head to the gate.'

Walking out of the Inn I bumped into someone and he fell down. Looking closer it is the guard who took Juan the Avarice guy earlier. Putting my hand out to help him up I ask him, "You alright?"

"Yeah, I'm trained so it doesn't hurt, but if newbie adventurers have this type of strength maybe I should change carriers then." he jokes as he grabs my hand and gets up.

"Perfect timing I need to find those troublemakers from earlier." I decided to ask him instead of the guard captain since he escorted them around town he should know where they are.

"Do you have business with them?" he asks curiously.

"I find them very suspicious so I wanted to check up on them." I answer.

Upon hearing my concerns he becomes serious and then talks in a low voice.

"Follow Me." he says as he leads me out of the Inn and towards the gate.

As I follow him out the gate he leads me into the forest and whispers.

'System is there any way to get through the barrier without them noticing?'

[Yes, the system will offer to take the barrier down and then put it back up once you go in for 100 system points.]

'How many system points do I have?'

[Currently, you have 300 system points.]

'Alright go ahead.'

[Processing... Done]

As the system gave the notification that it was done the barrier flickered on and off.

'I guess I can just use time stop.'

"Equip Shadow Daggers"

[The weapon you have equipped has special properties. Stealth has gained an additional level Stealth(Lv.2) ---> Stealth(Lv.3). The Skill Shadow Steps(Lv.1) is available while you have this equipped. These benefits will disappear when you unequip the Shadow Daggers.]

As the world around me stops and before the gate guard can even notice I walk through the barrier with the curved daggers emitting black smoke as I activate stealth and time resumes.
