The guilt is weighing her heart down, the more she looks at her main maid, who is also her close friend.

Shirley was alone, she didn't have family. She had but, they lived very very far away. She had no one in the capital. She never took a personal leave always stayed by her side. Always worrying about Aeinshia.

Aeinshia felt awful, that she left Shirley like that. She didn't even show a little gratitude towards her sister like maid. After all Shirley's sacrifices for her.

Shirley, even sacrificed her life. Trying to save her from the gruesome incident in her previous life trying to protect her. How can a person be this selfless. All she ever thought was of Aeinshia. Probably her real sister too won't takecare of her like how Shirley takes care.

(Aeinshia, she is a wolf in sheep's clothes, don't trust her) ~ Author

....

A bit of clarity for the readers:

Aeinshia is right. Shirley is a good person, but that was a story in the past. However, when the time was rewinded, some roles were switched in the present because of few changes in the events of present compared to the past.

All her actions done, were never meant to harm Aeinshia. She was never supposed to harm Aeinshia. She is just spy for the antagonist. Shirley is their information source to know about the royals and their steps.

All the incidents and the situations Aeinshia has to face will remain same in the past and present. Just personalities and decisions change in two timelines. And, the little changes taken by other characters in the current timeline, will have an according effect on the protagonist's life.Afterall, she has to deal with difficulties to grow from a weak and timid girl to strong and brave girl. Just by avoiding the real-time situations doesn't get that result.

Aeinshia, only remembers what incidents happened to her in past life. She doesn't have any idea what is going to happen in current time. She has to guide her way only with her memory and deciphering the current situations. Well, that's how a person becomes strong by facing.

... ... .

Aeinshia smiled, "I left you alone, right?" She suddenly, asked Shirley out of nowhere. Shirley was taken aback, with her sentence. "P-princess, you are a princess, you have your responsibilities. You are busy." Shirley said.

Aeinshia knew she was making her favorite maid uncomfortable. So, she decided to change the topic.

"I'm going to City Sylter, two days later. For my mother's anniversary." Aeinshia spoke, her smile faltering towards the end. She didn't realize what she was speaking, until she spoke up.

No! Stupid Aeinshia! What are your thinking. Aeinshai cursed herself in her head. But, when actual realization hit her, she felt like baging her head on the wall.

How can she forget?

Shirley always came with her to City Sylter.

No, I can't let this. I cant loose her. Not this time. I should stop her. I cannot let her accompany her.

Now, she has to somehow avoid Shirley coming with her.

Yes, she knew this time, nothing would happen to her. But, she was reminded that anything can happen at anytime and she needed to be prepared to face anything.

Even though, Evan and Feliz would be joining her for the journey, their first priority will be her and she won't be much concerned about others. She can't risk Shirley's life, by letting her come with her. Even though, they would be safe. She didn't want to risk her slight chances.

Whatever happens, she wouldn't let Shirley come with her to City Sylter.

....

Shirley's eyes lit up when she heard what the princess just said.

At last it came. My time.

Shirley loves going to travel with Aeinshia. Well, it has nothing to do with the princess but, its for her own sake. She needs a break too.

From all the responsibilities and serving the royals and constant plotting to convey the information and all. Just three days with nature and with her own thoughts to recharge herself.

Through hr hate towards the royals, this was the time she loved them. They gave privileges to the maids too, while traveling. And, of course, she likes to take advantage of them.

She was ready to give a very excited answer but, then she realized what was the purpose for going. It was Aeinshia's mother's anniversary. Death day for the Emperor's sister. A gloomy day for the royals. And a happy day for Shirley.

She controlled her expression and tried to level her emotions. She faced Aeinshia and saw the troubled expression on her face. Now, what is running through your thick head, you cry baby. I swear this girl has complaints for everything.

"My princess, are you alright?" Shirley made her tone low and made sure to add that extra dose of worry and concern to her voice. Aeinshia gazed at her, tears burning at the end of her eyes.

No, I can't loose Shirley. Aeinshia only had this thing running through her head. She can't let an innocent life to be sacrificed becaise of her. She is a general's daughter and defended from a royal bloodline. Its a responsibility of her to protect the innocent.

When Aeinshia didnt say anything, Shirley assumed that she was being emotional on the topic. It was always like this. Aeinshia would always get emotional, even though, she didn't even spend a second with her mother.

She just heard about her and saw her. And, by what she heard and saw, she knew her mother was strong, independent, caring and strong headed woman.

She had strong vision and created a mission for the betterment of her kingdom.

She was onw powerful woman, with a powerful thoughts and she has always been a great inspiration to Aeinshia. Even without seeing, she always admired what her mother left for her in the palace and in the kingdom. The temple in the City Sylter was one of them. The garden planted around the temple was by her mother. The place was simply a favorite place for Beatrice.

So, every year on the death day and her birthday,Aeinshia would prefer to go to the temple and try to be near to her mother as long as possible. That place has become a comfort for her since, she knew about it from her uncle and went to visit with Alexander, when she was eight years old.

But, the place that was so special to her, became the place, where her life took a turn that she would never ever have thought. Since, that day in the past, she didn't ever go to that place. More like like she didn't have the courage to face the world again after that.

....

Aeinshia shook her head, trying to get rid of all the negative thoughts that were rushing through her head. No, she cant afford to get these thoughts to occupy her head right now. Now, her only concern was to stop Shirley from coming with her.

As if on cue, Shirley spoke up. "Oh, i forgot about it, princess. Like every year, we would be goiing to the Ccity Sylter for paying respect to the late Princess Beatrice. I should probably start the preparation for your journey. I'll be in tha-----"

"You are not going anywhere, Shirley." Aeinshia cut off Shirley's words before she can move any forward with her assumptions. Aeinshia's tone was so cold and indifferent, that Shirley was taken aback for a while. She was totally dumbfounded with this kind of behaviour from the princess.

How and when did she change this much. I don't remember her bring like this. She changed for sure. But, what in the world has caused this sudden change. Something serious is going on, lately. I have to get to know about this as soon as possible.

Shirley wasn't expecting this. The change was now, showing and was impossible to avoid. Its been only a week or two. This has to be a joke. How can a person's personality drastically? That too overnight?

Never has ever, Aeinshia has spoken in that tone or raised her voice at her. Before, the situation became any worse or when she felt like the princess was getting agitated, she would divert or panic or act worried.

That always worked and she would go back to her normal self. But now, the scenario has totally flipped. Her small words started to be of more concern and were being pointed out.

This fueled Shirley's anger more and she was seeing this as a challenge now. Shirley never gets down or backs off from a challenge. She always wins, no matter. Whether fairly or by any other means. No one dominates or shows their power over her, except her master.
