Reborn princess: I will change my ill-fate

65 Chapter 65. Insult or Compliment?

Shirley is simply staring at Aeinshia. All the words of her master, ringing through her head, like a broken recorder. Rage was running through her veins.

Only she knows how humiliated she felt. Her master, who expected and entrusted this duty also got disappointed for her uselessness. Only because of this stupid girl, who decided to change out of nowhere.

Aeinshia used to trust me a lot? What's wrong now? Suddenly, a lot of change? I had to disappoint my master, all because of this useless damsel. I'll make sure, you suffer well, my princess. You sure take good care of me by making me work alot. I will sure remember to give you taste of the result of my hard work dear~~

Shirley's thoughts were all filled with malice for Aeinshia. The legends said, we keep loved ones and friends close, but we keep our enemies even close.

Shirley clenched her hands into tight fists, her knuckles turning into white color. Her jaw locked and eyes boring deeply into Aeinshia's head, who was minding her business on her desk.

Aeinshia: Ah!! Why do I feel chills on my back? Should I close the window? But the air is filled with warmth from the bright sun, then why Am I feeling cold?

However, somewhere in her vengeful and vindictive heart, after working for this long with the Rutz siblings, Shirley had a soft spot for the naïve Aeinshia, somewhere in her deepest part of her heart. But, after this incident, all that vanished. Aeinshia is on guard in her presence and now she even changed her attitude towards Shirley. To be precise, not only Aeinshia had doubts on her, but on every employee and to every measly servant working in the manor and palace.

Nobody was greater in this world than her master to her. Well, her master was truly greater and deserves all respect Shirley had for her measures and for her unique way of working with things. Shirley sure had learnt alot from her, but she is nothing compared to her master. She still had a long way to go ahead because of her choosen path.

Shirley couldn't believe, how can she have a soft heart for the princess of Seazle. The apple of everyone's eyes. The thorn for her master's eyes.

Shirley was simply, disgusted by her own thoughts, when she realized, she was about to betray her own master. Who, took her under the wing and provided everything for her.

No, she wasn't going to distract from her goal, her target set by her master. She was going to show her master, that their trust was not placed in to a wrong person. After all, she can't face the consequences of messing up things.

"Shirley, are you okay?" Aeinshia's soft voice, cut through the tense thoughts Shirley was having. Shirley snapped out of it and smiled brightly at Aeinshia.

This is my chance. Get your thoughts together, Shirley. Its time to actually test your skills.

"Nothing, my princess. You looked so worried. I don't feel good when my favorite person is looking so down." Shirley internally gagged at her own words. Acting, sure is hard. No matter, how many times I do, I'll never get used to this. Afterall, being our true self is the only painless thing one can do. Shirley, maintained her smile, throughout all her thoughts.

Aeinshia giggled lightly and motioned Shirley to sit beside her. "You are a worrier, Shirley. I'm not worried. I just...." Aeinshia trailed off, while looking behind Shirley.

Come on! Spit the secrets out, already.

Shirley, mentally urged and hoped, somehow, Aeinshia would spill the beans.

"I just have a lot on my mind, lately." Aeinshia continued and Shirley smiled, sympathetically through all the cursing she was directing towards Aeinshia.

"My princess, its always good to release your thoughts. Its not healthy to cope with everything, by ourselves. Don't become a prisoner of your own thoughts. Be the painter and express them or at least, share them. There are a lot of people here, to support you. Remember, everyone loves you and they would understand you. You sure know if you keep everything to yourself will make you fat at the end right?" Shirley spoke, while scooting close to Aeinshia.

Aeinshia pouted when she heard she would become fat because of her unnecessary worries, '' What do you mean by fat. I always maintained a healthy body. "

She then turned her back to Shirley showing her displeasement.

" Hahhah, oh my! I am merely joking and look at you. Getting serious. Of course you not fat and to the the point that you are as thin like a wodden stick. " Shirley replied amidst her chuckles.

Hahaha~

( Are you sure you are complimenting her Shirley) ~ Author.

Aeinshia turned her head dumbfounded. She didn't know whether it was a compliment or a critism. Ah first she simply glanced at Shirley trying to figure out what she meant by her words. But, after looking at Shirley for some time she didn't understand whether she truly criticized her or not.

Ok, let's ask straightly. " Do you know your words can be interpreted as an insult Shirley? "

Her giggles instantly forze for the second, acting nervously, " My princess, never in my life even in my dreams I won't dream to ridicule you. I am really sorry if that's how my words mean. I really didn't mean to offend you my princess. " Her eyes immediately held up the tears she was hiding behind those eyes.

That was a big shock to Aeinshia. She didn't really expect Shirley would well up with eyes filled with tears, " It's ok. Let's just slide it for today. I hope you won't repeat this mistake next time and mind you words. This is all for your own good Shirley, " Aeinshia spoke as nice as she could afraid to cause trouble as she reprimanded Shirley. Afterall, it's the festival day and she doesn't want any trivial matter to bitter up her mood. She still need to enjoy with her family and spend some quality time with them. If her mood was sour, then how was she supposed to deal with them and enjoy every moment.

What's this. Normally she would laugh along with me or would have simply joked not understanding the meaning behind my words. But, what is it now. When did she become this intelligent. If it was before, she would never reprimand me and try to speak  politely. But, these days she was ordering around and behaving like a true lady of high society. Is it me or did she really change for her own goodness. How come things turn out this way?

Keeping her thoughts aside, '' I understand. Sorry miss. I will choose my words carefully next time. I am really sorry. " And Aeinshia simply nodded in acknowledgment.

But, whatever were the intentions of Shirley. She was so natural with words. She always had the best of advices. But, well, people can take advices differently. Some keep it personal and some tended to share their everything to their advisers.

And, unfortunately, Princess Aeinshia was manipulated to be the second kind. Words are very powerful than anything in this world.

Aeinshia, smiled at Shirley. She knew exactly what to say at right time. Always trying to ease her pain. She was like a sister, she never knew, she wanted. And was glad to get her.

(Oh,, Aeinshia darling. You gotta check all sides of the coin) ~ Author

Aeinshia looked up to Shirley as an older sister. Sure, she had a very loving and caring brother, but there are things that she can't speak to Felix and things she felt uncomfortable to speak with others. At that times, she looked up to Shirley a lot. She was her head maid at home.

Even though, she had ladies-in-waiting to take care of her, during her stay in the Palace, she still preferred to bring Shirley with her. Shirley was given a special privilege to come into the Palace with her, whenever necessary.

Aeinshia believed Shirley always wanted good for her, the reason she always shared her every feeling and worry with her. Suddenly, Aeinshia's heart was tripping with guilt.

These past days, she was caught up in her own thoughts, trying to figure out a way to escape and change her ill-fate. The Marques case and her closeness with her family and Evan, all made her a bit distant to Shirley.

Truthfully speaking, even though she ain't getting enough time to spend with Shirley, she is happy to get close to her family. Things are turning to a better side. Evan started to open up to her. Her father began to give the affection she always longed for. These are something which she thought were impossible. However, in the end, that impossible became possible and she enjoyed every moment she spent with them. So even though she tripped with guilt for not spending time, she know she can get much time in the future. However, that reason won't be enough to suffice the guilt built in her heart for Shirley.
