Reborn princess: I will change my ill-fate

Aeinshia just stood in her place and watched the whole fighting scene, as if she is enjoying a duel contest.

She knew, Peter isn't just an aide to Evan. Infact, being an aide is just a pretext, and protecting Evan is his main priority, who is appointed as Evan's bodyguard. So being a bodyguard, his skills could never be underestimated, however, she never did even expect him to be this powerful and skillful. He managed to take down nearly 20 men with a single dagger and the single handedly fought with their leader. Every thing felt surreal to her.

While Aeinshia was debate whether what her eyes witnessed is true or not, Peter knocked Nathan onto the ground and sat over him.

Smirking, he continued, " I guess you will be interested to listen what's my deal now right? "

Nathan took a deep breath, feeling it hard to pump in air, as one of Peters attack gave a huge blow to his rib cage before.

He struggled to breath, but didn't give any reply to Peter, while the few people who waited aside for Nathan too didn't took any action, as they witnessed his ended up situation.

Normally they would have blackmailed Peter by using Aeinshia, but compared to escaping, they find it more hard to accept the truth of defeat, they can't believe, their leader, who is one of the most skilled black pawn was unable to withstand only few blows from an imperial knight and the more time passed on, the more they felt it bitter to accept the defeat.

" I take it as an yes, if you cooperate with us, then I will let these four men who stayed behind alive, " Peter finished his words, but anywhere he didn't mention that he is so kind hearted enough to leave those black pawns unscathed and didn't guarantee Nathan's life, which mostly means, he will surely kill after he got the necessary information from Nathan.

Nathan's eyes widened as he listened completely to Peters words. He is not a fool to not understand the underlying meaning behind those words of Peter.

Peter took hold of Nathan's left hand and began to play with his fingers, " You are correct, those people who tried to escape before, they might be on their deathbed already, " He then smiled back evilly.

Nathan truly underestimated seazle empire, seazle empire's princess capabilities to plan and plot and their knights skills. No, it was their master who underestimated all of them. He began to think, he should have escaped when he got the chance, knowing how his comrades didn't even survive till they atleast reached the ends of the forest. However, this isn't the time to regret past actions.

" What? Regretting now that you didn't leave this cave when you got the chance in your hands? " Peter questioned, following it, a wide scream was echoed all around the cave.

Nathan grimaced in pain, as Peter tilted back his middle finger.

"It's so fun listening to your screams. I say you deserve any punishment, " Petter added, while Nathan silently complied.

Raising to his feet, he spoke, " Don't even try to play dirty tricks. You people only know to take down a temple, but we seazle soldiers, we rounded all the ways out of this forest and the city, every single secret tunnel which guided out of this city and every possible way you can escape through, everything were covered. So don't even try, " He warned as he walked towards Aeinshia.

Taking out his shirt, he went near Aeinshia, who is still standing in a daze, her clothes torn at few places, exposing her skin. Since her whole upper sleve was ripped apart by a black pawn, her collarbone, nape were clearly exposed, while the dress is barely covering her chest, slightly showing her cleavage. It would be too bad if word got out, so he immediately placed his shirt over her and helped her in buttoning it.

Soon, many guards came inside the cave, which included the heavily injured Oliver and George. Till this moment, they didn't stop fighting and was worried to death about Aeinshia's safety.

Seeing that she is safe and sound, they heaved a sigh of relief.

Aeinshia too sighed heavily in relief, when she saw the guard who accompanied her, being safe. She was worried about them, too as they too took in the whatever drug was given to her. 

Not to mention, they had to fight all of them, in their dazed state. She was afraid, that the empire would loose their brave warriors under the drug's effect and because of the nasty planning of their enemies. But, they managed to get through. 

The men also, seemed to be stable now.The drug's effect was only a little on them now. But, somehow her ears were ringing a bit and her eyes were still going in and out of focus. 

She was thankful to Peter, who helped her with her clothes. She also, noticed that even though he was practically buttoning up his shirt on her, he didnt have any malice and made sure to keep his eyes and hands in their limits. 

"Your highness, Princess Aeinshia, the culprits are all captured and would be taken to the Capital for further investigation. We should also, proceed out of this place. We also need to make arrangements to close down this cave and to limit the tourists, and should set limits on the visits into the temple for a while, just to make sure to not let commoners nor the higher officials raise their suspicions, I suggest it would be good if we only limit visiting hours in the temple for a while and tell them the temple is undergoing some renovation work inside. We still need to hire few priests in the temple and strenghten the security to not repeat such situations again in future," Peter said with soft tone, but still some how sounded very intimidating. 

Aeinshia felt very thankful towards Peter. She didn't understand how he managed to get to her, she wasn't even sure why was he even here, when he was supposed to be with Evan, but he saved her life. If it was not for Peter, she would have to live her past life again. Of course, her planned knights arrived in time, but they were all too busy to fight with the black pawns stationed at their escape route and at temple.

Not only that, but he also reported to her, how the people who attacked would be treated and what is the status, as if she was the main person in the command here. She was just a princess. Most of the guards and the citizens thought the princesses to be fragile and that they shouldn't involve in the affairs of the politics and royal affairs, but the Royal family, means her Uncle and his followers never believed that and gave them the equal right as everyone. 

Aeinshia smiled a bit weakly at Peter and mumbled lightly "Thank you." The sound came out just above a whisper and could be easily missed if not paid attention, as Aeinshia was very low on her energy. 

But, those words came out very sincerely and the words contained more wait of emotions than just mere words, so Peter heard it loud and clear. He looked up and saw the genuine grateful smile on the princess' face and he couldn't stop the small smile that creeped up onto his face. 

He bowed "Its my duty to ensure your and the Royals' safety." Peter said and bowed again. "Your highness, you would want some rest. Let's step out from here, so your wounds are treated and we can go further, when the drug's effect goes down." Peter voiced and Aeinshia just nodded at his words.

She still got lots to ask, but she couldn't speak anything else. She was tired. Very tired. She had to fight to get past through an obstacle, practically a nightmare in very life (past life), which she successfully did without much damage. And, now with her tiredness, a new found confidence and determination coursed through her veins, giving her even more strength to defeat her enemies and show them, that she can change her ill fate.

Now, the princess was resting in a medic's house, who has provided her the necessary treatment for her wounds that she got during the attack.
