Reborn princess: I will change my ill-fate

Aeinshia eyes him curiously, with face filled with enthusiasm to know what was about to come out of his mouth. Part of her is anticipating and expecting what is it he wanted to say. Part of her knew he was about to finally say the words which she wanted to hear from a very very long time, while part of her didn't want to have high hopes.

'Is he going to say those words? The words I'm expecting for him to say? Am I ready for this? Is he ready for this? Or he is saying it out of pressure or something like that? If he tells, would I be able to say those words back? If I didn't tell, would he leave me? Will he not love me anymore if I don't say back? Will he-'

Aeinshia stopped her thoughts before she could any further. Her insecurities and doubt's were taking over and right now, there is no need for that to happen. She was expecting something nice. She internally sighed. 

She knew, Evan will eventually disappoint her, it's cause, she believes it is very difficult for him to complete his words. He never spoke what he truly feels before or ever, so how could she expect so much from him at once?

So she decided to have patience and just like Felix advised herself, let nature take its course. She decided to take everything slowly and take small steps in mending their relationship. Because, she doesn't want to force him or make him feel uncomfortable because of her own selfish reasons and so kept her expectations low even before he spoke.

But, nonetheless, her eyes in the end betrayed her brain and thoughts. At the last, her eyes indeed showed her true intentions and carried enthusiasm in them, reflecting liveliness, not hiding any sort of confusion in them. Only pure eagerness for her Prince's words. 

" Aeinshia, it's.. It's that. I meant to say this for a long time already, but I am worried about how you are gonna receive it in the end, " He stuttered initially, but continued to say it.

'Should I tell her now? However, I am preparing myself to propose her in near future, it is only a bit early. I think it would be ok if I say it now. The mood and surroundings are all also perfect. This might be the right time. Will she accept my love? Or ask for more time to respond? Or would she just reject? Will she reject me on my face?

Am I taking things too fast? Should I spend some more time with her and make her realise my love for her, so she wouldnt reject me? Won't it be good if we develop some more feelings for each other and then propose her to take her hand in our love marriage? We could have more understand in between us.

Of course, our marriage is bound to happen. But that is a political marriage if we didn't knew about our feelings for each other and now, after proposing to her and if she accepts, then it will turn into a sweet love marriage.

It's ok, I will wait for the fine days and propose then. I don't want to make her stand in awkward position. Maybe this is not the right time after all. I hope she would understand my decision.'

Shaking his head vehemently, " It's nothing Aeinshia. I thought of saying it, but since it happened long ago, I actually forgot it now. I forgot it within seconds. I will surely tell you when I remember, " He gave a reassuring smile to her. It was rather an awkward smile for covering and not to let her know about it. 

For a heartbeat, a tinge of disappointment was evident on her face as she held her head low, trying to hide her sadness, however, quickly regaining her composure, she too smiled back at him and there was no trace of sadness on her face anymore, giving him the assurance he needed.

He really hoped, Aeinshia was not expecting more from him. Hell, he didnt even know, what she was expecting, but by judging her expression she was expecting something nice and he disappointed her. Even it was for split second, he disappointed her. 

'Its alright, Aeinshia. Give him some time. Maybe he is not ready. We should take small steps and during this, I would make sure to show him love and support and understand in for him. I hope one day, he would tell me those words'. 

Aeinshia thought to herself and smiled a bit. Reassuring herself and vowing to take care of their delicate and budding relationship. 

They both decided to take their relationship slowly, unknowingly to each other.

Evan saw the expression change on the face of her and it finally settled on love. Her eyes shined with that emotion and his heart swelled when he realized it was for him. 

Evan's smile broadened, as he realised how well she understands him and not forcing anymore. Normally, unlike today, she teases him, yet now, she didn't once ask him after he replied back. He liked this. She is even giving the space he needed and not forcing anything. Who would get such a good partner? When he thought about that, a sweet smile once again spread on his little pinkish lips.

" So Aeinshia, are you serious on worrying about my health and me catching cold? " He asked, trying to take advantage of her.

" Did I ever look like I am not serious when the matters concern you, " She commented back, to which he shook his head vigorously, indicating a no.

Both of them smiled looking at each other.

Clearly his throat lightly, " Then Aeinshia, I need a small help. I hope you could do it for me, " He spoke, staring at her flawless face, trying to guess what she might answer back in return.

" Anything within my capabilities, " She answered, without giving it much thought. Well, she already decided to always stay by his side and work together to fulfill his dream, so how can she feel burdened if he needs her help? She will be more than glad to be any help of him.

Stepping a little closer to her, he linked his hand with hers, and spoke, " Then this warmth is enough for me to fight against any illness, " He replied while grinning like an idiot.

Aeinshia found it hard whether to laugh or cry or sweetly reprimand him.

How can he still act like a child when he is already fifteen? Aish~ he is still a baby.

Giving in, Aeinshia didn't push him away, unlike before, and softly smiled at him. Even though he disappointed her earlier, he is showing his feelings one way or other. Isn't it cute? So why would she shove him away when what she needs is him? She is glad as long as they could stay close and together.

Thinking as such, she leaned her head onto his shoulders, Taking his support, while both taking the beautiful scenario surrounding them. The bustling streets, brightly lit cosmos lake with boats and most importantly, the person they love is next to them. This sweet memory of today is deeply inscribed in their hearts and minds, that they would even reminisce about it years later and fill their day with happiness loaded in them.

Grabbing her little hand, he intertwined his fingers with hers, " Aeinshia, what did you wish for? " He asked her in his low and deep voice.

'Tell me, I will surely make your wish come true my love.'

" Nothing much. I just hoped everyone around me always stays happy and all their wishes come true, " She replied, a hint of sadness in her voice, knowing what future held in store for her whole family.

Evan nodded, acknowledging her words, " Then, am I also included in those wishes? " He asked instinctively, as it slipped out of his mouth, without much thought giving to it.

" Of course, you are also a part of my world. So you would surely be included in all my wishes. " She spoke as she replied back with a huge smile on her face.

Listening to her reply, Evan's happiness got no bounds. He is liking her more and more as he started to spend more time with her. She is just like a treasure box, the more you get, the more you want to have. Just like that the more you knew about her, the more you want to know. The more you get to know the more new and interesting things.

She isn't that small baby girl who followed his back daily with a runny nose.

He realised, that little kid turned into a beautiful girl who is strong and could stand on her own now. He is happy for her improvement and for her beginning to understand that she can't be like that pure, innocent, docile, kind girl to rule this empire.

But, nonetheless, even though he liked this Aeinshia, he is still missing the little kid who used to tag along with him everywhere and listen to his every word and repeated after him. However, he believed, this change in her is better for her future and could help her to face obstacles and threats that come her way.

Just as he is about to indulge himself in his own thoughts, she bought him back to reality with her talk.

" Remember Evan, Love never fails. A good ending is not living together, but belonging and be happy for eachother, even when the person who you love isn't by your side, " She blurted out her inner thoughts, without any realisation. It's like its not she who told it to him. Some inner force within her kicked her to say it out loud for him to listen, however, now that she spoke already, she can't take it back and continued, " Longing is when you stay for better or worse, but who said love is forever when there is an end, " She completed her incomplete sentence.

Evan was dumbfounded.
