Ore no Ongaeshi: High Spec Murazukuri

Episode 9: In the woods are great enemies of alarm

I'm going into the woods again today.

It had already been several times since I counted it from the first day.

"Brother Yamato, look! More Inahon harvests were made today than yesterday!

The harvest of Inahon, a natural paddy field in the woods, was well under way.

Inahon is a cereal and precious carbohydrate very similar to rice. It is a precious grain for the village of Uld, where most food was collected by the lord and food was in distress.

"Is the harvest twice as efficient compared to the first time? You guys did your best."

"" Bud "?"

"Oh, it means this trolley's twice as many times. I mean, it's good."

"Oh, my God, that's amazing. We are!

"I did my best, too!

I will compliment the children who have completed the tough harvest work. But I wasn't flattered, I was working really hard.

I know because I've experienced it before, but rice cutting is a heavy labor. Long mid back work in a paddy field with wet feet.

Cut the stem with a sickle (kama) and bind it every few bottles. Collect it and put it in the trolley for further lightning work. I don't need strength or special skill, but it's a battle of guts and strength.

"Okay, if you're at this pace, Inahon pruning, don't be done in a few days"

"I'll finish it in no time tomorrow, brother Yamato!

"We don't need to hurry. Keep the rest of the loading and tools clean. I'm gonna look over there."

Give the rest of the instructions to the Inahon mowing squad, and I'll head for the beast hunting squad.

"You guys seem to be getting used to dismantling Big Rabbit."

"Reesha, you teach your sister so well!

"Oh, and of course Brother Yamato"

This one was going a lot better.

This past few days of hunting for the Great Rabbit (Vic Rabbit) was accompanied by me and hunter Risha. Unlike Inahon pruning, this squad that deals with the beast is a lifeline.

Until everyone gets used to the mass production of crossbows, I'm going to protect them.

"Tomorrow we will be replacing the Inahong mowing and the Great Rabbit (Vic Rabbit) hunting squad again. Make sure you can do both."

"Well, I'd rather hunt again..."

"I don't know what it is. Make sure you can do both. Speaking of which, there were some funny bugs in paddy fields."

"What, the bug! All right, I'll do my best to prune the Inahon tomorrow!

I'm just getting used to the little kids.

Ask the girl Risha, remember what they're interested in and feed them to work. The children were thrilled to gather beautiful pebbles in flowers on insects and unexpected objects.

"Yamato, is it a bad idea to let them learn professionally without taking turns?

These days, Riesha comes to take the lead in taking care of the hunting squad. She is a hunter of precious ages even in the village of Uld, where there are only children and the elderly.

Sometimes the village chief's granddaughter also wore some upbringing. So he wondered about my shift. I thought it might be inefficient.

"It is certainly more efficient to train professionally. But I want to raise them all. Look to the future."

"I see... that's Yamato!

She convinced me of my explanation.

It is true that some children will not be good at it because of their physical size and personality problems.

Those who do the tricks and the work are oriented towards agriculture, and those who are focused and unaware of the fears are oriented towards hunters.

"Adult decision crushes a child's potential. So let me challenge you to anything, Mountain Man. '

I remember my parents' words at a young age and practiced them in this wold.

When I was a little girl, age and gender were irrelevant, and I should let them challenge me more and more. He was running a household lesson that there might be an unexpected blossom of talent and that adult discretionary decision making was not possible.

(Because of this, I was forced to join the unprecedented jungle exploration and spiritual mountaineering, and I thought I would die...)

My parents, who call themselves adventurers, had a head screw flying somewhere. I remember the old days and I laugh bitterly in my heart.

"All right, it's time to go back to the village! The rest is after tomorrow."

The children of the two squads reply to my decree and return home.

The pruned inahon is loaded in a cargo van borrowed from the village chief and brought back to the village. After this, line up where you are in the village and work as dry as rice.

Thankfully, the village chief actively cooperates with me and Risha in their request. He lent me whatever tools and places are in the village.

Of course, the meat of prey and the grain of inahon are also eaten separately by the old people who leave messages in the village.

"When you look at it this way, there's also quite a lot of Big Rabbit (Big Rabbit) hunted, Mr. Yamato"

"Oh, right. When we get back to the village, we'll have to get ready for preservation."

The girl Risha is impressed when she sees the trolley ridden by Big Rabbit.

The sight of the flesh of the beast neatly packed with guts and blood draining is rolling. Over the past few days the number of meat from the Great Rabbit (Vic Rabbit) hunted more than doubled.

Nearly twenty today, and this was defeated and hunted by Riesha, the children, and me.

"All right, we're leaving for the village when we're done with the luggage and everyone."

Natural paddy fields are in the woods close to the village, in a relatively safe place. But I couldn't be alarmed, and when I moved, I made sure everyone acted together.

"Brother Yamato, my God!

Before evening, we all tried to return to the village, and it was then. I heard a call for help from the rear of the line.

I rushed to the last part.

"Hey, what's up!?

"Brother Yamato! There's a big beast out there!

"You think it's a big beast?

Those pointing to the boy who was at the rear had the appearance of a giant beast. The snort is rough, and the momentum is still pounding into the line of these children.

"Mr. Riesha, what's that?

"Ah, that's a big pig (Wild Boar)... no way in this place..."

According to her description as a hunter, the big pig (Wild Boer) is also a fairly dangerous type of beast in this forest.

Usually he said he was a little deeper in the woods and it was rare to go into such a shallow place.

(A beast version of a pig in this world... and you're so big)

It's a much bigger beast than the wild pigs I met in the mountains of Japan. The figure is very similar, but there are sharp and large fangs growing from the mouth.

"Everybody back off... I'll kill you..."

Leaving the frightened children to Risha, I move on to the big pig (Wild Boar). Why don't you let all these giant pigs storm a defenseless formation?

I throw pebbles at my feet and provoke them to turn my consciousness towards me.

"Yamato, it's dangerous!

"Brother Yamato!

Reesha and the children who fall back speak out of concern.

But I was ready. Because I needed to know to what extent my “power” would work for the future.

"Brother, it's dangerous!

"Yamato!

With a sad cry, the giant pig (Wild Bore) rushed towards me. The wet soil in the woods kicked up a lot of momentum.

(Still quite a bit of propulsion...)

The pig's greatest weapon is its rampage. At dozens of kilometres of speed, they storm from a low center of gravity with sharp fangs.

If you eat it properly, the meat and bones at your feet are rattled. Pigs are strong creatures enough to repel even wild bears, both on Earth and depending on their size.

(but monotonous movement! And it's too late for "me now”!

I avoid the big pig (Wild Boer), who has stormed with tremendous momentum, just before.

It is a light business like a bullfighter, but I was able to execute it without difficulty for myself with more concentration.

"Ha!!

Having lowered herself at the same time as dodging, I swing my favorite survival knife through her waist.

Target is the organ of the big pig (Wild Boer) Nodo. No matter how tough the beast is, you shouldn't be able to live long if you can't breathe.

"Ooh! Awesome!!

"Brother Yamato!

"Yamato!

I cheer for my move to slash and tear the knode of the big pig (Wild Boer).

The big pig (Wild Boer), who has destroyed his organs and can no longer breathe, rumbles around painfully for a while.

But a few minutes later, he falls to the ground with cramps (convulsions) and dies. Again, even the large beasts of this world will die if they cannot breathe.

"Yamato, are you okay!?

"Brother! It's okay!

Everyone who was evacuating comes running over with my “okay” signal.

"I'm fine. This big pig (Wild Boar) is gonna drain his blood and take it back to the village."

"Yeah, okay!

Children follow my instructions. Take the tools that were loaded on the trolley and drain the blood of the big pig (Wild Bore). Of course, I'm the only adult who can help.

(How dare you... me too)

Surprise yourself again as you look at the desperate big pig (Wild Boer).

With all this giant and rushing speed, its destructive power is unimaginable. It would collapse such as a run-down house in the village.

But I slashed and tore Nodo's steeple from the blind spot as I slashed this sharp fang and thrust. With concentration and speed of travel that I can't imagine from when I was in Japan.

(Are my physical abilities and five senses still improving? That's pretty......)

When I was in Japan, I was an unbeliever in psychic powers and alien powers.

I believed there was always a reason for every thing in the world I could figure it out. But when I come to this other world, my thoughts are changing.

That this is a different world and that I am endowed with some “power”.

(But anyway, it's forbidden to be cautious... especially in this borderline village where there are only old people and children...)

"Brother Yamato is really strong!

"I finished this with a knife!

"You're stronger than the hero king who appears in the Wold Founding Fathers!?

"Exactly. That's... maybe there is!

The kids were so excited.

We all work together to get the big pig (Wild Boer) on the trolley and make it with rope. Such a giant, I, the only adult, would not be able to carry it to the village without pulling it. Even though we got precious food, man. Glad to hear it. Scream.

"This big pig (Wild Boar) is the body that is the big one, but the movement is simple. In the future, I'll have you defeated with a crossbow, be prepared."

"Yeah, okay!

"I have to work hard to be as strong as Brother Yamato."

The kids were excited about my instructions. I don't think the same children who freaked out until earlier are strong.

Young is pure, but therefore strong. If you know you can defeat someone with their hands, even a giant beast is confident.

"Okay, we're going back to the village."

Having obtained a large quantity of meat from the unscheduled big pig (Wild Boer), we decided to return to the village in the evening.

"All right, we're splitting it between Inahon's dry squad and Beast's demolition squad."

I came back inside the village of Uld.

After this, we will move on to the task of processing the food obtained in the forest.

"I'll help you, Yamato."

"Oh, that helps"

Returning to the village, the old men who had left a message also gathered. Though old, experience with their vast array of technologies helps.

Children and the elderly work together to recommend work.

(Village with only old people and children...)

What the village looks like in Pa and See is a normal village.

But all the adults who are workers have been taken away by their lords, and there are only old men and children in Uld today.

Moreover, food and livestock had been collected, a minority destined for doom with little stockpiling.

(If you want to escape, you can't escape...)

You cannot escape from this village.

Because the streets to the big neighboring cities cannot be blocked by barbaric bandits.

(If I hadn't been here a few days ago, how many more days would I have had)

When I came to Wold, I was in a state of considerable food distress. Some of the stories I heard said they only drank water.

It is a village that I now think was in a real critical predicament.

(Was it my destiny to come to this other world... and the village of Uld? No, let's not think......)

I don't even know what's causing the metastasis. I deny my theory of fate with a bitter laugh in my heart.

Because 'Helping the Village of Uld' was not a strange fate, but a choice I made at my own discretion.

"Mr. Riesha, if you make one paragraph, show me to the Mountain Hole Clan house."

"Okay, Mr. Yamato. But stubborn, will they cooperate..."

"That's when, that's when."

Thus I decided to visit the workshop of the Mountain Hole clan, a blacksmith.
