One Piece: The Eldest Brother

The pitiful and agonizing wail of a beast was heard for a rather long time before every sounds suddenly stopped dead in an instant with the sound of something being torn off from something. Only the echo of its demise seemed to rung again for but a moment too.

"Aya...that was violent..." A voice sounded out in the forest as a someone came out from behind a tree. That someone's hair was of a striking and beautiful purplish color with a tint of bluish color at the end of each strands of hair making it look quite exotic and rare. On his back, a big and fluffy tail was swinging really slowly, right to left as if following a rythm.

That person was Zaz and he was looking ahead of himself right at where Edam was currently standing.

In front of Edam, the lifeless corpse of the vulcan from earlier could be seen, unmoving, in a gruesome state and most of all beheaded... What was once its head was

rolling on a small slope not that far away.

As for Edam, he was standing in front of it with a kind of unsettled or so expression on his face as he then turned around to face Zaz.

His once white t-shirt was dyed and tainted with the vulcan's blood, even his face had some bloodstain on it making him appeared spooky, dreadful, and creepy admist this already somber mountain and forest.

"Oh... you were there...?" Although he asked with a tint of surprise in his voice, his facial expression was clearly showing he was not that much in fact.

"What do you mean ?" Zaz raised an eyebrows and asked curiously with his two arms behind his neck.

"No nothing... never mind..." Edam slightly shrugged his shoulders as he walked up to him.

"Uh huh... anyway what a pity I didn't get to see you use your Ki this time..." Zaz curiously looked at Edam's arm.

"Oh that..." Edam raised his arm in front of himself as it began to glow a faint and discret red light.

"Say, now that I think about it, why is it red now, you can change it's color ?" Zaz asked as he looked at it. He had already seen Edam demonstrate this energy called Ki before so he knew up to a certain point how it looks like and from his memory it didn't had this bloody color but just a light-blue one.

"Yeah I can... somehow... " He paused a bit and then continued. "But... you know what I do is not really changing color, it's more like changing the nature of my Ki or something... making it more lethal or less in short... the color just follow the nature's caracteristic...." He explained as he moved his arm around before channeling more power into his arm making it glow brightly.

"...See, doesn't it looks like fresh blood...?" Edam said with a complicated look on his face before withdrawing his Ki and his arm with a small swing to the side.

"..." At that Zaz stayed silent for a while before taking a breath and saying...

"Hmm... is that a problem ?"

"Uh... well yes and no, in fact I won't use it in public for now, it's too flashy, grandpa Z suggested me not to use it frequently because...well you know..."

"Yeah... make sense..." Zaz himself knew that this thing had put a strong impression on the mind of every persons who were there on that day, he himself couldn't forget what he saw, that day was kind of phenomenal and unforgettable...

(A/N: *Flashback of Edam lv "God" lol.*.)

After a small silence Zaz asked. " So you won't use it anymore then ?"

"Hell no, I will use it, I will train in it even more now, more than ever even. Althought it would be more efficient I don't really need to show my Ki outside of my body, I can just use it to enhance my body's strenght and such...." He paused and wore a thoughtful expression for a second and continued on. "So... I will play nice and slow for now... or at least I will try..."

"...Hum...Well hehe anyway... it will at least serve as a lamp or something right ? Pretty useful if you ask me..." The little wolf said with a sarcatic tone.

"..." It was Edam's turn to stay silent for a second before bursting out. "...You bastard did you say I was a lamp, [email protected]#$%^&*..." And a mountain of insults sounded out and he gave him a bumped on his head with a...

Pah!

"Aouch...! it was joke..." Zaz rubbed his head with a tear in his eyes.

"Yeah yeah, let's go back shall we..." Edam walked away...

"Hehe..." followed by Zaz who laughed a bit as he caught up to him. "Hey how about we make race back home ?"

"You wanted to run against me ?" Edam looked at him with a strange expression.

"Yeah, why not ? I've greatly improved my speed you know, even Mikey is struggling to keep up with me." Zaz spoke with a lot of pride making Edam smirk faintly as he replied.

" You know I'm faster than Mickey, but heh... Sure why not ? But to the Waterfall first, I want to catch a fish before going back, you know where it is right ?"

"Yup !"

"Alright~..."

"Three, Two, One... Go !" And the two ran through the woods like two blurring and fast shadows passing by swiftly scarying the small beasts who didn't really got what was happening.

The sun slowly began to finish its dayly routine as the Monkey/Wolf duo reached the camp after having had some fun and a good catch. As they made their way out of the forest, they were greeted with Ace and Luffy dragging a huge wild boar toward the campfire happily. Meanwhile behind Edam, the huge frame of a giant fish could be seen being dragged by its tail tightly gripped in his hand.

"Oh Edam-nii, Zaz !" Luffy exclaimed as he waved toward them with his big and happy smile.

"Yo Edam, Zaz !" Ace nodded in their direction as he dragged the boar.

"Yo Ace, Luffy we're back." Edam and Zaz greeted back as they made their way toward both of them.

"Edam-nii look at that boar, I bet it will be delicious !" Luffy's eyes twinkled brightly as he salivated at it.

"Hmm... good catch." Edam nodded twice and added. "Good job you two." He lifted his thumb up to praise them as Ace then yelled.

"Oy Luffy help me !" Ace scolded him as the former wasn't helping anymore.

"Ah ! Sorry, sorry..." Luffy laughed and sticked out his tongue as he helped Ace again, followed by Zaz who also began to help them too.

"How lively..."

Edam smiled wrily and laughed softly at that but didn't say anything as he then glanced at the surrounding and saw Stella and the twins coming out of the house with a basket full of ingredients and kitchen utensils to cook that huge boar there.

"Zaz, Edam-nii you're back at last." Kyara laughed out happily and ran to them with her basket in hands.

"Yep sorry for the wait." Zaz replied smilingly.

"Sis let me help you too." Edam said but was quickly interrupted by Stella who said.

"No, you will first go take a bath, you're all dirty now." She said pinching her nose to emphasize her meaning.

"Oh... right..." Edam took a glance at his clothes. To catch the fish he had used his "Edam's unique secret technique, Worm bait.", and although he had tried to washed it and squezzed it, the foul stench of the beast's blood still remained on his T-shirt, like a damn virus or something, unfortunately he didn't have a soap to "purge" and "cleanse" away this "evil" into nothingness so...yeah...

(A/N: Ahem...Washed your hands and all, it's important... lol.")

Ten minutes or so later he came back all dressed up along with an apron for himself this time and started to help them cook the huge boar as well as the fish.

Magra, Dogra and five persons too came to help. Some of them had even caught some things beforehand from fish to fruits as well as vegetable and even some smaller preys but still meats.

Wash and scale the fish... Skin and cut the boar, mince the vegetable and season the meat, it's a lot of work to do to eat a good dinner indeed... but fortunately they were numerous.

After a while, even Dadan joined them, shouting here and there, ordering people to do this and that as more and more people started to gather around the long and large oval shaped table placed outside.

At last everything was ready, and the dinner was just waiting patiently on the table to be eaten. The table was armed to the teeth filled with countless dishes decorating it.

"Itadakimasu !"

A strong and powerful shout rung out in unison as everyone present furiously digged into their plates. It was especially the case at the spot where Edam & co were, everyone of them were gluttons despite their small bodies.

Even the two girls were eating as if they were starving for days and there was of course no need to speak about the four boys, the four of them could maybe finish off everything on their own without any help and ȧssistances.

... ... ... ...

Late at night, on the roof of the house while everyone was sleeping, Edam human-monkey like outline could be made out as he quietly sat cross-legged with his hands on the knees as his whole body was being illuminated by the faint light of a half-moon which shone on him.

He was looking thoughtfully at the half-moon as he could hear his heartbeat racing faster and faster as he continued to watch it, his mind wavering slowly but surely as if someone was throwing a stone in a calm pond disturbing the calm in it.

After a while he slowly closed his eyes and breathe in and out.

After ten minutes passed, his heartbeats slowed down greatly.

After half an hour, his heartbeats came back to a normal state... and his mind wavered no longer.

After another half an hour, a serene atmosphere radiate out from him as he stayed still like a statue, not moving an inch, bathing in the moonlight with a tranquile demeanor...

His sitting silouhette then began to shine with an indistinguishable red glow, moving all around him in locks of smokes.

Meanwhile on Edam's head, a miniature black eagle shaped bird stood there sleeping peacefuly using his head like a nest.
