One Piece: The Eldest Brother

Waking up Edam took his fishing rod and began to set off to the river.

However before he go too far away, a voice sound saiying " OY, Edam where are you going ?"

Edam turned around and looked to where the house was and replied "Oh it's you Sabo ? You're already up ?"

Sabo was out of the house but still in the tree rubbing his eyes.

"Yeah so where are you going ?" Sabo asked curiously.

"Oh, right, I'm going to fish around the river near here, do you want to come ?" Edam asked while holding his fishing rod on his shoulder.

"Humm why not, I've nothing to do anyway" He then run in the house and took his fishing rod.

However when he returned, Ace and Luffy were with him.

"Ehh? You two are already up ?" Edam asked a little surprised.

They nodded while Ace said " Sabo is too noisy, noisier than an elephant." he said that yawning a bit.

"Anyway we're going to fish right ?"

"Yep to fish we are !" Sabo replied in Edam stead.

"Should we go ?" Smiling faintly Edam asked.

"Let's go !" The three shouted as they made their way to the river.

"Hey do you three know that fish-men really do exist ?" Edam asked them as they were making their way to the river.

"What ?!! Realllyyy !!!" Luffy was the first to shouted while his eyes were glittering.

"Heeeh that's cool but is it more impressive than you who has a monkey tail ?" Ace said smiling a bit and looking at Edam.

"You got a point, haha" Edam laughed at that.

"How do you know that there are fish-men out there ?" Sabo suddenly said curiously.

"Oh, Grandpa would sometimes take me to see some doctors from the outside and I just happened to see a fish-man."

"So cool... I want to see a fish-man too." Said Luffy while dreaming a bit.

"You will have to wait Luffy-... no you three..." Edam wanted to say Luffy but then he noticed the same glitter in Ace and Sabo's eyes.

Edam smiled faintly when he saw them like that and just continued to walk letting them dream on their own.

Arriving at the river, what was supposed to be a peaceful fishing turn out in a ferocious battle between brothers to see who was the best fisherman among them.

Edam P.O.V

At first we thought it was just his luck and that he would run out of luck but nothing like that happened. Instead he won and won and won again while we were losing and losing and losing again.

"Hehehe you two still have a long way to go, hehehe..." Sabo said disdainfully while looking at us.

"You...!" Ace said that no supporting to lose so much.

Even I was a bit pissed off at my incompetence as I really did seems to suck at fishing.

It really was weird, before even though I wasn't the best at fishing but I wasn't so bad at fishing, was I ?

I even thought that he cheated by putting something fishy on his fishing rod, but nothing suspiscious was there when I looked.

We threw our fishing rod about fifty time but only Sabo's fishes took the damn bait. We changed at least ten time the bait but nothing changed. Our fishing rod were cursed or ...no it was surely cursed, I couldn't think of anything other than that.

It was the only thing he could beat me at, so he even started to laugh at me with his hands on his waist while being proud of him.

"Hahaha Edam, see this hehehe..." Sabo laughed like an idiot.

Seeing him laughing at me with an idiotic laughter, my face twitch a bit as I felt my dėsɨrė to win soaring greatly.

Standing up and smiling a bit I then said.

" Alright, I didn't want to do this as I don't like to use it like a bait but it seems like I have to teach you what is modesty, Hah..." I sigh at the end of my sentence.

"Are you going to jump in ? that would be cheating..." Ace said not approving what he thought I would do.

"Hey it doesn't count if you jump in it you know ?" Sabo said too.

"Nii-chan what are you going to do ?" Luffy who was fishing happily even though he never caught a fish said at the side.

" Hehehe look well guys this is a technique that only I can do." I said trying to sound as mysterious as possible with a little smile on my face.

" ???"

When they heard that they all turned their head toward me with a questioning mark on their faces.

Anyway getting their full attention, I turned around swiftly and suddenly while I detached my tail which was around my waist.

"???" They clearly didn't understood a single things of what I was trying to do.

Suddenly my tail that was swinging in the air dropped down in the water with a "plop" sound making them made a " Ehh... ?" sound.

Seeing this Sabo said "Are you serious... ?"

Even Ace and Luffy were watching attentively.

I just smile at that while closing my eyes and said " watch this !" while I took my tail back from the water.

About only 10 seconds had passed since I've put my tail in the river.

So when they saw what I did their eyes were wide open but for an entirely different reason than that, what stunned them was that...

Following my tail was a gigantic fish trying to eat my tail with a "Swatch,swatch" sound that his mouth was making.

"That...that is...?!" They were gaping as they saw my method working.

When the fish arrived in midair, I jumped while grabbing it's tail and then I smash it on the ground making a loud sound resonate throughout this place.

Shocking them I then tried to do it a few time, to make sure that it wasn't just luck at work here but unexpectedly or as expected it really did worked again and again.

"So cool...!" Luffy cried out loud seeing my special method. I didn't know where it was cool but it sure was useful.

"What the f*** !!" Then it was Ace's turn to cried out loud. "It really worked..." His surprised face was twitching a bit as he said that.

"And it's much more efficient than fishing normally " Even Sabo was amazed at that.

Seeing their face, especially Sabo's face, I was completely satisfied. My ego as a big bro was filled to the brim.

Anyway after this little contest, we began to talk while enjoying our fishing time together.

While we were talking, our discussion wondered about something that happened yesterday night.

Sabo was the first to asked " Hey did any of you see who was the idiot from this night ?"

"Oh someone came, I was so sleepy that I didn't noticed..." Luffy said surprised.

" I did heard someone but by the time I tried to see who it was, your trap had already did his job..." Ace said while remembering the scene of a huge silhouette being swept away by a barrel.

"And you ? did you managed to see it Edam ?" he then asked me.

"Oh, I think I saw Dadan, maybe she tried to see how we were doing ?" I said and then added "I think..." but I was certain that it was her. I had already opened my eyes as I had already heard something climbing the tree.

As my eyes could see almost clearly in tve dark, I saw her trying to see if we were covered with our cover. Seeing her like that I've even began to doubt if it was really her for an instant, but when she was swept away and she began to curse, only then was I certain that it was her.

Strangely, when I saw her caring about us like that, I felt kind of happy to see that even though, she seems to dislike us, it wasn't really the case.

"Hey guys I think that we have enough fishes don't you think ?"

Around us were a hundred of fishes twitching violently on the ground.

We or more like Sabo had caught about a hundred of normal fishes while I caught some huge ones.

As we couldn't take back the hundred or so fishes in the basket that I had prepared we decided to released those who had the chance to live up till now.

And then we returned back to home as we lift the huge fishes while walking toward our home before cooking and eating what we caught.

Anyway our days were going peacefuly.

Sometimes we would played to "pirate and marine" game as they were the pirates and I obviously the marine's soldier.

Sometime we would messed around Gray Terminal and the City.

And of course we would also trained regularly.

And like that an entire week had passed as it was time for me to go.
