One Piece: The Eldest Brother

To fight our way out of being homeless, we four brothers decided to build our house in a tree.

Everyday we would go to Gray terminal to take everything that could serve to build the house. Broken woods, rusty nails, anythings that could help to make the house hang firmly on the tree were quickly disappearing from there.

It was then that Luffy's power usefulness revealed itself.

Indeed the power that we thought was a little useless finally showed it's true color.

It became so much easier to work as all he had to do was to extent his rubber arms as we place woods or whatnot and he would just retract his arms like a crane.

In amazement to his devil's fruit's power I said.

"Hey, Luffy are you sure you want to become a pirate, I think you should become a crane operator no ?"

"Pfff...Hahahaha..."

When they heard what I said Sabo and Ace exploded in laughter, so much that they dropped the things that they were holding in their arms right onto their feet.

Their faces was a strange mix of laughter and pain.

At first I didn't intent to laugh, but imagining a little Luffy on a pirate boat doing the crane was too much even for me.

However I quickly regretted doing that.

Luffy who was upset began to sulk, resulting in him not helping at all.

I had to apologize for nearly two hours before he accept my apology. And as if it was not enough, he even made me promised him to make a beef steak like Makino-neechan use to make, just for him. It was the only dish from Makino-neechan that I could redo perfectly and maybe the most delicious dish that I and he knew of.

We lost an hour of me apologizing and another of negociating before we got to work again.

In three days our hanging house was almost finished. For four kids, the result was astonishing I would say.

It was really spacious and it seems to stand firmly despite the few materials that we had. We really could be construction's workers and be the best in this domain.

Now I knew that ' if I couldn't go far in the marine's way and they couldn't go far in the pirate's way then we could be construction's workers.' I thought jokingly.

As the night was coming we layed down on the floor in a circle while looking at the celling.

"Hihi, we finally have our own house..." Luffy said happily.

"That's right haah..." Sabo sighed in relief to have finally finished the house.

"Maybe we should make some traps no ? Just in case an idiot tried to come in there while we sleep." Ace said while looking at the roof.

" I'll do it, I know how to make a quick and efficient trap." Sabo said lazily, he was clearly exhausted.

"You don't need to, I can sense danger when I'm asleep so..." I said that in a lazy voice too, it wasn't as hard as surviving in the forest but it was so much boring that I felt more tired mentally. So it wasn't my body who gave in but my head who give in first.

"Yeah, but if we have a trap you won't have to get up and kick the ȧss of the unfortunate one that had awakened you." Sabo said, totally convincing me.

" You know what, you're right, thanks for the trouble. I will go catch our dinner, what do you three want to eat ?" I said that while I stood up, streching a bit while gazing at them.

"Beef steak !!!" The three shouted out at the same time. I knew that they would want that and as I had to prepared it for Luffy to make up to my promised to him, I didn't see any inconvenience about it.

"Haah..." I sigh as THIS beef steak wasn't just any beef steak, it was the only beef steak from Makino-neechan that I knew how to cook perfectly. It was supremely delicious but also supremely hard and tiring to do. The ingredient were not something that could be found anywhere.

And even if it wasn't about how annoying it was, I still had to make a lot. Seriously just me and Luffy could finish an Adult Elephanorino without talking about Ace and Sabo, they ate as much as us.

It was cool to have worthy opponent but that wasn't the case for the one to make the foods.

The quantity to nourish us four were gigantic to say the least.

Maybe it was why we were stronger than other kids and ȧduŀts ?

With that I made my way out of home by jumping off the tree.

*One hour later*

I came back with two big buffalo, It didn't took me much time to take them down but it was more like dragging them back here that took a long time. They were a bit far away so dragging them was annoying.

As I couldn't take the two buffalo to the house I then prepared the food at the foot of the tree.

I have to say that the place we chose was really ideal.

' Alright, tomorrow I'll go to fish.'

" Ace, Sabo, Luffy, it's ready we can eat !" I shouted out loud as they heard my call and ran out.

Ace and Sabo had to climb down while Luffy just had to jump down. Jumping off of a tree or getting hit by a hammer couldn't hurt him as he was a rubber man so it was pretty convenient. Which just goes to show that it wasn't the power that was useless but more like how the user use it.

After that we had a good meal as we finished the two buffalo straight away like starving wolves, even the side dish that I did were swept away.

And then a good sleep await us as we faced the ceiling again but this time to sleep.

"Good night guys..." I said while yawning a bit and then closing my eyes.

"Good night...." they replied the same as they closed their eyes and yawn too.
