Oath of Love

Chapter 27:Goodbye, Mr. Ye (4)

So, it seemed that she couldn't afford this lover game. She put in her purest feelings in the prime of her life.

But she didn't get cherished in return.

"Maybe she wants my autograph," Su Yue said gently. "She blanked out after seeing me. Dear, wait a moment."

After speaking, Su Yue opened the door and alighted the car, walking toward An Ran with her swinging hips. She took off the lid of a highlighter. With a beautiful smile, she wrote her name on the school uniform that An Ran would never wear again.

"Okay, little girl. I signed my name. Can you move aside now?" Su Yue spoke gently, but it made the listener feel uncomfortable.

An Ran still didn't move.

Did the woman think it was a blessing to sign her name on her clothes? Was she supposed to thank her tearfully?

No, An Ran found it insulting! If not for Liu Weiwei, she wouldn't even know who Su Yue was.

Someone else had been allowed to leave this insulting mark on her chest before him.

Ye Chengwei seemed to have lost his patience. He got out of the car and walked before An Ran. He looked at her for a few seconds. Then he grabbed her elbow and pulled her aside.

An Ran lost her balance and stumbled. Thankfully, Liu Weiwei who had come out with the cake caught her.

"An Ran!" Liu Weiwei called out.

An Ran lowered her head and didn't reply.

Liu Weiwei looked at Ye Chengwei's cold face and Su Yue's sweet smile.

"Oh, you," Su Yue scolded. "You're only gentle to me."

Ye Chengwei didn't answer. He opened the car's door, got in and stepped on the gas pedal. They left in a cloud of dust.

"That little girl is so dumb." Su Yue scoffed with some disdain. She was completely different from the gentle act she put up for the fans.

In the rearview mirror, Liu Weiwei pulled An Ran away, getting further and further. She looked so lonely and pitiful.

Seeing that, Ye Chengwei suddenly stepped on the brakes. "Take a taxi to the film site yourself," he said in a low voice.

"What?" Su Yue looked at him in shock. She couldn't believe that he would ditch her halfway.

"I don't want to repeat myself." Ye Chengwei didn't look at her. His eyes were still trained on the rearview mirror. An Ran's figure was still there—so small, so fragile, so heartbreaking.

"What's wrong, A-wei?" Su Yue asked gently. "Wasn't everything alright just then?"

An Ran's figure disappeared at the corner and Ye Chengwei finally looked back. He leaned across the front seat and opened the door for Su Yue.

Su Yue still wanted to say something, but she didn't dare continue, because Ye Chengwei's expression was already very cold. He'd never treated her like this before.

She'd always been spoiled by him, but faced with his coldness, she didn't dare to say anything. She just said bye, kissed Ye Chengwei's face indulgently, and left.

Ye Chengwei picked up his phone. "Uncle Zhang, bring her to my house."

***

An Ran didn't speak.

"Ye Chengwei is an *sshole." Liu Weiwei angrily tossed away her wet wipe like an angry female warrior. "Even though you have…that kind of relationship, how could he still be indifferent when seeing you get bullied?"

"Stop," An Ran whispered. "Let's hurry back to school. Everyone must be worried."

"An Ran, cut it off if you can. Those rich guys have no feelings, especially a top rich guy like him…"

Liu Weiwei was still talking, but An Ran had already walked into the distance. She her tears away softly.
