Gu Xinyi was brought to the hospital immediately. Gu Nantian walked over and draped his outer coat on Xu Zhiyin. Xu Zhiyin looked at herself. She was indeed unkempt. She tugged her clothes but did not remove Gu Nantian's outer coat. She pushed his hand away coldly. "I'll go back first."

"Are you angry I pushed Gu Xinyi into the water? I didn't do it on purpose, I…"

He wanted to leave but Gu Xinyi blocked him and he accidentally pushed her into the water.

"No." Xu Zhiyin seized the collar of the outer coat and said indifferently, "Mr. Gu, you don't have to be overly concerned about what I think. I have been a doctor for many years and can't accept people who ignore lives. If I hadn't been here today, all of you would have just watched Miss Gu die in this lake."

Gu Nantian paused.

Xu Zhiyin looked at the row of people behind Gu Nantian. All of them were Gu Nantian's subordinates. Their attitude and response toward Gu Xinyi might not represent the current Gu Nantian but they definitely represented the past Gu Nantian. They must have been trained to behave in this manner.

"I know all of them work for you but I didn't expect them to be so loyal to you when it comes to matters of life and death. If you wish someone to die, they will definitely do it for you, won't they?"

Qiao stood by the side. He and the other subordinates dared not speak.

The day they started following Gu Nantian, they had been obedient and dared not defy Gu Nantian's orders. Even if Gu Nantian asked them to do things they shouldn't do, they would still do it.

Because of this loyalty, they remained at Gu Nantian's side till now.

Qiao answered, "Mr. Gu asked me to send you back. There aren't any taxis here, you can't just walk out like this, can you?"

Xu Zhiyin looked at the wide road. Besides Gu's car, there weren't any other cars.

When she saw that Gu Nantian had not followed, Xu Zhiyin got into the car.

She had nowhere to go temporarily. So, she went to her friend's house.

Qiao left after dropping her. Xu Zhiyin went upstairs and pressed the doorbell. After a while, the door was opened.

"Zhiyin?" The person who opened the door was Fang Qian, Xu Zhiyin's best friend. Both of them grew up together and they were very close.

"Do you know everyone knew about your divorce? Because of this, your mother was extremely angry and I heard she was ill! Today, my mother went to see her in the hospital. Please go and visit her when you're free!"

Xu Zhiyin was taking a shower in the bathroom when she heard Fang Qian's voice from outside.
