"Baby you are not coming back today,_"

"Dad I'm under attack." I Could hear my Dads breathing change from over the phone that's why I didn't want to tell him In the first place but now seeing I had no choice I just had to.

"Where are you what do you mean you are under attack? See why I said that you need a body guard?"

"Dad seriously this is not the time to scold me. I'm two streets away from the island gate." The guys shot again gaining grounds with us. The bullet few past me a few inches. I threw the phone down and looked behind.

"Why the hell are they after you?" Kuku asked driving faster. So fast it matched my heart beat. I didn't reply. I wanted to cry, scream. My mouth watered and I swallowed keeping tab of the men behind.

A street close to the island the guys Gained momentum seeing that we were already close to the island and they won't be able to do much since it was heavily guarded. Two of the guys now excluding the driver shot madly, kuku had to bend and drive but even swaying could not save him from the bullet that hit his hands. "Shit." He cursed automatically showing down.

"Oh my God. Oh my God." I cried. They were already so close to us I had to take over the wheels. I didn't know if it was fear or tension or maybe I was just tired and wanted to end it all.

I drove like a mad woman, the car felt like it was flying. With the force of the speed I hit the island gate and immediately the security men all came out. By my calculation 10 of them. I looked back to see if we were still being followed and like I predicted the car had stopped immediately I got to the gate.

"Ma'am are you OK." A seargent asked as I opened the door to get down. The back tire had expunged from the car. I didn't know if it was the reason for all the smoke but there was so much smoke I was almost blinded.

I rushed to the drivers seat to open the door but it was locked from inside. I rushed back in and opened the door doing my best not to touch kuku in the processes.

"We have to get you to the hospital now." I said to him whilst I pulled him out of the car. He wanted to say something but he passed out, his head hitting the car which made me almost fall in the process. The Sargent helped steady him and carried him into the police van.

"Please move fast." I shouted. I felt they should fly

"Ma'am please calm down." I rolled my eyes at the sergent. My head could not process anything.

We got to a government hospital and the sergent stopped. "Ma'am let's take him there it's closer than your hospital."

"I do not trust Nigerian government hospitals when it comes to emergencies."

"Ma'am but its closer."

"Please move. My hospital it is." I said as a Matter of finality.

Immediately we got to my hospital he was carried on rollers and I set to work immediately with my night surgeons. The bullet had been close to his heart but not close enough. We were able to stabilize him and I can not tell you how relieving that is for me to hear. At the point he was shot I felt like I was shot too. I felt the pain of the possibility of loosing him and it was a stabbing pain.
