"Well my life hasn't exactly been Interesting." I said. I was sitting down on his desk in the office and he looked really unhappy unlike himself. I felt like whatever was wrong with him was weigh too deep for him to have hidden it from me. We had been working on contract but he kept on getting distracted which in turn distracted me.

I found myself lost in my mind thinking of nothing and everything.

I had been trying to get him to tell me what the problem was but he has not responded.

"I know." He said looking detached from himself. "Look Zara it's just my father that's all. I really Dont want to burden you with details."

I held his hands locking eyes with him."I have been bordering you with mine you know for so long you have been my listening ear. Let me listen to you now please."

He took in deep breathes and sighed. "My dad has started neglecting my mum again following the efcc investigation on him. My mum is sick, cancer. It just hurts that as a doctor I can't do much to help her and she has to seek help abroad from other doctors."

"You know it has nothing to do with you but more to do with the hospitals we have in this country. The medical care is bad."

"I know it still doesn't stop it from hurting." He sighed. I've never seen him look so vulnerable, he was always happy, always cheerful this was a side of him I hadn't seen before. It broke my heart.

"its fine. She will be fine." I c.a.r.e.s.sed his palms soothing it gently with my fingers. "How long has she been fighting?"

"Ten years. Ovarian cancer now b.r.e.a.s.t Cancer." He hived. He was looking so down I honestly didn't know what to do.

"Alright let's do this." I pulled him up(he stood up when I kept pulling his hands because there was no way in hell I would have been able to pull him up.) "Let's dance."

He chuckled. I held his waist pulling him to the middle of the office. Let's dance.

"There is no music Zara really." He looked incredulous. I Shook my head and laughed at the thought that came to mind. It was so cheesy but I was going to go with it.

"Let's dance to the sound of our hearts beating." I smiled waiting for him to burst out laughing but he didn't. Instead he brought me close and rested his head on my shoulder.

"Let me be a baby today." He chuckled. I didn't push him away I let him rest while I c.a.r.e.s.sed his back. His weight on me was heavy still it comforted me. It was nice to feel someone resting on me, to feel responsible, to feel needed.
