I arrived at Chukwuma's house after a few minutes on the road. The ride to his house was filled with so much laughter. We talked about everything except our relationship, down from work till the church and even feminism.

When we got into his mansion his security man opened the gate even before he could horn. He drove in speedily into his compound as if he could not wait for me to see his home.

I was intrigued by his mansion. The interior designer really did a good work in it and the architect too. I stepped down from the car without waiting for him to come over.

"Your house is breathtaking." I gushed. I was indeed awed.

"Thank you. Thank you." He blushed, stepping around the car to meet me. He stretched his hands for me and I took it, smiling.

"Shall we?"

"mhm." I nodded yes, and let him lead me into the house.

Inside the mansion was just as spectacular as the outside. My lips were slightly open as I took in the magnificent decor of his home. Kuku's house made Wale's house look like a hut.

He came back with a bottle of whisky and two glasses. I was already sitting down on one of his sofas when he returned

He passed me a glass and I smiled taking it. "Thank you." I muttered.

I watched him with a smile on face as he filled my cup and his with whisky. There was no tension between us. The tension and intrigue I used to feel around Wale was not there. When I was with Kuku I felt at peace, comfortable and just myself.

After filling our cups Kuku then sat down on the same sofa with me, but he sat far away at the edge. He dropped the whisky and stared at me with a smile that reached his eyes. He looked so happy to have me around. The smile made him look even more handsome. My stomach fluttered.

"The whisky is for?" I asked, shooting him a suspicious look. I swallowed the bile that formed in my throat. I was still suffering from one heartbreak the last thing I wanted was to throw myself to another mans arms.

And I knew that I was still in love with Wale.

"Its for us to relax so that we may have a Light headed conversation and be happy and free for today." He replied. Then he touched my glass with his. "Cheers to us and to the people that stayed and to those that left."

"Cheers." I laughed out. Silence followed but it was a comfortable silence.

"So about the clip we watched, tell me what you think. Let it out."

We were taking a break when he called me to watch a clip that he found very funny and controversial.
