"Well you are not exactly wrong."

"You are not wrong."

I started, clearing my throat to  make my voice more audible. "I'm just wondering how you got to know this within the space of a day. In fact by my calculation it hasn't even be up to a day we met. Or maybe this is just a line you tell other girls."

"Other girls." He smiled. "Well I won't say much about this assumption, but then that's not a line I tell other girls." He said, then he muttered something to himself I didn't quite get.

"I see. " I said again willing for the ground to open up and swallow me. What was it with me saying' I see: like I was previously blind.

"So tell me about yourself. You seem like a very interesting Lady."

"I  am far from being interesting. My life has been will I say perfect. My family is the best, yes we do fight, disagree throw hateful words but I love them still and I will pick them over any other family a thousand times. I grew up having anything I wanted, growing up my father was the governor of Lagos state. We however had to move to Abuja when he became a senator. I schooled abroad, Oxford university to be precise. Medicine and surgery but I'm a physician although I can do most surgeries and I'm also knowledgeable about children and woman's health. I have two elder sisters both in London with their family's. That's all you need to know. My whole life story. Quite short and boring right?"

He laughed. "No it's not at least it's more interesting than mine."

"So tell me yours." I said already starting to relax. He was making me more than comfortable, so comfortable I was sure I could spill out my darkest secrets to him without much efforts from him.

"Don't be in a hurry love. Let today be about you. A Lady deserves a day for herself."

"Well. I guess I am a Lady." I smiled loving how he said a Lady. It was so endearing and so hot Jesus Christ I wanted him in the dirtiest way already. I wanted his hands on me.

"So how has your relationsh.i.p.s been?" He asked as the waiter dropped our order. I started digging into my fish already, de LA crest made the best barbeque fish in Abuja. It was my first love when I returned into the country and it still is my first love.

"I have had a whole lot of boring and ordinary relationsh.i.p.s. I dated some doctors all boring. Anyway I wasn't taking any of them seriously I kind of always wanted to marry from Nigeria you know a man like my dad. I love my Dad so much he is so good I didn't say perfect but good, my mum has it well." I said in between chewing. It was quite unladylike but I felt free, like I could do as I pleased.

"You seem to admire him a lot."

" I do you know, I do." His countenance changed to a sad one at my confession but almost immediately it did the smile on his face quickly came back but I decided not to ask him about it.
