My Chaotic City

Zhen Deqiang's question instantly made Deity Robber feel guilty. However, he kept a straight face and replied, "The aunties are currently out selling potions." 

This matter could not be hidden anymore. The reality was that the potion-selling aunties were already making a name for themselves. Players who ran out of potions at the training grounds in the outskirts would go about looking for these aunties. It would be no surprise if Zhen Deqiang knew one or two of them. 

"Selling potions?" Zhen Deqiang frowned. "What scheme is this?" 

Zhen Dejun stepped forwards from behind Zhen Deqiang and looked at Deity Robber with an unpleasant gaze as he spoke coldly, "This isn't how you should be utilizing the people we give you. Get them back here right now. What exactly are you up to?" 

Deity Robber's heart dropped for a moment and wondered to himself if Zhen Deqiang and Zhen Dejun were here to call him out? 

He replied hastily, "Guild Leader, Deputy Guild Leader, please calm down and listen to my explanation. That Li Hanqiang has a Mysterious Shop in his Chaotic City that sells low-level potions. However, the pricing is higher than in the normal shops…" 

"I know this. I even bought an Inspiration Potion from that mysterious shop before. However, what does this have to do with you ordering the aunties to go around reselling potions?" Zhen Dejun asked in return. 

Deity Robber lamented to himself that good days never last and he replied, "As far as I know, that Li Hanqiang has collected a large number of gold coins. Any player that helps him defend the city will get a subsidy if they buy potions from that mysterious shop. Because I have already gotten his trust, I have asked him for the privilege of a permanent subsidy to help him win over hearts and minds. Basically, I can get a 6.4% discount off of potions and get the aunties to sell them in order to deplete his gold reserves." 

"What?" Zhen Deqiang paused and used his fingers to do the math before saying, "He's no fool, would he really keep giving you this subsidy? Isn't this just giving away money?" 

Deity Robber smiled. "Rich but dumb. That sums up Li Hanqiang." 

Zhen Deqiang glanced at Zhen Dejun before asking, "Is this true? Is Li Hanqiang truly that foolish?" 

Zhen Dejun thought about it before nodding and spoke from his experience. "That Li Hanqiang is a bit of a dumb*ss." 

Zhen Deqiang huffed coldly before he kicked Zhen Dejun for ten points of damage and said, "I'm thinking that the two of you are the fools. There must be something behind it!" 

Deity Robber replied, "Guild Leader, what do we care if there's something behind it? Is it not enough that we can make some money? It wouldn't do to get the aunties to kill monsters and they're good at selling potions. We can get the potions in with a 6.7% discount and when we resell them, we can make 6 gold and 40 silver for every 1000 bottles sold." 

Zhen Deqiang did the math again with his fingers and after a long while, he finally nodded. "It seems to make sense. Hahahaha, is this not the road to riches? Deity Robber, how much have you made?" 

Deity Robber immediately replied, "Guild Leader, I've just started out. I haven't made a lot." 

Zhen Dejun replied, "If that is really the case, then the more capital we have, the more we make!" 

His eyes lit up and he turned to Zhen Deqiang. "Brother, why don't I stay here and monitor Deity Robber to see if he's speaking the truth." 

"We shall do it together!" Zhen Deqiang was excited as well. 

After a while, the aunties returned and Deity Robber collected the gold. After checking the numbers, he declared, "We made a profit!" 

Zhen Deqiang said, "Quickly go and restock." 

Deity Robber nodded, bought a travel ticket, and disappeared. A few minutes later, he was back, distributing potions and sending the aunties on their way. 

This time it was Zhen Deqiang, Zhen Dejun, and Deity Robber waiting at the Chaos Temple. 

Tianfeng City was one of the major cities in the region and there were countless players around. There was an exceedingly large demand for low-level potions and within half an hour, the group of aunties were done with the task and brought the gold back to the Chaos Temple. 

Zhen Deqiang verified the profits and laughed, saying, "There really are some dumb people out in the world!" 

Truthfully, he had amassed a large amount of gold coins and had on him more than 300 coins. If he were to use it to peddle potions, he would make a large profit! 

"Deity Robber, you've done well! Hahahaha, keep up the good work!" 

Zhen Deqiang patted Deity Robber on the shoulder. He decided for now that he was not going to be leveling up and would just stay in the Chaos Temple to make gold. 

Zhen Dejun had the same idea. 

Therefore, Zhen Deqiang, Zhen Dejun, and Deity Robber became the Trio of Fools in Tianfeng City's Chaos Temple. They sat together, welcoming the aunties, chuckling dumbly, sending the aunties away, laughing dumbly. This drew the attention of many players who were passing by, causing them to be ridiculed. 

This current period could be said to be the best time to be selling potions. In a while longer, the value of gold would go down, or players would be able to brew their own potions. By then, it would no longer be possible to carry out this scheme. Li Hanqiang was well aware of that and therefore spent his time nearby the Space-Time Wormhole. 

He even made contact with Dark Redemption, Fanning Knight, and Fiery Blade Sage. 

Dark Redemption had also been recruited into the potion selling ring. However, he was currently fighting a Level 20 Clone and could not split his attention. He sent a Cleric named Little Liuzi to get some stock. 

As for Fanning Knight and Fiery Blade Sage, they were in dire straits. They had been spawn camped by people from the Emperor's Rich Guild until they were now only at Level 1 and their underlings had all ran away. Both of them no longer dared to stay in Tianfeng City and were now wandering the outskirts. They were not able to find a Chaos Temple in short notice. Even though they had the intention to be potion peddlers, their capabilities were limited. 

In this way, Li Hanqiang spent a very boring day. It was well into the afternoon when Sister Pomengranate and the other aunties could no longer take it as they clamored to be allowed to stop work, signaling the end of the day for Zhen Deqiang and the others. 

At 8pm, Li Hanqiang visited the livestream platform and collected his free "Bird's Eggs" to give to Lin Banyue. 

Perhaps out of fear of leaking the inbox of her Chaotic City, Lin Banyue was now a completely chatting livestreamer. Her livestream background was a still of the Space-Time Wormhole and she spoke about her experiences and insights into the game. It was neither boring nor entertaining. 

However, she paid special attention to the [Chaotic City Lord Challenge] and [Chaotic Dominance] mentioned in the system's message. She gave a lot of hypotheses but Li Hanqiang did not feel any shred of interest. He stayed on her stream for ten more minutes before leaving, logging back into Endless World. 

Looking at his inventory space, Li Hanqiang felt surprised. He currently had 931 gold coins! 

"This is true power. It is so lonely to be invincible!" Li Hanqiang said to himself in self-aggrandizement. 

Following that, he immediately spent 900 gold coins to buy nine Basic Arrow Tower Construction Blueprints. 

Using gold coins to upgrade the Chaos' Core? No way. Towers were king. 

He had made the decision to pull an all-nighter tonight. He did not hope to make it to the leaderboards of the Gold Coin Challenge. However, he did hope to survive a few more waves of monsters attacking the city. 

Very quickly, Li Hanqiang had placed down nine Basic Arrow Towers on the Chaotic Stone Slabs. He even pulled a ten gremlin team from the Cave Dwelling in Gremlin's Mountain to let them see something miraculous. 

Of the ten gremlin team, three of them were Green Gremlins pushing wheelbarrows around and the other seven were doing somersaults, horsing around like acrobats. 

Li Hanquang had his back towards them and felt full of confidence. He yelled out, "Get some!" and immediately began to change the towers.
