Los Angeles Detective

Chapter 34: hunt down

  Chapter 34 Hunting

Half an hour later, Luke and David arrived near Steven's house.

With an arrest warrant, they will no longer be **** and call the surrounding patrol police to come over for support.

David, a high-ranking police officer, acted as interim commander. He and Luke were in charge of the front door, and two patrolmen guarded the back door.

In order not to startle the snake, Luke did not wear body armor.

Everything was ready, everyone sneaked into Steven's yard.

David hid on the right side of the door, Luke stepped forward and called the door, "Boom..."

no respond.

   "Boom..."

   Still no response.

Luke tentatively said, "Steven, I know you're home."

   Still no response.

David took out the walkie-talkie and asked, "Is there any movement at the back door?"

The patrolman in the backyard responded, "No, there is nothing unusual."

"Ready to act." David made a gesture to break into the door.

The next moment, he lifted his foot and kicked the wooden door, "Bang!"

   "lapd!"

   "Raise your hands!"

There was no one in the living room, and David made a gesture to search forward.

Luke and others cooperated with each other and conducted cross-checks one after the other.

"Safety."

"Safety."

"Safety."

The house is not big, so after searching it quickly, David was a little annoyed, "fuck, that guy ran away. I misread him, and I thought his feelings for his wife were real."

Luke put away his pistol, "It is because he has feelings for his wife that he would do irrational things in anger. If he didn't care about his wife, he wouldn't commit crimes against the wind."

David disagreed, shaking his head and said, "A man who truly loves his wife will not hurt her."

Luke was too lazy to argue, "You lead someone to search the house, and I will report to the captain."

"Are you the detective, or am I the detective?" David complained, but searched the room according to Luke's suggestion.

Luke dialed Susan's voice and video, "Captain, we have arrived at Steven's house. But we didn't find Steven. David is leading people to search the house."

Susan appeared on the other side of the video, "I'm about to contact you, we have some findings on our side.

Susan adjusted the video distance so that Luke could see the others, and continued,

"Receiving a call from the deputy team, Matthew tracked Steven's whereabouts through the surveillance camera.

The monitoring of the police station showed that Steven left yesterday in a lawyer's car, and the monitoring along the way showed that they went near Steven's house.

About half an hour later, the car left Steven's community, but this time it was Steven who drove.

Afterwards, the car stopped for more than ten minutes at Linan Street and Fanny Street on Citi Avenue, then went south along Citi Avenue again, drove out of downtown Los Angeles, and entered Route 73. "

Luke asked, "Route 73, is this guy planning to flee to Mexico? Where is the lawyer? It is not a wise decision to provide a vehicle for the suspect to escape."

Matthew replied, "After the car left Steven's community, I didn't see the lawyer again, and Steven was always driving.

I called the law firm, attorney Dave is not at work today. "

Jenny added, "I went to the technical department to locate Steven and Dave's mobile phones, but the phones were lost and could not be located."

Luke pondered for a moment, "The car stopped for ten minutes on Citi Avenue's Lane Street and Fanny Street, do you know what he's doing?"

"I asked Raymond and Marcus to investigate, and I will notify you as soon as there is news." After Susan finished speaking, she issued a new task, "Now drive to Route 73 to track Steven."

Luke sighed, "There are deserts on both sides of the road, that's a big project."

Matthew reminded, "Attorney Dave drives a Mercedes-Benz S500, and Mercedes-Benz can assist in positioning."

Susan ordered, "Jenny, you go to Mercedes-Benz.

  Luke, you go immediately. "

  …

   In a black Dodge.

David sat in the cab and drove, and glanced at Luke next to him, "Shouldn't you be the one driving?"

"I didn't sleep well last night."

   "Exercise too much?"

Luke shook his head, "It's because I didn't exercise that I couldn't fall asleep."

David smiled, "This is a good thing, it proves that you are still young."

Luke lit a cigarette and took a puff, "Do you think I should be more proactive?"

"My love life is a mess, am I qualified to give you advice? If you want to exercise earlier, you can ask Marcus for advice.

If you want to have a serious relationship, ask your heart. "

"Jingle Bell…"

Luke glanced at the phone and smiled, "Say Marcus, and Marcus is calling."

"Hello."

The phone rang with a rap voice, "Luke, where are you?"

"On the way to Route 73, have you got any results from your investigation on Citi Avenue?"

"Yeah, Steven went to Citibank and got $40,000 out of his account, this guy is richer than me now."

Luke let go of the voice, "Where did he get so much money?"

"He didn't, but the lawyer did. Just a few minutes before he entered the bank, Dave's account transferred him $40,000, seamlessly."

   "Did you find Dave?"

"No, Raymond and the deputy team are investigating Dave's situation, and the captain asked me to support you."

"Then you have to drive faster, don't fall behind."

Luke hung up the phone and said to David, "$40,000 is enough for this guy to get away with it for a while."

David asked back, "What do you think of that caring lawyer? He gave me a car and money. Why don't I have such a good lawyer."

Luke thought for a while, "The lawyer may have gray benefits, but I don't think it is possible to help the suspect escape so obviously, and even post the car and money.

I'm more inclined to say that the lawyer was coerced. "

David didn't have a good impression of the lawyer, and said sarcastically, "I don't know if he regrets taking Steven out of the police station."

Luke shrugged, "I hope you still have a chance to ask."

Driving from the center of Los Angeles to the suburbs, one side is the sea, the other side is the mountain, and then drive along Route 73, with endless Gobi on both sides of the road.

At regular intervals, gas stations or motels can be seen along the roadside. Apart from that, there are not many buildings, and the only plants are cacti and shrubs.

Driving along Highway 73 for more than 40 minutes, Luke received a call from Jenny. Jenny located Dave's Mercedes-Benz through Mercedes-Benz and sent the location to Luke.

Seeing the location of the Mercedes-Benz, Luke couldn't help frowning. The Mercedes-Benz was far away from the road.

Once you deviate from the road, it means unknown and dangerous. To put it bluntly, no one knows if you die on the Gobi.

Luke and the two of them did not dare to enter Gobi rashly. They drove to a nearby gas station and ate a pizza, fried chicken, and instant noodles to fill their stomachs first.

In order to prevent getting lost in the Gobi, the car was filled with gas, and some food and water sources were hoarded.

After waiting for another ten minutes, Marcus also rushed to the gas station.

The three of them were ready to go, and when they were about to leave, Luke's cell phone rang, "Dingling..."

Luke pressed the answer button, "Captain."

Susan's voice came from the phone, "How are you preparing?"

"The three of us have met and are about to enter the Gobi to look for the Mercedes-Benz."

"be safe."

Susan reminded, and added, "In addition, the deputy team made a new discovery. Alisa's mobile phone, clothes, and a modified Taser gun were found in the smoke exhaust pipe of the store's kitchen.

It can be determined that the three cases are the same suspect. "
