Sector eighteen, Imar nine, Astragali city, Seven

So, remember how Lilia reacted to that blob thief trying to pickpocket me? Well, let's say she didn't tune her reactions down like I asked her to.

We arrived at the designated hotel by riding one of the cars. I say car but it was more like a floating bus. We were the only passengers though so it seemed rather suspicious.

I chose where we are going to spend the night from the list we found on the book the governor sent us.

With how diverse the population of Astragali is there is a great variety in the places you can spend the night in. Since Zesionien lodgings are the closest to what a human could use I booked rooms in the best place that specializes in serving the race, a five star hotel so to say.

I looked at other hotels to pass time. Some didn't have beds at all, some were filled with water, some were filled with sand and rocks. There are the cold ones, then there are he humid ones. Some had "absolute soundproof walls" as their selling point. I guess some species would like to use those.

When we arrived to our destination the first thing that caught my mind when we entered from the front door was the receptionist who had a centipede head and wore a black robe that had six arms coming out from the sides. Not insect like arms but flesh and skin arms with three large fingers. The specie he belongs to is called Douda. It might be a bit racist to say this but I can't help but find him creepy. I was no good with the night crawlers we fought on Gorgola so I thing I'm generally not good with insectoids.

Why did such a person work for a Zesionien hotel? He probably had some good backstory but I don't think I've the time.

I showed him the black card and he offered to personally accompany us to room we booked. Apparently, he is the manager of this place.

We took the elevator up to one of the top floors. It contained four luxurious bed rooms, a pool, a bar and several other facilities. We were all surprised to hear the whole floor was reserved for us alone as it was one of the perks you get for owning the black card.

It seemed like a waste since we will barely spend any time here. But then again I'm practically the king of my own planet so I think it's fine for me to spend my nights in such places.

To avoid any accidents happening Lilia chose to stay in a different room than mine. My meeting with the governor was two days from now so it makes sense to want to avoid any literal headaches, at least until we are done with work.

We put our luggage, changed our clothes and went out.

At the entrance the manager greeted us again and asked if we could tell him our plans. That sounded suspicious so I told him we were just going to look around. Well, not that we were doing anything else. It seems that he wanted to advertise for one of the casinos he had good relations with.

"You would surely find something that catches your interest there" he said with great confidence.

Another advice he gave us was to make sure to check if the places we were visiting had some sort of dress code. In case we weren't up to their standards entrance could be denied even if we had the black card with us. At the moment I was wearing my usual casual clothes and Lilia had one of her warrior wear dresses on. Normal people couldn't see Iris so that won't be problem, as for Aley… we probably should do something about his wizard like appearance.

Leaving the hotel behind us we entered the main street. I proposed that we walk around for now. There are too many places we could visit but we couldn't choose. Our hotel was close to the center of the city and there is a lot of movement here.

I have to make the comparison with Rooster again. There are actual roads and side walks here. The air traffic was minimal as the strange structure of the buildings made it near impossible to place airlines between them. The area was crowded but not on the same level as the streets on Rooster.

We still had eyes following us even now. Aside from the usual individuals who were caught in Lilia's Charm iris counted twelve. I was confident we could deal with any smartass that might attempt to steal from us without breaking a sweat so what I was more concerned about would be the other kind of smart asses who would think about trying their luck with my wife. I was about to take her hand to send a massage that she's mine and mine alone, but then what I predicted came true and a wild smartass appeared.

"Are my eyes playing tricks on me? Or is what I'm seeing the truth?"

In front of us some crazy dude just showed out of nowhere and started dancing a strange dance. For reasons I didn't understand the crowd split apart and made way for him.

"A~h, what a beautiful maiden you are! This meeting must be fate! It has to be!"

The guy walking our way was more on the human side. He was about as tall as I'm, had dark skin and shining silver hair. His face was handsome, almost as if it was painted on just like that of Aley. The horns on both sides of his head spoke of his Zesionien lineage, however his dark skin said the was related to the founder of Gram city on Rooster.

If I saw a picture of him I would've sworn he's just some shojo manga type of good looking guy, but he was now standing in front of me and is attempting to flirt with… Lilia?

A certain group of girls back on earth would've undoubtedly shipped him with Aley, but we all know it's more normal for a handsome dude to be attracted to the beautiful girl.

"Beautiful lady, what brings you to this world?"

"Eh?" Lilia was at a loss for what to say.

She was about to take a step back when the guy reached out and caught her left hand.

"I must say you are the most beautiful among our brethren that I've met to this day" he spoke in a smooth voice, and Lilia's cheeks were starting to redden.

"Oh~o! A rival character appears!" said Iris as she gave me a side look. A huge grin was surely spreading through her face, but a moment later her eyes went wide.

"I fell in love the moment I saw your golden hair, young lady, may I know your name?"

"Eh? I-I'm Lilia"

"Miss Lilia, would you perhaps grant me the chance of having a dinner with you?"

'Uh, Seven, it might not be the best time to say this but your hair is white again…'

Iris's voice echoed through my head, but I was too pissed to listen. The silver haired guy brought his face close to Lilia's hand and was about to kiss it, and I was preparing to end his life along with everyone standing around.

"Don't you dare…" words came out in a cold voice, but it wasn't mine "don't you dare touch me"

I looked at Lilia and noticed she had different eyes. The glint I usually see in them was gone, her pupils had turned into a dark abyss.

"Eh?" the silver haired Zesionien guy froze in his place. Lilia was looking at him like he was the worst of filth to ever exist. It was a really cold look filled with pure murderous intent, even the spectators watching knew staying close was dangerous and retreated back.

"Um, miss Lilia"

"I SAID" the gauntlet on her left arm equipped itself "DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH ME!!"

Her fist connected with his left cheek. His face warped before slamming into the ground. A great shockwave spread through the streets and nearby building and for a second the few people nearby bounced up.

Even though his head was buried into concrete -or whatever the sidewalks are made of- it still retained its shape. The guy was out cold, however, Lilia didn't seem to be done with him yet.

"I AM…" she leaned a little forward and raised her leg "ALREADY MARRIED!!!!" then kicked him in the guts. The guy was sent flying until he smashed into some building somewhere a few thousand feet away.
