As Seven and Lilia were relaxing the door suddenly opened. The one coming in was Ginger, a Herara me with average built and fur of a bluish purple color. in his hands he held a small silver package the size of a shoebox.

"G! What brings you here today?" Seven asked cheerfully, waving his hand before getting up.

Ginger stared at them for a few silent seconds then his nose began to twitch. He looked at Seven, at Lilia, then at the floor near the bed. He let out a sigh and walked over to the office at the edge of the room.

"Lord Seven, I remember advising you to have your private meetings with the lady in your bedroom"

"….this is my bedroom"

"This is your office, I remember you were the one choosing it" Ginger tapped the desk twice and a small rectangular half transparent window appeared. He went on as be selected a few options listed on it "this is a room where important guests would come to have an audience with you. You should always make sure it's clean and devoid of all …. strange odors"

Following the sound of the window closing a small square formed on the floor as green lines of light glowed at its edges. It split in the middle and each part retracted into the opposite side and two small grey discs came out hovering a short distance from the floor.

Lilia descended from the bed. The moment her feet touched the floor it started to slowly raise, disappearing into the ceiling before the opening that was there closed. The curtain she changed behind was also retracted into the nearest wall along with the small closet with the clothes Seven indented on making her wear.

One of the small discs moved to a particular spot of the room and started spraying it with something. The other one floated around while releasing some kind of vapor.

Herara have strong senses. The moment he entered the room Ginger smelled the s.e.m.e.n that stained the floor a few hours ago. Although seven had already whipped it with some tissue, its odor still remains. Ginger feared that one of those days someone else would notice and use it as an excuse to throw some disrespectful comments at their lord. Well, he didn't really care about Seven in particular, but he is the planet's ruler and his people's representative, a strong and flawless image is a priority to keep the integrity of a nation. Well, a human being flawless was a lot to ask. At the very least he wanted him to abide by the sanitary conditions he established for work environment.

"Well, it's our long awaited day off" Seven walked to his chair behind the large desk "what's so important that had you leave your bed this early?"

Unlike Seven who had years of allnighters in front of a screen and the hundred centuries nap he took beside the Verta energy that theoretically enables him to go twenty four seven, Ginger was a normal flesh and blood creature and he was practically the only moderator between Seven and the rest of the population.

After three months of continues torture he finally got his rest, he planned to sleep the entire day but from the looks of it something important came up and had him moving. it probably have to do with the package he brought along.

"We got a visitors few minutes ago, from Imar nine" Ginger replied "he brought you a present from one of the big shots in Astragali"

"Astragali?"

"The planet's capital, I assume you've never been there?"

"Well, we were on our way…" and then all of this happened.

"Astragali is known as the biggest entertainment center in this part of the known universe" Lilia explained "it's the main destination for many travelers"

"And has a really bad reputation too" Ginger opened the box, taking out a small card "a lot of gambling goes on there, Both legal and illegal"

"A gambling themed planet?" Seven held his right hand to his chin as he mumbled.

"The planet itself is pretty tame, unlike what you could find in the fifteenth sector. Astragali is the only place that stands out so most travelers never give the rest any mind"

"So they want me to come over and bet every penny I have so they could take control over Gorgola?"

"I….doubt that" Ginger handed the card to Seven "if I had to make a guess they would aim for investment contracts to let you drop your guard, after which they would try to take over in an indirect manner"

It was about the size of credit card, had a golden symbol that resembled an ox head on a black surface.

"And what is this?" Seven asked.

"It's a membership card" Ginger replied "and a really high ranked one at that. The black ones allow the owner entry to every club in the city with in addition to other privileges"

"What's else in the box?"

"Hmm… they sent a Zesionien book, those are usually distributed at the port"

From his experience Ginger showcased what the device is made for. It had the basic functions found in all models, a map of the city listing every establishment open to foreigners and most importantly a wallet that holds the city's own currency.

"They don't use the usual IU -intergalactic unit- over there?"

"it's a way to keep track of the gambling and collect taxes in a more efficient way. The use of IU is strictly prohibited so you would have to convert a certain amount before you enter the city"

"That makes sense" Seven picked up the last item in the box "and this?" it was a white envelope, same as the generic item delivered by

"A hand written letter" Ginger shrugged his shoulders "it has your name on it so it's probably an official invitation"

"Hmm…" Seven looked at the small rectangular shaped folded paper. He passed it to Ginger who opened it and took a look inside.

"It's from the…" he posed for a few seconds, his eyes growing wider "it's from the governor himself!" A few seconds were essential for him to get his calm back, he filled his lungs with air then read the short letter carefully in a load voice for the other two to hear

...

To Seven, lord of planet Gorgola and leader of the Verta clan

First of all I want to offer my congratulations on the successful establishment of your position among the ranks of intergalactic union. It is such a rare case for newly discovered planets to take that step with little to no conflict occurring in the process.

I'm sure your great leadership skills are the reason behind those achievements. With that in mind it would be an honor if you would consider accepting my invitation to discuss the future relationship between Imar nine and Gorgola.

Thawr Gram Astragali, Governor of planet Imar nine.

...

'…. I got a letter fro the president?' maybe because he still has yet to deal with the politics that come with the position she put himself in, Seven was as surprised as the other two.

"from the context of the letter, I think he wants to win your favor now before your influence grow" Lilia came to this conclusion after rereading the letter another time. She held the belief that Seven would most likely become a big figure in in the known universe, no matter where he goes his presence always leaves a big impact. For the better or for the worse.

"What do you think?" Seven asked.

"Well, he didn't specify the date so…" Ginger looked at the letter Lilia returned to him "I don't think it's a priority, but it would be rude to keep him waiting for too long"

"So I can't refuse?"

"of course not! This is a good priority to make allies"

"allies… huh…"

They were still at the very start of the game. They've just recently finished building the first settlement, they didn't even give it a name yet, Seven didn't understand why someone so far ahead would extend a hand to him?

"Thawr Gram Astragali…" the name sounds familiar, but he couldn't tell where he heard it from. Whoever this man-women-alien they probably had some ulterior for inviting them. Nothing good comes out of gambling cities, well, nothing good comes out from gambling itself.

"The setting is a little overused"

"…What?"

"Nothing..." Seven sighed as he read the letter himself. It was written in Zesionien so he could make out what it said for the most part. Were they trying to be considerate when writing this? They probably had someone among them who knew the language.

'It would be convenient if we had someone who could do that…'

Learning how to read and write a different language is quite hard and takes a lot of dedication and time. Although the translation ch.i.p.s implanted in their bodies allow for nearly perfect, instant speech translation, methods that help with written text are limited or outright illegal. Knowing how to read multiple languages was a skill highly valued all around the universe, enough to secure a stable position in any government.

There were among the clan members who learned one or two during their years in space, but they were pirates, you can't expect them to deal with official doc.u.ments. Ginger was an different case, the female employees were capable but slow learners.

Deals and contracts wont always be signed in Zesionien, he needed to find someone who could help when the need arises.

"G, make the call" Seven declared "we're going to Imar"
