Last Man On Earth When There Is No Earth ?

"… You can't get enough of this view don't you think?"

Sitting atop a great boulder a man let out a sigh of admiration. The shapes were everywhere, a kid staking cubes might have done a better job planning the structures that covered this land. However, that mess in itself was one of the reasons such magnificent display of lights was possible in the first place. Even under the influence of the planet's great moon itself, the city still stood out as the most beautiful sight one could witness when looking around.

"You know, I really do love the city…" bathing in the moonlight the man closed his eyes. The city itself painted a breathtaking scenery, but that can't be said for the barren lands surrounding it's walls. Until the green starts showing near the forests a great distance away nothing but rocks and sand covered those lands. Some might find it amusing to look at, but for those who's work had them come all the way here, nothing really pleasant came to mind.

"spare me your nonsense, can we get this done with already?" a voice came from behind the man "I got a life, you know?" the voice was rough on the ears, but it's owner didn't look the part. Her face was simply distorted with anger as she slapped a box about half her size.

"I like to take a look whenever we come here, you should know that by now" The man said, descending the boulder he was sitting on.

"Get the job done and look all you want, not gonna wait for you though" his companion replied "I'm taking the gag off"

The woman kicked the box, flipping it over. The lid fell off and what was inside spilled out.

The creature was wrapped with ropes. It was hard to tell without a light, but it's skin was pink in color, had two arms and two legs, and it's most distinguished feature was pointy skin head.

Nothing that resembled clothes was on its back, the dirt drained its warmth and drank the tears that drenched its face as it.

"Kick him first, don't wont to hear any screaming"

"Alright!"

"ughmmm!!!"

it was just a small tap on, but the pink guy's muffled screams made it seem like he was shot in the abdomen. When he settled, unable to breath the right way, the woman pressed on her wrist and the gag wrapped around his mouth fell off with a snap.

"So, any final words?" Said the man, crouching down beside his captive.

"Pl…please….I can…I will…"

"None huh" not interested in the least he stood up and turned his back.

"WAIT! I CAN…cough!! I can do it!!!I WILL PAY!! I JUST NEED SOME T-" before he could finish pleading his voice was replaced by a cracking then splashing sound, resembling an egg falling on the floor.

The woman had stepped on the captive's head, flattening it under her soles.

"… you could've-"

"Not gonna spend second listening to this shit! Just clean up already!"

"okay okay! I get it already!" The man raised his feet a little and stumped the ground. Following a little rumble the headless corpse disappeared into a hole.

The man sighed as he peered into the hole

"This sickens me each time"

"Don't pity him" the woman said "that's what happens when you play with money you don't have"

She turned her back and walked away. The man stared into the dark hole for a few seconds then stood up.

"By the way, don't tell me the reason you are in such a hurry is…" He stumped the ground once more and the hole disappeared

"I met this one on the street last night, gonna see what he's got tonight"

"Uwah… you say you wonna settle yet you never stop playing around"

"Not my fault that they all suck"

"well, not my problem " the man shrugged his shoulders then scratched the base of his right horn.

That's right. The two looked like a man and women, for the most part, but they were no humans. Two sharp, pointed horns came out from the sides of their heads. They were Zesioniens, but something about them was different. Their skin was a dark tone, different from the Zesioniens on the empire's stars.

Leaving no trace of the gruesome scene, the two got on their craft and made their way back into the city, not bothering to look back.
