Japan: A New Age

Beginning of development and its aftermath

In New Year 2020, Makimura is spending the first time in a long time relaxing in her wife's early seedlings, sitting on the couch at home with her daughter dancing.

The dance is watching TV hard, and Makimura and his wife Early Seedlings are talking.

"You've been busy for the last two months or so since that paper, too. I didn't have time to ask for details either. From the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, is Hitachi staying in Gangnam City all the time?" Early seedlings ask.

"Yeah, she goes from home to our college or to Gangnam's office because her parents are in the city.

The proposal for the FR development plan was made a month ago, and the approval of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry was also granted and became official. However, people have already moved and started ordering equipment. Eventually, the assembly of the facility is scheduled to take place within the factory of Shilling Heavy Industries, and some equipment is beginning to be brought in.

As for the design, the basics are over and the overall structure is revealed. It turns out that there are no newer and needier equipment to develop than I thought, and the period to completion is likely to be up front. The design team is proceeding with three people from the university and five from the private sector, mainly Professor Yamamura.

The budget is that it was framed for 2 billion yen, but the current status quo is expected to be sufficient. When it comes to a power plant of 100,000 kW, the most compact is that of gas power, but when you put it in even the accessory equipment, it will be about 10 m high on a 30mx30m lot, which costs about 8 to 10 billion yen. This is what we're planning to do now: put it on a steel frame with a width of 5m and a length of 10m, at a level that also fits within 5m in height, and if you produce it in mass, it will fit about 1 billion yen. "

"It just didn't seem like it could have been put on the truck by now," Premature seedlings return to Pastoral Answers.

"Yeah, but Professor Yamamura's story is that the size now is for prototypes, and the mass production type seems to be much smaller. More importantly, fuel is just water. In the end, I decided to electrolyze the water internally and generate it, so that's what happened. You're just going to soften up the tap water."

"How's the patent application going?

"Yeah, we've already filed, and it looks like the public will be at the beginning of New Year's Eve. The applicant eventually asked me and Shunhei-kun, as well as the university side, to join Dr. Yamado and Dr. Yamamura. The four of them and the Gangnam University Technology Development Corporation, which is now preparing to be established, will sign a contract."

"Glad to hear it. Instead of patent royalties, money comes down from that public company every month, right?

"Yeah, there is income to the public company from each patent or technology and, depending on the developer's contribution, benefits in a form close to salary. By the summer of this year, we'll start earning patent fees for production, so I think we'll be paying about triple by now next year."

"3x! Happy!"

"But the contribution of this Fusion Reactor invention is because Shunhei is about twice as good as I am. He's amazing. And with this extension of technology, the aim of developing a super battery, so to speak, a can of electrons, was almost as well. As a destination for oil energy, there is also electricity generation, but there is also a large amount of fuel for cars, etc. As long as you have a high performance battery, you can use cheap power for passenger cars and transportation.

Plus, in this case, you're going to need a lot of motors, but Shunhei told me that a motor full of wires is too inefficient right now. The theoretical aspect of the new motor is made of soda, and now mechanical engineering professors Sano and Mizutani and graduate students are gathered to try the actual machine. This is also going to take shape by the end of the year.

In the future, it seems like a policy not to use as much copper as possible and to use aluminum. Anyway, aluminum has a lot of resources, but it consumes a lot of electricity, so it was more expensive, but it will be significantly cheaper in the future. These patents show that the battery has already made an application, and the motor is mostly made. As for the battery, I'm in the applicant too, so you can count on it. In this regard, Junpei, you are the first contributor and everyone is in. "

"By the way, Sohei, what happened to your father's story?

"Yohei said that the company's understanding of the project participation was early, but it took a little while to take over the work she had quite a bit. I was in the FR plan at first, but now you're doing the motor. Sounds like you and Shunhei are having fun.

Hi, I think I'm in charge of production at your father's company. Especially the 30-200 kW class used for automobiles.

Your mother also left the hospital where she worked in terms of security and is now at home. I heard from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Shibori Heavy Industries, Yamado Sensei, etc. to the president of the company, and your father seems to have received a lot of salary increases. I guess I have that, too. Also, they're still living in the same house right now, but if the world finds out a little more about you, they'll need to move in and move over to a house that's a little more guardable. "

"By the way, Shunhei, in what way are you related to college after all?

"Yeah, Shunhei, you basically know if there's even literature, etc., and if you can read it, you understand all kinds of information, theories faster than listening to classes, right? So, basically, I keep it to a minimum to go out to class and have teachers and doctor-course graduates join the discussion on a theme-by-theme basis.

In doing so, I can convey information about the literature, etc., but this discussion with Shunhei is very effective. In a story that's nothing, he suggests a lot of ideas, but this is what makes a candle fall out of your eyes, 'Oh, yeah. That's how I think about it' continuously.

So, “Shunping Seminar" is now in school, and this is what I'm calling it, but it's hard to wait for that order. In fact, as things stand in school, it's just reason, but there's a great number of that coming out of our school this year. I'll have a breakthrough paper, too. In this case, there are some things that are not good to give out a little soon, and a specialist from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry comes and resides and classifies them. As such, those things that cannot be announced immediately naturally lead to big money because of the seeds of a large industry, so there seems to be no particular dissatisfaction on the part of those who will be waiting.

In addition to the local Yamamoto teacher, the attorney has been asked to come to our university full-time. "

"Something's going on. But I'm glad it's a good thing!

Just after the TV show I was watching the dance, the dance said, "Paba, let's go somewhere".

"Right. Today, the Ein Mall is open, so let's go. Let's get ready."

It had been a long time since I had been a family and a pastoral family going out in a car.

On August 10, Nakane, Minister of Economy and Trade, begins his conversation at the seat of the Cabinet. This matter is the result of close discussions with Prime Minister Ayama yesterday for about two hours.

"Hey, there's something I need to tell you.

There are projects currently under development with subsidies from our provinces. This is the Fusion Reactor project, abbreviated as the FR plan, which we launched last November, and, as the name suggests, we're going to develop a nuclear fusion generator. The scale is 100,000 kW, which means that anything less than this has come to this scale because it is difficult in principle, but if you supply hydrogen as fuel, so to speak, you can take out electricity directly.

Hydrogen means that tap water should be connected because it electrolyzes tap water. It does not produce any radioactivity, is it the reaction temperature, the operating temperature, below 500°C, the size is about 5m wide, 10m long, 5m high, they say. Development spending, which takes the 2 billion frame, is now expected to end in about 1.8 billion. This framework applies those of the subsidy scheme for the development of new technologies.

The development is going well, and in a month's time, it is expected that we will go for a test run. "

"Yeah, nuclear fusion plant! I'm done! Use hydrogen, not 2 or 3 deuterium! Take out the power directly! What the hell, that!" Castle field, the technology-resistant Minister of Education, Science and Technology, shouts.

"Yeah, when I first heard it, too, the story was too good to believe. But you must be very sure when you hear a lot about it. But let us consider it, and this isn't all good.

Think about it.

This 100,000 kW device can definitely be mass-produced within a billion yen. The selling price will go up a bit though. Usually it's 10 billion dollars a voice for oil and gas power. Besides, fuel is almost just coming. Even a million kW won't cost you 10 billion. They say the fuel cost is cheap, but it's not going to be a battle because it's that rebellious nuclear power station for a re-run, 350 billion at 1.1 million kW.

Now, the conventional power generation device is definitely a scrap. So all of the power generation facilities at the power company have zero asset value. Because of this, electricity companies need to lose all of their power generation facilities, so they are hit by huge asset cuts. This adds up to roughly five trillion yen for electricity companies across the country. This amount, unfortunately, is beyond the strength of the electricity company, so some remedy is needed.

Furthermore, it is not limited to electricity companies. From current cars to factory facilities, almost all facilities assume current electricity costs ranging from 10 to 20 yen/kWh. In addition, companies, people who manufacture, maintain, etc. electricity generators, fuel companies, and people lose their jobs.

Tomorrow, power and shares in these companies will crash as soon as you announce.

That's not all.

In fact, it was Gangnam University in the region that established this theory, but by the way, the equipment that is being completed is assembled on the campus of Shilling Heavy Industries in Gangnam City. The development of super batteries and super motors is under way, mainly at Gangnam University, and this is close to completion. Batteries can be extremely compact with large volumes that break previous common sense. It weighs 10 kG and has a capacity of 1000 kWh and a price of about 100,000 yen.

This means that when used on a car, it can run for more than 10 hours with the highest output once charged. Power car cry is batteries and motors, right? The motor isn't as groundbreaking as the battery, but it means using more aluminum instead of copper, about half the size of the conventional, and weighing about 1/3. Aluminum is expensive there so far, but when the power drops dramatically, it won't be the same as iron. It has the most resources.

What are you trying to say, we're just going to have to make it an electric car!

That doesn't change the chassis or anything, but the company that was building the engine follows the same fate as the company that was building the electricity generator. Perhaps the cost of producing a car is the same as a gasoline engine car, it will be cheaper, and more importantly, the cost of fuel will be about 1/10 of that of petrol, etc. They need to bring the battery charge to the factory, so the battery will be leased and somewhere like the gas station right now, and they'll have it replaced.

This much development is expected to be completed by the end of the year. We have an amazing development. Good for you! It's not going to happen.

But as you can see, this is about a chance for history to begin in our country.

All current power generation devices will be disposed of within five years in the case of our country and turned into this method. There are no exceptions to the five primary units in operation or those in suspension, are there? Also, all cars are the same as generators, and in the near future, probably all will be replaced by electric cars within 3 years. You can also say that factory equipment is familiar.

Perhaps if we follow economic principles, rather than we should renew it in the last five years or so, we will have to do so, but we believe that these facilities, in our country only, exceed 50 trillion yen. In other words, demand of 50 trillion yen suddenly appears in five years as a private demand. Naturally, this is direct demand, so it is estimated that it will have different ripple effects and about double. Meanwhile, imports of fossil fuels currently being imported by our country will amount to more than 15 trillion yen in a year.

This is about 8 trillion yen for electricity alone, but if we stop using oil for transportation equipment instead of electric drives, as I said, imports of fossil fuels will go from the current 15 trillion yen to 2-3 trillion yen.

That is, in about five years a demand of 100 trillion yen will be created, and furthermore, the money that was out abroad as a fuel cost will be reduced by 12-13 trillion yen. Our country has nothing but happiness or misfortune or money. So banks need the private sector at 100 trillion or 200 trillion, and I'll lend it to you if it's obviously beneficial. Banks nowadays have a funny thing about wanting to buy government bonds because no one borrows money from them. Without a doubt, our country's economy will be amazing in the next five years.

Also, if you look at this internationally, you won't have a hand in not taking advantage of this awesome advantage.

We need to sharpen our wisdom on how our government will respond in the future. "

So Prime Minister Ayama said, "Gentlemen, as you asked. This matter needs to show that the government is taking full measures when there is an announcement. So as soon as I make sure the device works, I call on all the people from me.

Nakane, do you mean that we can confirm at about the end of August with our current plans? "Nakane answers to ask.

"Yes, that's what I hear"

"OK, September 10th. In a month from now, I will announce my response as a nation to this invention, to the significance of development and its enormous impact, and to the people that I want.

All relevant ministers, such as the Ministry of Finance, General Affairs, Literature, Science and Technology, and the Economic Planning Agency, are invited to compile countermeasures in each ministry. Of course, the amount of information on this is preceded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, which is in charge of development, so I will use Yamamoto, the Under-Secretary of State for the time being, as my point of contact, so please gather and discuss it before proceeding. "

The prime minister said, then looked over at the attendees.

"Today's story will be about extremely important insider trading information.

Be prepared to be charged if today's information is used to gain personal gain from trading in shares, etc. Moreover, this is extremely important information in terms of national interests. I ask that this secret be kept strictly. I will instruct the Public Safety Office to monitor this matter from me. "

After the Cabinet meeting, Minister Nakane was summoned to the Prime Minister along with Secretary Fukuyama.

"By the way, that Yoshikawa Shunhei is the key to all kinds of development at Gangnam University this time, right?

Nakane answers the Prime Minister's words. "Yes, I seem to be showing my face at various seminars in college. It seems to be called the" Shunping Seminar "within the school, but it seems to work great when he adds it.

In no time, it seems that the cases that have been blocked so far have been resolved, or that the normal technical discussion should be the idea of groundbreaking improvements, leading to unexpected by-productive inventions, etc. This doesn't necessarily seem to be only your idea, but a lot of ideas from attendees, but that seems to come about as a result.

Dr. Yamado said, 'Catalyst' and you seem to have noticed it early.

In addition to the one person who has been resident for a long time because the content is too important and the timing of the announcement is so important, two people have been resident from our province to make adjustments around it. There are now three lawyers residing at Gangnam University and 21 patent applications are under way. Half of these are the notions that they are worth the like of light emitting diodes.

Speaking of which, it seems that the university will also take the approval of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Culture to establish the "Gangnam University Technology Development Corporation" to manage the patent relationship. "

"Quite well, college is handy, too. But how much is the patent fee for these things," said Secretary Fukuyama.

"You seem to have a lot of nuclear fusion power in particular. They seem to think of it as equipment and power usage, but they all seem to think per kW.

The equipment is worth 1,000 yen per kW for domestic use, 0.1 yen for electricity, and twice as much for overseas use. "The secretary of state differs even though Nakane says so.

"Oh, isn't that a little too cheap?

"It's cheap when it comes to unit prices. But maybe it's all going to be this way, both domestically and abroad. Our country's electricity generation capacity is roughly 200 million kW, but it will probably double soon. In that case, it's 1000 yen/times 400 million kW, so it's 400 billion yen, 100 billion yen because the power is 1 trillion kW a year. There is probably 10 times more demand in the world than in Japan, so it's 4 trillion yen and 1 trillion yen respectively.

How about it. Is it cheap? "Nakane said.

"Yes!" exclaims the Prime Minister, the Secretary of State, both of them.

"This can't be personal income, can it?" and the Secretary of State.

"Um, Gangnam University thought well. Will the expenses of the National University be borne by Gangnam University? Ha ha" the prime minister jokes and says.

Then the prime minister turns back to his serious face and

"By the way, Sohei, you are a treasure of our country. Well done. You were born in Japan.

Perhaps by the end of the year, it will be revealed that he is at the heart of these moves. The security system needs to be put in place as soon as possible. Before I make my announcement, I want to have a complete system in place. Mr. Fukuyama, can you do this for me? "

"Okay. Your parents, of course, will let you build a security system, including close involvement. Even early next week, for the moment, we will put in place a system of shady guard. Then, we'll have to think about your whereabouts, etc. at Gangnam University," said Secretary of State.

"This matter is the company house of" Gangnam University Technology Development Corporation, "so why don't we build a country on the university campus for the time being and lend it even on lease?

Because now it seems to be struggling with how to tighten international students out of the seminar, "said Minister Nakane.

"But one building, even so, would take a year to do. It's important to know what to do until then. That's all, if there's an important move now," replies the secretary of state, even though the prime minister says.

"Yes, I understand. Let's hold the nearby building."

"Do so. Anyway, this is the most important project in our country today. Among other things, if anything happens to you, you won't be able to take it back," the Prime Minister sums up.
