After the end of 2nd period, she was heading to the administration department of the school to settle the fees. She was with her friends. They were talking about her trip and this made her feel less awkward about the way she was dressed. She was walking when she noticed a guy staring at her. The guy was not handsome but he looked a bit old, he seemed like some 18 year old guy who was a repeater. He was a bit fat but not enough to be called a fatso.

She was beautiful and had a cheerful personality. She had many pursuers but she knew that they didn't a dam about her, they were only after her because she was beautiful. Those guys just wanted to have her as some trophy for boasting in front of others. But this guy, his gaze was different. His gaze gave her a warm feeling. It was as if she felt good while he looked at her.

She may have acted like she didn't know it but every boy she saw would be eyeing her whole body from head to toe. But this was just staring at her eyes as if he didn't have any perverted thoughts about her. She like that thing about his gaze. She liked that he might be the first guy who didn't have any perverted thoughts about her.

She turned around to have a second look at his face. She saw that he had also turned around at was still looking at her with those eyes. She hurriedly turned her head away and blushed.

" What happened , pallavi ? Do you have a fever ? Wanna go home ? " one of her friends asked.

" No , I am alright. " she didn't know why she had blushed. The only thing that came to her mind was, ' Beware ! Stay away from the boy. '

She stopped at the door of the classroom in front of her, she had noticed a friend of hers from middle school. They were chatting when she looked at the boy's direction. He was returning after drinking water. But his gaze was at the clouds in the sky. He eyes seemed lonely, sad and distant. It was as if the earlier gaze was light and this was dark. ' Why is he sad? I wanna see him happy. ',she thought.

She realized what she just thought and began to blush again. She then proceeded to the administration department of the school and settled her fees before going back to her class.

She felt like her heart skipped a beat. Ever since she first thought about him. She would be happy whenever she saw him. She felt happy when she noticed his gaze. Today was the last exam of 12th garde. She knew that she might not have a chance to see him again. So she decided to talk with jasmine who was a friend of his and walk home with him. Even though it was not just two of them, she still felt happy. She listened to their conversation and used to smile time and again. She would secretly steal glances at him.

When he invited the his friends but not her, she felt a bit sad. She was disappointed that she may have thought too much of it. She didn't even know if he liked her. But when he asked her to come too. She was elated. She said she would come with a straight face and turned her face away as she was blushing.

She went home and used up all her time till now to find a good dress. She came a bit early but she found out that Shuvam had already arrived. Jasmine had called her. She asked the server to lead her to the room. She entered the room and frowned while seeing Shuvam smoking hookah. ' It is so bad for one's health. Why is he doing that ? '

She sat down. She asked for a smoke too. She just wanted to make the environment a bit less awkward by saying something. He straight up rejected. She asked why. He went on about ' damages one's health ' crap which left her speechless and a bit angry. She was already worried that they won't be seeing each other from now and this guy was saying stupid things. She used a cold tone to ask why he cared if her health go bad. She was sure in her heart that he wouldn't be able answer the question.

But she heard his words, she was happy. She was so happy that she barely controlled herself from jumping up and down in joy. She maintained a straight face and a cold expression. She was lost on what to do. If it was any other guy, she would have slapped him, rejected him and went home already. But this was ' him ', this guy was her ' him ' whom she secretly watched for nearly two years and she was sure he was doing the same.

The next words that came out Shuvam's mouth shocked her.

" I am sorry. I know you hate me or at least you don't like me at all but I couldn't stop myself from saying it. "

She went ahead and stood in front of him and slapped him. She exerted a small force so the slap didn't actually hurt.

When he got this slap that didn't hurt, Shuvam felt despair. He knew that his one percent chances of her liking him had vanished. She would reject him and disdain him.

" You idiot ! How could you say that ? ",she said while tears rolling down her face.

Shuvam looked at her and hugged her. He looked at her eyes and said, " Don't cry. Please. It hurts to see you cry. " He said it and wiped her tears with his hands. Both of them were hugging when the room opened and all of the remaining members of the ' gang ' came in with grins on their faces.

" Yoo-hoo what's going on lovebirds ? ", said jasmine with the same wide grin as everyone else.

Both Shuvam and pallavi separated at lightning speed and ignored Jasmine's answer. She had always known pallavi's emotions about Shuvam but she knew that this guy was really dumb when it came to these things. But she found out he liked her too she was really happy for pallavi and Shuvam.

Shuvam hurriedly pressed the bell used to call the server and told his friends to sit and order. Since everyone knew about them pallavi took the initiative and sat beside Shuvam and held his hand.

Seeing such a gorgeous face sitting next to their friend, the boys couldn't help but feel jealous and decided in their heart that they would find a gorgeous girlfriend too. They ordered another 2 hookahs and had the flavour replaced in the one that was already there. All of them except pallavi and Shuvam smoked the hookah. Shuvam didn't allow pallavi to smoke and pallavi didn't allow him to do so too. They ordered apple cider for the girls and tuborg for the boys. The couple still drank soft drinks and didn't drink any sorts of alcohol.

They had ordered various dishes such as roasted peanuts to go with the beer, mo:mo , chicken fried rice, etc. The varieties of dishes were finished by them and they were preparing to leave when Shuvam stopped them and said, " You assholes only know how to eat, I still haven't told you the thing I wanted to tell you. "

" oh, sorry. ", one said.

" Shoot ! ",another said.

Shuvam sighed and continued," You guys know that I will be doing bachelor's in game development right ? "

" yeah. ",they spoke in unison. Shuvam was shocked to know that even pallavi knew what he wanted to do in the future and secretly decided in his heart to know everything about his girl.

" Well, I sold my game idea to a game studio and made some cash. "

" How much ? "

" Around 2.5 millions "

Everyone widened their eyes, they couldn't believe what he just said. 2.5 million. Selling an idea for 2.5 million. They were happy for him and jasmine and sneha were happy for him and pallavi as they knew that this couple was not just messing around, they were genuinely in love. I mean who would go around watching each other secretly for about 2 years and not saying anything.

" Whatever let's go home or my mom is going to kill me. ", Karan said and walked out of the room.

All of them were really happy for Shuvam. They knew that his career was the most painstaking one among all of them and he would have to face the most problems. But listening to what he said just now they became less worried.
