Chapter 23:Mech wars

" I'm in love. "

Alisha grew dispirited but still asked, " Who is she ? Can I see her ? "

" Her name's Pallavi . Here… ",Shuvam said and showed her a picture of Pallavi on his phone.

Alisha was in daze when she saw the photo. Not because of Pallavi's beauty but because this was the girl that died a few months ago in a hit and run case. Alisha had listened to the news and still remembered how the girl looked.

" Her?? ",she understood. She understood everything. The reason for Shuvam's coldness. Him not talking to others. Everything.

" Hmmm. Remember the hit and run case a few months ago in which a girl died. It was her. ", Shuvam said with a pained smile.

" You.. You still ..? "

" Hmmm… "

" Hope we can be good friends in the future. ", said Alisha and walked away.

" OK. ", Shuvam said in a low sound but Alisha heard it and smiled while going away.

Shuvam got ahold of himself and went to the class. The rest of the classes went by pretty smoothly.

After shuvam reached home, he started working on a new game. It was supposed to be an online mecha game. He named the project ' Mecha wars '.

He ordered the 3D modelling bots to make 100 beginner mechas with various designs such as animal-styled, flight capable, etc. He also had them make various parts of mechas such as various legs with different properties, animal legs, insect legs, flight modules ( Wings ), various futuristic design weapons, knifes, arms, etc.

This all would take a day. He then made the game programmer bots to write codes and various physics for the game. He also had some bots make futuristic UI for the game. The server system and one person per account codes were derived from ' Crystal wars '. This would only take about 7-8 hours.

The currency in this game was mech points. The game has two modes. You can play as a fighter or a designer. The fighter account is free whereas the designer account requires a fees of 25$ for people to get started.

Fighters are provided with a beginner bot which can be used to play battles in one of the many available maps. When the fighter win a fight, they get a certain amount of mech points. The matches are divided into 1VS1 , 3VS3 , 5VS5 , 10VS10 and 25VS25 matches.

The battle maps were numerous. Shuvam had the 3D modelling bots make about 2,500 maps. There were all sorts of maps. It included desert environment, Amazon jungle, near a volcano, icy mountains, snow covered forest, rocky mountains, etc.

The music making bots were also instructed to make various sounds and music such as laser gun sounds, bots fighting - related sounds, environment sounds, etc.

The designer accounts were required to pay and first startup fee of 25 dollars. They would then be provided with a beginner kit to make about 5 bots randomly. They would be given two hangars so they needed to make two bots first and sell at least one before making another one. An extra hangar could be bought for 5,000 mech points. The price for each extra hangar would increase by 2,500 mech points. The most hangars available to a person would be 10.

The designers needed to buy mecha pats from the system shop in order to make new bots.

The designers or fighters could buy mech points for 100 mech points per dollar. However the designers had the option to sell mech points to the system at the same rate with 5% tax. So, if some mech designer had struck it rich with his mecha, he or she could get money for it. She/he could get 95 cents for hundred mech points.

Due to the increased number of bots, the game would be finished soon. It was estimated to finish after a work. The week went by as usual. Shuvam played games, went to school and drew sketches.

After the week was finished. Shuvam first of all released a trailer for the game. He then announced that the game would be released tomorrow. The gaming crowd was hyped. The people who played Crystal wars were the ones hyped up the most. They naturally knew the level of the games made by their ' god ' hood.

Next day, he released the game. The game was a hit. It was frigging hit. On the first day alone, there were over 7 million users registered. Good thing that Shuvam had bought a total of 1000 TB of cloud space for the game which could allow a little over 50 million people play the game simultaneously.

The days went by. Everything was going normally and it was already time for the e-sports competition for Call of duty.

It had been about three months since the release of the game Mech wars. Both the games crystal wars and mech wars had over 30 million registered users. Shuvam had used the dev coins got from these competitions to upgrade all the other nine game dev related skill proficiencies to advanced and had also upgraded some skill proficiencies to Expert level.

The UI designing, FX designing, level designing, server management and server management skills were the only skills left at advanced level every other skill had an expert proficiency.

He needed 10 million more users in order to buy these skill proficiencies which were sold at 20,000 per skill. He had also made his creativity and endurance over 20. He was like an powerhouse of unique ideas due to exceptionally high creativity whereas he could go a few days gaming continuously because of the high endurance.

On Saturday, he was called to school. Everyone on the Call of duty e-sports team was called to the for some last minute practice as tomorrow was the competition.

As expected of the expert proficiency in gaming, he was just too good. He was like a death god killing every enemy in the game without dying a single time. And the worst thing was every 8/10 kills of his were headshots.
