HOLDING YOU IN A CORNER EVERYONE DOES NOT KNOW OF.

Unedited

Wen Zhu Zhi stiffened at hearing what he said.

Bai Zhi never cared that much. His heart had always not twisted and turned that much1 and he didn’t hide what he liked or disliked. Before, he had not met him. Now, he had met him with great difficulty. Naturally, he had to tell him.

Wen Zhu Zhi, however, thought otherwise.

He froze on the spot for a few seconds before coming back to his senses.

Before he had the time to organise his words well, Bai Zhi tossed another blow.

“Do you like me now?”

“I don’t like you!”

He hastily replied, the speed was astonishingly quick.

Bai Zhi, however, did not give up, “Why not?”

“Because, because when you like someone, your heart speeds up,” When Zhu Zhi swallowed his saliva.

“But your heart is beating very quickly.”

“That’s me being nervous,” Wen Zhu Zhi retorted. “Moreover, liking someone will make you blush from shyness.”

“Not only are you blushing, your neck is all red.” Bai Zhi ruthlessly exposed him again.

“That’s me feeling hot,” Wen Zhu Zhi would not admit it even if he died2. “Besides, liking someone is——”

“Look at tonight’s stars, they’re so bright,” Bai Zhi suddenly voiced, interrupting him, a brilliant smile on his face. “Let’s look at the stars, anyway……”

His voice gradually became smaller, Wen Zhu Zhi could not hear him clearly. “What?”

Bai Zhi laughed and did not speak.

Wen Zhu Zhi exhaled, wisely ending the subject. He raised his head and looked at the sky.

Bai Zhi was in an area he could not see him and he looked at the side of Wen Zhu Zhi’s bright and handsome face from the side.

If he doesn’t want to say it, forget it.

The little demon very considerately thought.

Anyway, in the future, the two of them would definitely be together, very happily being together.

After a while, the sound of the wind was stagnant. It had become increasingly peaceful all around. The sleepiness got to Bai Zhi’s head and his open eyes had gotten smaller and smaller. He gradually fell asleep.

When the sound of the man’s long and continuous breaths was heard in his bosom, Wen Zhu Zhi lowered his head to see Bai Zhi sleeping soundly with his eyes closed.

His eyes slightly moved as he quietly gazed at the man’s sleeping face.

These days, Bai Zhi has lost some weight from working hard and constantly being on the move. His originally slightly meaty face was now somewhat bony and angular. Wen Zhu Zhi quietly embraced him and suddenly recalled his former appearance.

He had not paid much attention to Shao Luo in the past. And now that he thought back, he was probably just a child that was like carved white jade.3

He didn’t remember much about Shao Luo. How could one blame his former self for not knowing that he and this imperial prince would have this day come?

On a remote, uninhabited planet, embracing one another as much as they like, spending long nights together.

If everything just stopped here4, that would be very good.

Wen Zhu Zhi thought about it and sighed.

The sky was soon bright when Bai Zhi was called by Wen Zhu Zhi. He rubbed his eyes in a daze and heard Wen Zhu Zhi’s voice.

“Do you want to see the sunrise?”

Bai Zhi suddenly sobered.

His soul became excited and he very happily looked all around for a long time. “Can I see it from here?”

Wen Zhu Zhi nodded, “You will in a moment——”

His voice abruptly halted.

Bai Zhi was suddenly alarmed. He also sensed something and slowly turned his head, exchanging looks with We Zhu Zhi.

There’s something coming.

His previous excitedness was replaced with tenseness. Bai Zhi checked his weapons and took a step behind the tree to hide. Wen Zhu Zhi followed after him. The two figures were hidden well.5

The sound of rustling came closer and closer, Bai Zhi held his breath. The people coming gradually exposed their true identities.

Zerg.

As expected.

One after another, the Zerg crawled out of the path. They were densely packed and the people looking felt nervous.

Bai Zhi secretly clenched his teeth. It seems that the ones from yesterday were scouts, but the Zerg were determined to bring them back.

He roughly estimated the amount of Zerg. At the same time, he quietly pulled Wen Zhu Zhi’s hand over, writing a sentence on top of it.

“I’ll distract, you leave.”

After that, he proceeded to turn his head and watch the enemies ahead. However, his hand was suddenly pulled. Wen Zhu Zhi looked at him and wrote strokes6.

Bai Zhi froze for a moment. Before he could think of how to persuade him, Wen Zhu Zhi moved and slowly wrote something on his palm.

“I’ll distract, you leave.”

Bai Zhi knitted his eyebrows. Nevertheless, Wen Zhu Zhi suddenly rushed out. He charged into the army of Zerg.

The Zerg were already closely watching their hideout, just waiting for an opportunity to eliminate the two people. And now that they had seen Wen Zhu Zhi take the initiative and appear, they were pleasantly surprised7 and all rushed over like a tide.

The enemy troops came swarming in and Wen Zhu Zhi was not in the least fearful. He agilely raised his hand and shot, with his right hand, he waved a blade and restrained the Zerg’s movements. With his left hand, he opened fire. In a split second, brains were flowing all over the place.

Emerald green fluid was splattered all over the ground. Several attacking Zerg slowed down a bit and retreated a few steps in cowardice. Wen Zhu Zhi’s body was covered in hostility and he swept a somewhat disgusted glance at the green traces on his clothing. His voice was very cold.

“Only capable of this much, how did you get the courage to be this presumptuous here?”

The words were arrogant and the tone was disdainful, inciting the Zerg to stir up again.

The hands of Bai Zhi gradually formed fists, his eyebrows wrinkling.

The system could not openly appear, and the amount of Zerg exceeded his imagination. He wasn’t certain he could safely lead Wen Zhu Zhi out.

Seeing more and more Zerg rush up, Bai Zhi’s heart was chaotic and he no longer thought so much. He lifted his gun and ran out.

Whatever, it was only a few insects, that’s all. It’s nothing to be afraid of.

After Bai Zhi gave himself some reassurance, he immediately drew out his blade, chopping some Zerg that was about to sneak attack Wen Zhu Zhi.

Blood splashed across, Wen Zhu Zhi turned around and hated iron for not becoming steel.8

“What are you doing here? I told you to leave.”

“I won’t escape,” retorted Bai Zhi as he held his gun, “I’m going to survive with you.”

“You……” Wen Zhu Zhi was speechless. He was angry at Bai Zhi’s disobedience. Fortunately, he couldn’t scold him right now. He could only shift his fury on the Zerg’s heads.

“Be careful, their antennae are poisonous.”

After Wen Zhu Zhi spoke, his hand moved a bit more and his blade moved quicker, making one overwhelmed. Bai Zhi saw him suddenly seem like he’s been injected with chicken blood.9 Although he was somewhat surprised, he didn’t have the chance to ask him about it.

As more and more Zerg approached, Bai Zhi became more and more irritated.

“Uncle, can’t I take on my true form and eat all these insects!”

“Of course not!” The system put a stop to him. “You’ll have indigestion.”

Bai Zhi: “……Don’t care about digestion issues at a time like this when people’s lives are at stake, okay?”

“Okay.” The system spoke again, “But if you take on your true form, how will you explain to Wen Zhu Zhi?”

“I……”

“You’re actually a variation of Zerg that’s mingled in the human world for many years?” the system coldly spoke. “Nephew, you’re not at all wary10, are you?”

Bai Zhi, who was miserably refused, became more and more jittery, “Then what now? How much longer do we have to fight these damn insects?”

“Huohuohuo, this is when you need the help of the omnipotent system!”

The system very proudly flew in the sky. After whetting its appetite, it unhurriedly opened its mouth.

“I’ve already issued a distress signal to the imperial family using an anonymous identity. You guys have to hold on for a while then the armed forces will save you guys.”

Bai Zhi had sharply caught a crucial point. “Wait a minute, you can issue signals to the Empire?”

“Yeah.” The system still had not found the loophole and was still happily swaying.

“Then you……” Bai Zhi took in a deep breath, piercing the Zerg in front of him. “We’ve been stranded in this damned place for so many days, why did you not send out a signal?”

The system’s swaying stopped.

“That, uh, this, I……”

“You just watched your nephew and your nephew’s wife survive in the desolate wilderness like that?”

The system knew that it had made a slip of the tongue and immediately hid.

Bai Zhi, who was still full of anger: “……You’re not allowed to leave! You big bastard!”

The system silently turned around and said one sentence: “I’m the big bastard, you’re the little bastard. Oh, yeah.11”

After saying that, he continued to play dead.

Bai Zhi was so angry, he couldn’t speak, “……!!”

Basically saying he’s simple-minded and it’s easy to guess what he’s thinking.死不承认.Describing his fair skin and saying it was as smooth as carved/polished jade.Like, he wants time to freeze.I don’t think it’s that great of a hiding spot. Strokes of Chinese characters.惊喜若狂 = pleasantly surprised like mad (idiom); capering madly with joy / to express boundless pleasure.恨铁不成钢 = lit. to hate iron for not becoming steel / to feel resentful towards sb for failing to meet expectations and impatient to see improvement (idiom). In this case, WZZ wanted BZ to leave, which he didn’t.They’re just saying he suddenly had a lot of energy/became excited or whatever.Saying he’s got a lack of maturity and he’s naive and stuff…Pretty sure 欧耶 is a transliteration. Also, it’s saying it in an arrogant manner.

Zenne: Andddd, the system is playing dead again.
